  1. IDK...I just remember Madmole ordering it be done and a ticket made up for it. It was just for the higher tier bows and xbows. No other weapon was discussed.
  2. Higher tier bow and xbow damage has been increased for A20. FYI.
  3. I played during those beta releases and despite the difference in how they were named they functioned very similarly to the Steam Early Access Alphas we are playing for this game. I absolutely loved following the development and playing each new version of Minecraft and reading the changelogs and discussing the game with others. When I came to 7 Days to Die in December of 2013 I was hoping that it would be a similar experience. I had never tried an Early Access title before but I was not disappointed. It has been a rewarding and fun journey witnessing all the changes.
  4. You just came here hoping Ezuna'd tell YOU to go back to school too. I've told you too many times to count that those boys and girls are too young for you.
  5. Which is also the fourth easiest option. Noob!
  6. December 3rd is the first possible weekend that I will gift a copy of the game to anyone who can show me a video of themselves wrenching a mine...
  7. I said it was was the first possible weekend it could happen meaning this week and next week are impossible.
  8. If you actually do love it as it is then what is the problem? If you really do have 3000 hours then you can't complain that its been torture. You've obviously gotten your money's worth. Why is the label "done" so important to you if you already love and have played this game the equivalent of 125 full days? That's a little over 4 months of your life of playing 7 Days to Die with no sleep and no breaks. I could see someone who tried it for a few hours and hated it because they couldn't stand the unfinished nature of it being very upset that it hasn't been finished yet and for those 10 guys, my heart really goes out to them and I feel bad that they've had it sitting in their library uninstalled for years just waiting for a finished version that they can bear playing and get their money's worth-- but that's not you obviously. You love it. In fact when school gets out you'll probably play it some more once all your homework is done. Don't stay up too late. It'll make you cranky.
  9. I've read several reports from people saying that it is safest to limit playtime to an hour before giving it a rest. One of those times that the game crashes it will be while the game is writing to your save file and then your saved game will be corrupted. Since the game saves itself every several seconds or so the odds of avoiding a corrupted save are not good if you keep playing long sessions that result in a crash.
  10. Sure he is...unless he can't get his server to support 50-100 players at the same time and then he's ready to ditch us all for Minecraft. (Oh, and take his 5000 followers with him...) /staying to joke around and be part of the community since 2017 when ziplines and random gen caves were dropped.
  11. Well...he hopes to at any rate.
  12. Just as your anger and bitterness about the release date was based upon something that you were sure was true but turned out to not be true, so it is with your anger and bitterness about what you believe to be true about streamers. Much of what you just take as a given about them is completely wrong and almost a cartoonish caricature of reality. I'm glad you came to see the truth about Monday releases for experimental. Maybe eventually you'll reassess the foundation upon which you've built your prejudices against streamers and those who participate as audience members.
  13. Its not this coming weekend or next weekend for sure. Weekend of December 3rd is the first possible weekend it could happen. Go ahead and play this week and next week and let the internal hype start building the following week.
  14. Holy Crap man! Forget whether you are a typical streamer. I don't think you're a typical human being!
  15. So we can look forward to more reports of how big your community is and how you all may be migrating to another game if things don't change the way you want them to after A20 drops? Oooh can't wait... Saying no to THAT game is super easy. Barely an inconvenience.
  16. This is an error that happens when you use a map from a previous version that isn't compatible. When you make a new game and name it the same as an existing old save that might be sitting in your world files from past alphas, it can cause the game to reference that old save. You can either clean all your data or just make sure that each name you pick for your current games is unique and not a re-use. We will get this exact report of no trader many times after A20 drops and people are either using their A19 maps or not cleaning their registry of all old maps and saves and then starting a new game with the same name they've already used. Of course it could be something else but I suspect it is this.
  17. Because we can. 25 campfires all burning at once crafts screamers who bring the rest.
  18. That's great. Tell me the date that you and your 5000 are switching over to Minecraft and I'll mark it down on my calendar... Not if you keep posting about it. How many more times do you plan to announce that it's over and you and all your many peeps are going to go elsewhere? Nobody here is trying to talk you out of it. You could be playing Minecraft right now but for informing us over and over again that you are considering it. So go make it. You have my blessing. Think of me every time you slice up a Creeper without it exploding.
