  1. Absolutely NO large mutant Spider zombie, dead, parasitic infested, whatever. Just No. You want wall/ceiling crawling spider thingies... go to Australia. They have them and they can keep them, thank you very much! Have mercy on my soul...... *Shudders*
  2. Zombies already fall from the ceiling and land on my head. The thought of seeing one climb up a wall and onto the ceiling in a weird spider crawl fashion traumatizes me in ways I didn't think could happen. I've never wanted to Mod Out ANYTHING in the game so far, BUT that would Definitely Be My First. 😳
  3. Question: Why did you wake up with no clothes and in the middle of nowhere? Answer: A Bottle of Tequila..... Specifically: Jose Cuervo Especial Gold. The. Complete. Entire. Bottle.... yeah, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
  4. There's a way to make an infinite water source at your base. It does require a 4x4 space though. 2x2 for the water with an outer rim block. Create a square with a 2x2 open space in the middle. Upgrade to concrete. If you upgrade blocks after filling with water the water tends to "flow" out. IDK why, IDK how, but it makes a watery mess. I find it best to have at least one side taller to act as a back wall of sort. This "back wall" will be where you aim to deposit water. Craft a water bucket and fill from water source. Empty bucket into your new water well. Grab empty jars and fill them from your new water well. You will have a small water "block" left in well. Scoop that up with your empty bucket then pour back into well. You now have a full 4 block infinite water well. I use half blocks (2 per side) with small(er) corner log blocks (in the empty outside corners) for creativity. Paint as you please. I have tried doing a depth well (going down), a canal well (straight line), & different sizes of each type with comical and frustrating outcomes. picture water all over floor, even to the point of going over side and down to ground level. I got completely flooded and the well area eventually collapsed along with all farm plots in that general area. So the 2x2 flat well works best. If you find a different design that works please let me know. I'd love to hear about it. Thanks!
  5. Interesting. I could see myself using this to lure zeds in so I could snipe them from my catwalk at night. It's how I practice with the Bow. Still can't hit a running bunny tho....stupid ninja bunnies.
  6. The reason mods are made/used is because EVERYONE has their own PERSONAL idea of what would make the game PERFECT for THEM. You have an extensive wish list. You've shown that some of what you want is available via a mod. Having the things you want via mod benefits you. It helps you enjoy the game more. Most of what you listed I personally don't see the need nor want in the vanilla game. With having them available via mod both you and I can enjoy and play the game as we want. Some of what you have listed I could get behind, but only because it personally appeals to me. And if it's available via mod, even better. Don't dis the mod, they add replayability to the game.
  7. I've never understood this excuse. There's an icon on your compass. It even tells you if the satchel is above or below you with arrows pointing up/down. It's yellow, bright yellow. How can it be missed? Also, upper right corner tells you when your about to leave the area. It turns yellow. That means continue forward at your risk. Green means your good to go. The last thing needed IMHO is a colored barrier icon to handhold me. No matter how opaque you make it, it will still be a hinderance to see through and having a line barrier around the poi, not for me thank you. I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with this suggestion.
  8. Shhhhhhhhh........ this isn't something that needs fixing or needs the attention of TFP team....Let it alone.....It'll be the players little secret....ok....good. 😉
  9. I can understand your frustration and the reason you ranted about it. I've been there myself. It helps to remember this problem your having is tied to this one playthrough. You are more than likely to have a different experience with this particular issue in your next one. It's not fair-minded to blame the "loot table" for your negative experience and think it needs to be changed, especially when it's an issue type that: A) Has multiple preventative measures such as those listed in this thread & B) Can be completely different in a different playthrough. You got an infection, couldn't find honey or antibiotics in the time/place you allowed yourself, you died, you felt frustrated and @%$#ed about it, you don't want it to happen again therefore something in the game needs fixing, & you needed to let the game community know about it. Dude.... seriously, I sympathize, but.... you over reacted with your original post IMHO. I take it you didn't have a playthrough going when the honey was truly nerfed with the original a20 release? You think now is nerfed....pfffft.
  10. I believe switching to a different weapon before the zed bleeds out can cause you to not receive the kill exp. I've seen this happen a few times on vids I've watched and one even semi tested this and didn't receive exp. How do you fight the zombies? From the responses you made I can only assume you fight them in an open area, face to face with no player or poi designed pathing?
  11. I agree with this. Just because I may not use a perk doesn't mean it's useless. In every game I've played that utilizes a skill tree there are numerous skills/perks I don't use. Always has been and no doubt always will be. I beg to differ. There are plenty of T1 poi's with safes in them. Plus you have the wonderful glorious new atm's. With T3 and higher quests now having locked end chests, lockpicks can be handy dandy, especially if you're not into beating the thing to death with a pickaxe. I've had a few playthroughs where finding lockpicks was nigh impossible and spending 300 dukes per is not ever happening. (ok, maybe I did once, but I was desperate and it was a true treasure map chest. Don't judge.) It's rare, but I have used that perk so I could make my own lockpicks and thank god it was available so I could.
  12. The trader should be giving you multiple quests to choose from. You don't have to take a quest if it's to a poi you've already done. It may be offered, but You don't need to choose it. There are ways to determine if a particular quest is one you've done before or have just done. They require a bit of extra "work" on your part though. If you'd like some suggestions on how let me know. I understand your frustration, but the town size, the TYPE(s) of poi in that town, poi distance, and general randomness determine what you're offered.
  13. I sometimes did something similar to this back in a19, only I dug 2 down with 1 row of spikes and this was done ONLY around my Home Base. It wasn't meant to kill ALL the zombies wondering in, but more to give me an alert with just a tiny protection amount if I happened to be at ground level for some reason. Sometimes those zeds and animals don't make a sound until after they've wacked you upside the head from behind. Sniping them from my catwalk as the try to navigate the spike canal was one of my favorite things to do. It also saved my butt to many times to count from the wolf spawns, doggie horde, and the frigg'n bears. Omg... the bears! Lol.
  14. Dude... wait.... What!?!! No, just...mother of god and all that's unholy. Mad props to you for keeping your cool. I would have nope'd right out of there.
