I didn't. The conversation was about them being removed so the player can only find water/use the dew collector so water is more of an issue.

Therefore water blocks being depleted/not depleted, which you brought up, is not relevant.

Dude, I literally quoted that part in my first post as a side argument.

The fact you're willingly ignoring how quoting works is your problem... whatever. :frusty:

    Finally.  Some acknowledgement.

... developers tend to play the game how they think it should be played.  They don't do what a seasoned player does.

You could have a point if the "developers" were the only ones testing the game... but

What about Roland? (he's not a dev, and he's an expert player)

    What about the QA guys?

What about sunrise? What about rain? What about all the things that you said we were to gain?

There's nothing to know besides history.  Jars or lack of jars doesn't affect the ability to get water one bit.

...I suppose there were those freaks who would boil water directly in a jar but why?  Pots are plentiful.

If they're planning on limiting pots, they will still be plentiful.

Water has *never* been a problem in the game and I suspect, despite their protestations, it still ultimately won't be.

These dew collectors just replace any hardship their was.

I'm sure both faatal and Roland are just fools then, you're clearly the best player here, and all the water hardships they told us about are just them being noobs I guess.

Yes it is weird, and unnecessary as it won't in any way shape or form make water more difficult, just weirder.

How can you say that? From all I've read on how it plays right now is quite the opposite.

Unless you know something that we don't, that is... :suspicious:

Whelp…since it’s been outed…The dew collector is the new workstation. It is the lowest tier workstation and so will be the first one unlocked by reading Forge Ahead magazines.

It slowly collects three bottles of pure water (irrespective of biome or weather sorry Gup).  Drinking water has been completely rebalanced for A21. Setting up multiple dew collectors will definitely become fundamental to survival and for building your base.

This is great news... not only about the dew collector, but mainly about the water scarcity rebalance.

Is A21 going to be the next Survival Experience also on other aspects? (canned food / hunting, weather effects, injuries)

Oh.  Dew, not rain.  Yeh okay I'm fine with that.  Good call whoever decided to say dew and not rain... Good call indeed.

Actually, they were thinking about this when...

Unloaded chunks and weather don't mix, so there is no current way to make it work with rain.

What I would do (from a non-programmer perspective) is to log somewhere how the weather was during the day.

(e.g.: Rained twice since dawn, snowed once and so on...)

Then, when the player goes back to the collector, I'd add a check to see if today there was rain and add water if it did.ù

This way you don't need to actually have the weather "interact" with the collector... it's just the illusion it did.

I know it's probably slim, but any chance that this becomes a craftable (and functional) item so we could catch rain as a water source?

I was thinking the same... and what about the radio? :cool2:

No changes to farming so far for A21.

I see. Thanks for the reply.

Just know that there's a lot of people on Steam who apparently find the current farming implementation "not worth it" or way too harsh.

My idea was that with a little more balancing boosting the first (say) three levels of the perk a bit, a lot of people would find it more "attractive" to invest into.

Lucky Looters vs. Learning craft from Magazines

When playing in coop there are some division in "roles". The Perception player loots the containers, but now everyone needs to loot in order to make use of the boost in the craft magazine required.

I don't see your point, sorry. Maybe be I misunderstood, but are you saying that in your group only one person opens containers? :suspicious:

So you never spread out in a big POI and always wait for the PER guy to come open any container you find?

  10. Someone on Steam posted this video.

I was wondering what's really happening here... is that a bug or some kind of glitch?

    Spoiler

My take is that for some reason the chicken is stuck "inside" the chair and the AI pathing can't happen anymore, so it'll start cycling through the different idle animations.

    What do you think happened?

I'm not sure if this has been asked already, but could the drone get out of the way when in 'combat' mode?

At least, when I aim at something with a rifle or a crossbow and such?

Maybe it could get behind you or just on the side.

Yeah, there was a discussion on this on Steam and I mentioned it here on the A21 dev diary.

The "drone guy" has taken note of it, and he said, "I'll see what I can do". So I guess we'll see... hopefully he can find a way to fix the "issue".

Wonder if there would be a bit of different loot from the bandits,, weapons, armour, ammo. A legendary ones, or with more unique stats. And/or with mods also.

I don't like the idea, unless they make that bandit in your example stronger.

Think of it. It doesn't make much sense that a run-of-the-mill bandit has special or even legendary gear.

Spider zombie and screamer are not zombies but created by governament mutatants . They used zombie virus but something go wrong.

This is also supported by some POI I've seen which seemed to tell this kind of story... so, I guess you can't be much farther from "the truth".

  13. Well, I had a quick look searching for "role play" and got some results (just a few pages) and most of them were from a few years ago.

The most recent was from this year on May. I guess it's a niche gameplay and not many are doing it by the looks of it.

Or maybe they just play it this way between friends and family, so they don't post there because they already know each other.

I used to post a lot on 7 days forum, you're prolly a noob, since you don't know about the old forum that got deleted and this one was created...

I posted tons of ideas and feedback when this game was new, I quickly learned they don't give a @%$#!

    Welcome back! :baby:

Probably this will be just... hm water without bugs - you know just lakes , canals etc but nothing crazy just like this looks now but working good

Yeah, I understand. I was talking about that.

If water works as... water, that opens up a lot of "water gameplay" that has been impossible until now. :bathbaby:
