  1. That's why you get so many screamers. That heat map is boiling!!!
  2. Players would lose a lot more abilities than they would gain if the devs decided to make players and zombies equal. faatal said it best…you can’t crawl through a 1 meter hole because of that 4x4 jeep you have in your backpack.
  3. @WarMongerian keep in mind that we are about a month away from the next major update that will change some of the early game strategies and balance. I would hate for you to put so much effort into documenting all of this for a how to guide that will be outdated next month. Just something to think about. Love your passion!
  4. No. We had to do it because it was alpha. (Only got a few weeks left to use that...)
  5. @Crater Creator handles streamer requests. I've just tagged his name so I'm sure he will be along shortly to get you the information you require.
  6. The funny thing is that any consumer can decide to prioritize better over sooner simply by waiting to play the game until it is better. If someone is disappointed that 7 Days to DIe is not going to finished next month when it releases to 1.0, they can just wait another year to start playing it once it is better.
  7. Terrible or not it is common and has been common for years now. And despite all the online chatter that decries the behavior and calls it the worst failing of the industry, that sentiment is not reflected when you look at sales and play time numbers. I think it's about time to stop focusing on how "terrible" it is and accept that it is the industry normal now. We don't play games on cartridges, floppy discs or CDs either anymore. We've turned this corner in the industry and there is no reason to hold up this studio or that studio for operating within the same standards as everyone else. It is obvious to the industry that the greatest concern and care of the consumer is to get their hands on new content as soon as possible. The desire to get content faster trumps the desire to get that content in a perfect form. Game studios know this and so they cater to the ASAP demand and let the quality demand slide in its favor-- and the fact that nothing has changed for years but instead settled even further into this model is a testament to how right they were in discerning the number one priority in their customers: sooner over better.

  9. Why? Events are officially listed now for the first time in the roadmap. The roadmap was the first time I began to hope that dynamic events would actually be implemented. It was talked about but never officially added to any posted list until the 1.0 announcement so I was hopeful but always telling myself there was never anything official.
  10. meh...microtransactions, alpha, beta, 1.0 definitions are fluid these days.
  11. Discussing other users is definitely off topic. Let’s stick to 1.0 discussion and questions.
  12. Sorry Matt that the tone, visuals, theme, mechanics, and now pricing model of the game are so opposite of what you want. I guess things didn’t turn out the way you would have wished. That happens sometimes with early access titles.
  13. That blows. But they ARE already in the game. just sayin…
  14. That moment when a dev made 14 promises....
  15. Changed the title of this thread to show it is the 1.0 overflow thread. I don't want anyone to think their very important posts about tomatoes and such are residing in some Alpha trash thread.
  16. Yes but you must never look at a deer unless there is a vulture lined up perfectly between you.
  17. That cowboy hat is one of the new paid DLC costumes. KIDDING!!!
  18. of course they aren’t likely to update to any new Unity version which would push them into the new pricing plan. Unless….maybe THATS the reason for the price increase….
  19. Just wanted to point out that if they had gone on with the alpha numbering we wouldn't have gotten bandits until Alpha 23 anyway which would have been....next year. There really isn't any change other than for the first time ever a publicly released roadmap with dates paired with features.
  20. There's no guarantee that it will go to Gamepass immediately. But, yes, the legacy console version will be leaving and will be delisted and no longer able to be purchased. Those who also play the PC version through Gamepass will no longer be able to play once it leaves. WIth the new pricing once 1.0 releases PC players at the least should plan to pick it up this week during the sale.
  21. Be careful not to fall into the trap of judging 1.0 by A21. Any adjustments and balancing changes to current (A21) systems have been held to be released in the next big update which will be 1.0 and we haven't seen them yet. Ultimately, A21 will be a dead-end build on the steam beta list that anyone who dislikes 1.0 will go back to and play...heheh. It is not representative of 1.0. Once the experimental build for 1.0 is released you can make your own judgements but the dev team has definitely made adjustments based on customer feedback over the past year. That's not to say that if you hate the magazine system you will suddenly love it and you are correct that it is here to stay.
  22. Thanks for your opinion. As long as you understand that it is just an opinion and that there isn’t anything objectively wrong with it I’m okay with that. For me, as long as the footprint of the transaction remains on the Steam store and doesn’t enter the game itself I won’t be bothered. I don’t want to see a set for sale at the trader that I can’t select unless I pay real money. But if it’s just a list of DLCs to scroll through on the Steam store page for the game I’ll likely never look at them. Besides, this is TFP so the outfits are likely to be over the top funny things like the nerd set. There will probably be a Pimp Set or knowing Madmole: an Arnold Set or Thor Set. Easy pass…lol
  23. If they had released what they had back in 2017 then you’d be getting a lot less of the features listed on the roadmap and what we have today would be 7 Days to Die 2 which would have cost you quite a bit more than getting it all for what you originally paid plus the option to buy extra outfits. If you’re bent out of shape over this list of features they shifted to post launch most of which will still be free, then how can you say you’d much prefer to have 1.0 seven years ago and then pay full game price for what we have now? Hey, ask the console players how they feel about that….
  24. No word yet on that. We need to let the arguing about the roadmap settle a bit before we start the argument over streamer weekend…heheh.
  25. We are getting a good variety of outfits for 1.0. It’s not like they are giving us just one light, one medium, and one heavy armor outfit and then we have to pay for more. Without ever paying an extra dime you’ll have a great variety to play with that give a divers mix of bonuses. Modders will also probably be able to take existing outfits and duplicate them with additional bonuses for even more variety. It’s only if you care about the cosmetic appearance that you’ll feel a need to buy extra outfits. Mentioning reputation isn’t a spoiler. It’s listed on the roadmap they just released and they’ve talked about it many times in the past. I said there’s been work done on it. That’s all.