  19. Thanks for the feedback. We take it seriously meaning we hear what you are saying and understand what you want. 7 Days to Die is primarily being developed as a PVE experience whether that is you as a lone survivor or you and up to 7 mates working together. It is not being built to be a Fortnight King of the Hill style of game with 50-100 players trying to be the last one standing. PvP of any kind is not really the focus although it is obviously allowed. The officially supported number of players is 8 or less which is the perfect number of friends/family to play with each other against the game and the level of camaraderie that this game evokes from players who play together in this way is off the charts and beyond any other game that I have experienced. We have letters from players who share how much this game has benefited their relationships with their rl friends and family members that they play together with. This is what the game is truly about even though you can stretch things to get 20 strangers together killing each other and wrecking each others' forts. That can be fun too, but it is a fun that is being duplicated 100s of times out in the land of video games. There are tons of games that do PvP way better than 7 Days to Die. But there are none that do PvE with friends/family better than 7 Days to Die, imho. Therefore, I would not expect them increase player counts to the MMO proportions you seem to be wanting. They have talked about working on a PvP mode of the game after gold that may support higher player counts and with some other revisions that will better support PvP but if they do it will just be as gravy. The game they have built which is for up to 8 players working together to survive horde nights and co-operate in exploring, looting, sharing tasks for harvesting, farming, and crafting and coordinating efforts to create a fantastic fort is exactly what they want. At any rate, you can expect A20 to be very much like A19 as far as number of players supported. With bandits coming in A21 I don't see player counts increasing for that version either. Hope that helps you decide how you want to allocate your gaming time and energy.
  20. This is not really true. I usually have to remind console players that TFP is a PC developer and had little to do with the console port other than providing source code and having some of the programmers work with Iron Galaxy. By the same token, the end of Telltale and the console version did not really affect TFP work. It was lawyers hired by TFP that handled the legalities while the programmers and testers just kept on keeping on.
  21. A White Knight is a pejorative term for a forum user that defends the developers at all costs. I brought it up because I thought it would be funny coming from me and also to rib Mega for being such an outspoken fanboy. Not if they drank from this big bowl of koolaid I've got over here first!!!! lol (but really)
  22. Are you saying that Mega was defending? What a @%$#ing White Knight!!
  23. I never said it can't be changed. I never even said that I hope they never change it. In fact, I went back and read my posts in this thread and I actually said that I hope that they do change it but it isn't up to me. My original statement was a simple one of fact to answer the question of "Why do we have empty worlds when modders can easily add tons of zombies?". Now you seem to be asking "Will the devs ever re-evaluate the minimum requirements of this game and perhaps make design decisions based upon a higher standard?" to which I can only give my opinion that I do hope that they will and my own assumption that as they get nearer to gold release they will surely look at it and make a decision. I will also add that the currently listed specs are not the same as originally posted back in 2013. They have changed at least twice so it seems likely that they will probably change again. But I have no idea when and I do always defend their right to set their own priorities. You got me there. too controversial...
  24. Before I answer, I want to state that I loved the infinite maps and was personally very forgiving of hiccups and odd moments where new chunks needed to load in order to have infinite maps and in no way was in favor of giving those up. Now let me explain: The developers moved to a system of pregeneration where the map is generated one time before you play on it for the first time. After that it behaves just as Navesgane does for the purposes of loading in and out of memory. A full map is stored on your hard drive so that as you travel the world, the loading and unloading of chunks is much faster than straight procedural generation. This helped performance quite a bit. You cannot pregenerate infinity. So the new system no longer supported infinite worlds. The new system does support distant terrain and the new A20 feature of dynamically updated distant terrain that will represent player made changes. None of that was possible with infinite maps. The new system improves performance over the old. Whether those advantages are worth the loss of infinite maps is going to be up to each person. The developers thought it was worth it. Maybe they were wrong and it was a big mistake. At the same time I also understand that at this point there is zero chance of them dumping the current system (mistake or not). Dupes of POIs is one of the things they worked hard on for A20. Hopefully you won't see much of it if at all. With over 145 new POI's in addition to the new POI's A19 added there should be a good variety in A20. If you do see 3 clone POI's all lined up on the same block then definitely do post a picture of it along with your map's seed and the location and post it in the A20 bug pool once that opens.
  25. Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Why on earth would you upgrade in anticipation of an experimental build anyway? Why not wait until experimental drops and then upgrade in anticipation of the stable release? You should definitely know after 7 years that release dates are never set in stone and they do change and are missed more often than not. I'm sure enough about the current December date that I'm not going to go post December/January as was suggested but I wouldn't go spending a lot of money based on that date.
