  1. Thanks for the save, Alloc! That's certainly a weird one for the books, that's for sure. Thanks for reporting back that it worked, too. Now hopefully you can have fun And try not to get eaten
  2. Hey @Alloc, would you have any idea what's going on here?
  3. This isn't possible anymore, selling things like small stones is no longer acceptable in machines. We're aware of these, the drawbridge should be fixed. If you know specific, weird cases give a bug report on those though. I'm not sure what you mean here. If you're looking for water blocks, water doesn't act like blocks anymore, it's a data value, setwatervalue x.xx entering this (or swv for short) with a z-block down (the blue box) will add water inside that block. 1 is full, 0 is empty, and it can take decimal floats, so "swv .5" will fill halfway in that selection. Yeah, I'm not too much of a fan of that either. I'll look into it. Same as bug4 Same as bug 4/5 This doesn't reproduce for me. Trying to share the quest on the second page (with 3 pages of quests) again results in it not sharing with a "No party members in range for quest sharing" popup. ------- Please break up tickets instead of compiling them on one ticket, though, thanks!
  4. Well that's disappointing. Can you take the launcher log and an output log and post them somewhere like pastebin? They're located in Appdata, you can paste this into the run box: %appdata%/7daystodie/logs
  5. Just linking these together, same issue.
  6. Thanks for all of the information folks. This issue looks to be fixed up in our internal patches, it's undergoing more testing; hopefully we can get it to yall soon. If anyone does have information that hasn't been posted before, please do share it with us, and we'll add it to testing. Thanks again and sorry about the spicey-drone behavior 😅
  7. Yeah. I can point to an issue though, had a few moments and took at look at the log. Not sure which mod does what, but I see a bloodmoon speed one. If you set a value that's outside the valid range, you'll get errors like that. You said you removed bloodmoons, maybe some mod referenced it or something. So, that's a general area to look for.
  8. Heya, so that's a bit odd and I asked around the team chat. We didn't really see any clear-cut reason why this is happening, but let's assume that somehow some network goblins are messing with some data on your installs from the store... To be sure that the pesky goblins don't interfere, add exceptions for the xbox/gamestore apps (if you use Windows Defender it should be added already, but if you do happen to have another antivirus, don't forget those), and restart your network Go into the Xbox app and in your library, there's a 3-dot button there, go into Manage and hit check for updates: Then, click Verify and Repair, do this twice just to be sure If this doesn't work, browse to the install folder, delete the executables inside there and then verify and repair. If this still isn't working, try launching it without EAC, does it make a difference? Also, I'm not sure what this is yet, but I saw a Gamelaunchhelper executable inside the directory, it did some things and brought the launcher up, maybe this will help? If all else fails, there are other thoughts and I can certainly call for backup. Quite strange, it should work right out of the box.
  9. Hm, okay then that's enough for a warrant to check into that further, thanks. I was wondering if you had a modding issue with it, if you do let me know. I'll give it a check and ask a dev for clarification.
  10. No, the verify only works for the steam installation of the game. You should be able to use SteamCMD and link the install to where your modded/copied version is to work with it that way though.
  11. Not in a live game no, that was one of the things about that function that was causing a lot of issues when done live sadly. But, there is a new terrain tool that may be helpful.
  12. Hm. Did you follow the wiping of the registry and save data instructions? That should have cleared it, maybe try removing the entire Appdata folder for 7 days out of that directory (if you don't want to just delete it). Ideally if you just want to get a clean slate: 1. Use the game launcher's cleanup tool to wipe all the data 1b. Make sure the registry entry for 7 days to die is gone 2. Make sure the appdata folder for 7 days to die is clean/gone 3. Either uninstall the game (shouldn't be needed but you never know) and/or verify the game files twice through Steam (I would verify files after an install too)
  13. That should do it, thanks. If a dev needs more information I'll come back of course.
  14. That makes sense, thanks for letting us know. If you do have crashes do report back though. This game does a ton of memory/storage calls, so an intrusive anti virus like avast can definitely cause it - make sure exceptions are set.
  15. You're welcome. We've had some updates that hopefully helped you out. Let us know here if you run into issues again though.
  16. Yeah you can return here anytime. Yeah in that dev item list there are XP bundles, skill/book items (you can just search for those in the cm menu, the dev items will max them out). giveselfxp is a console command to give yourself XP too, if you want.
  17. Ah nah I still want to give it a go. Initially, I ran the game for 7 days after putting collectors down and it hasn't reproduced, but I've seen weird oddities like this so it's plausible enough to warrant further checking.
  18. You're welcome and thanks for bringing it up, no need to be sorry it does seem weird and you never know when something is overlooked so it's good to be sure.
  19. Unfortunately, no, you don't have the options to move around versions with the xbox store version. You will need to make a new world/game for A21.
  20. You're welcome, thanks for responding back with that! AMD's software can be quite fussy at times.
  21. I haven't been able to reproduce this, but one thing that stands out in your log is you've XML mod parsing failures 2023-08-11T11:50:49 46.572 ERR XML loader: Loading and parsing '' failed 2023-08-11T11:50:49 46.574 EXC No item/block with name 'PRGDyeStation' existing at RecipesFromXml+<LoadRecipies>d__1.MoveNext () [0x000e7] in <d7dcfa4979674f179c13273f8b30b551>:0 at ThreadManager+<CoroutineWrapperWithExceptionCallback>d__51.MoveNext () [0x00044] in <d7dcfa4979674f179c13273f8b30b551>:0 UnityEngine.StackTraceUtility:ExtractStringFromException(Object) Log:Exception(Exception) <>c__DisplayClass59_0:<handleReceivedConfigs>b__0(Exception) <CoroutineWrapperWithExceptionCallback>d__51:MoveNext() UnityEngine.SetupCoroutine:InvokeMoveNext(IEnumerator, IntPtr)
  22. https://community.7daystodie.com/announcement/11-report-an-alpha-21-bug/ Definitely would need some more information, at the very least a log file from the server itself and from at least 1 client attempting to join/send party invites and they fail
  23. Before I look into this, you have game mode: all, you've seen this on a server and in an MP session too?
  24. Unfortunately, the nature of the giant, you can go and do anything anywhere and there's SI involved game, things like that are done for a reason. Explosions, gunshots, exploding/vomiting zombies can wreak a POI, which can make getting through it confusing, collapse loot rooms, make the whole builds unstable, things like that. So, using harder materials and painting them to look like wood/carpet is standard procedure. Now, if there's something like steel being used as a piece of a tent, that's a bit much . Thanks for reporting it though
  25. Can't say I've seen or heard of this one... I can try to see if I can spot something in the profiler, but if I can't reproduce it, it may not show much. Have you tried the Use Native Input Module in the game launcher? Fullscreen/exclusive/windowed? What mouse do you have, and what DPI is it set to, also if you can find it, the polling rate.
