  1. The map is fully generated when you .. well, generate the map. As in, before you start a new game. If the POIs weren't there, they won't be there - which is the likely case here. If the POIs have merely been changed, the next quest (or other chunk reset) might load in the new version. So, some might change, completely new ones, no.
  2. They seem to have actually solved half of that problem as well, the craftable Q5 at T3 will have the same amount of mods as the Q6, so all of the difference is a few percent stats.
  3. That, for active people; and for lazy ppl like me, just path your base somewhat reasonably and a couple of spikes handles early issues, and a single turret handles all the later game issues.
  4. Indeed; my dietary "may" -statement may not have been an implicit acknowledgement of the possibility..
  5. To be completely honest, I do enjoy the short-circuit going on in my brain every time I drink: *Chug clug clug* ... "did I have jars already, or do I need to drop this one ... oh right! great!" It wasn't a big deal, but it was a pointless extra thought that went thru my head. Now it's fading and I ain't going to miss it when it's gone. For everything else accomplished here, yeah, no. Having issues finding H2O standing next to a lake is not going to make sense. If you want to make glue harder, make the campfire recipe locked under workstations, and the chem station recipe locked further down the same line. And double the costs for all I care... just don't break basic logic, please.
  6. Yeh, I guess it's technically correct, which is the best way of correct of course. But, did you know, saturated fat may decrease your chance of a heart attack. As for Feral Sense; I don't use it that often, it feels mostly a little artificial. More zeds on occasion, but it doesn't really make the game more interesting, just more strenuous.. or something. When I do, I still stick to a good bow (mostly), or crossbow or a rifle for anything outside "half a room", those things can at least hit reliably. If I'm maining a shotty, I'll just run close enough to hit
  7. I don't disagree with your overall point, "slugs have their use at range"; I just felt that counting lost damage for buckshot is a little bit disingenuous if Not counting miss chance for slugs - the spread is pretty much the same. For our difference, I don't really prep for fights at 10+ meter range; if I have that much space, the target isn't really a threat, usually ..
  8. Each pellet missed is 10%, each slug missed is 100%. If you're 100% sure of a slug hit, you'll get .. 100% pellet coverage, 90% of the time and about 50% coverage for the rest (as a really crude guesstimate)
  9. Weell, jumping does. So don't fall off that sidewalk too often. (or did at some point, haven't checked in ages..)
  10. Sure, the "stun" / slow is good, but the stagger from the PMG is somewhat equally useful. 15 (or 22) rounds means you can drop a couple targets reliably, esp if you bother to go for head shots. I don't blame you for liking the shotty, but in my eyes it's not really comparable.
  11. Well, I'll be Dan'd .. thanks (Birdshot is so well known for its penetrating ability, that you might pardon my mistake )
  12. I don't really doubt you, you're usually more on point than most.. but since I've assumed otherwise, I have to ask: Is that "actual" penetration, each pellet hitting several targets, or just first X pellets killing the first target and the rest skipping thru the dead zed(s)? I've gotten plenty multiple-headsplosions with shotties, I even aim for them - but I've always thought it's just the "rest" of the pellets finding the next target.
  13. That pipe machine gun is the absolute best of the pipe tier, only real drawback is the tiny magazine. Give it a whirl, ASAP
  14. Probably a good pick, those guys should have plenty of extra jars already from tossing all that water.. (the office chairs "are" leather, but you get more via scrapping vs wrenching, the mechanical part involved scraps into leather I guess .. ) Overall, the change is likely nothing more sinister than just "let's add heat to all workstations". Won't really change a thing, or at best require you to drop a couple tactical spikes a couple days earlier in the playthrough. Not a big deal, but makes little sense as "activity"..
  15. They come from the same dimension your spent brass goes to. The dimension that donates leather whenever you scrap an office chair. And the extra water whenever you use a bucket.
  16. I dunno, might be good to show the unfair nature of the game within the steam refund -timer ... it ain't going to get better from there anyway
  17. If all else fails, land claim and pick up. Probably won't generate heat while full; that, of course, remains to be seen... I'm thinking it's likely going to be an insignificant amount, but why put it in then .. and if it's actually significant. Eh. Passive screamer farming I guess ..
  18. Come on, you rot for a couple months first and then try to walk around. You'd scream too! Oh wait.. But.. how do you clear your POIs? I haven't summoned a screamer yet, done a few T5s .. I do a lot of bows and melee, but I'm not shying away from shotties or boombooms as required (or just fun )..
  19. Heh, but in a .. what, a "flash of poetic irony", it was the mod's snarky tone that got me to snark at the process itself.. which eventually lead to the escalation of the issue
  20. Wouldn't that just be a matter of setting the number of books needed lower? Seeds already complete at 20 (30?) magazines, way lower than most other things.
  21. Also the trash traps on the ground, the shattered glass version. Found in every POI.
  22. Highly depends on the problem you're trying to solve. The most common complaint is people getting on roofs to clear loot stashes. Neither of these would solve that.. you could build staircases/ladders etc. Another potential complaint is nerdpoling out of danger.. immaterial start frames would solve that partially - you could still prep or just build fast. But I doubt that's an issue many want "fixed".
  23. I don't have the "Add new report" button on mine: Nor is there any mention that "Bug pool" is the correct location for the New reports, that part I will have to just guess. From there there's the button.
  24. While I agree that people should bother "more", the flow of creating a Bug Report here is actually pretty effing bad. The forum SW isn't a good fit for it, which causes half the issues.. needing to provide logs by learning to use a third-party website.. finding possible dupes before posting means reading thru an excel-sheet, title by title.. editing things is disabled (iirc) ... the instructions are there, behind couple clicks on the red banner, but I can't see instruction on where to actually post the report itself -is there an actual link to that functionality there or am I just blind?
  25. Just did Higashi for the first time in A21.. 5/5 Sledges now, but still cleared a lot of it with a Comp Bow (quest reward). Still rolling a stone sledge; I made a Q5 Iron, but the damage isn't worth the slowness.. most things die on one with the stone-on-a-stick anyway. But, for whoever designed the prison_02, my heartfelt, cold, sarcastic 'thanks, mate' .. Higashi was still Higashi, but I couldn't take it seriously. What's the point of clearing my corners when you're just going to spawn crap on me anyway, whenever you like. So I didn't. Took a few hits, blamed my now-blind-for-roleplaying-reasons character for it. Completely cheesed the final fight, yay.
