Axe13
This game uses the exact same font for the logo and same style, almost the same name, and I thought it was a mobile version of this game...for a second. Unless TFP stole the name and logo from them? I doubt that. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.betterfun.dtd.gp
TotallyNotABot
That's pretty close, but it seems different enough the get a pass, although it's pretty obvious where they got the 'inspiration' from. And I'm pretty sure you can't copyright a font unless The Fun Pimps made it themselves. But the gameplay itself seems very different from 7 days to die, there shouldn't be any huge issues really. warmer
I am all for making game inspired by others, but when you are naming your game with the intent to ride the popular coat tails of another that is pretty weak IMO.
Viktoriusiii
since they also have a picture called "they are millions" (clearly ripping off they are billions) id say this case is pretty clear cut.
SylenThunder
since they also have a picture called "they are millions" (clearly ripping off they are billions) id say this case is pretty clear cut. The overall game design and game play almost exactly mimics They Are Billions from what I can see.
LuckyStar
Yeah this is begging for a lawsuit. Companies like this will keep ripping people off so long as they get away with it. Hopefully "someone" sends a threatening letter from a good lawyer. My law professor once told our class that over 90% of his cases were resolved by simply sending that letter. 4sheetzngeegles
They just did to a game what The Asylum has been doing to movies. Make the name close enough and unsuspecting people beware. They ride the coat tails of others, but can market it if the core is different enough. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Asylum Example they did Atlantic Rim at same time Pacific Rim was released. Janna3921
Did you notice where the developers are from? Hong Kong. Well, what do you expect from that country, sorta country, really. Separate, yet a part of China.
nitnoid
Or, its just a way to show where they got their inspiration? Artists do that a lot, though, not from Hong Kong necessarily...
