Is there any cure. How long does it last? How the ballz do u poop max? Loving how much harder/complicated u made this...really making me think. Still want the bigger backpack x

Bacteria poisoning you can only poop to remove it faster. To poop - sit on a toilet :D It's literally that simple :) It may take a while to remove the food poisoning though so best bet is to try to stay away from flesh and shamwiches for a while.

Maybe I'll make antibiotics cure it as well... Could be handy.

Still working out how to add the bigger bag, I'll have a proper crack at it soon.

Some small fixes and additions

Greetings! I've done a few small tweaks to FennecMod 1.1 - this does not require a restart. Just download and enjoy :D

Science:

I added more craftable things to level up science skill a bit easier. All meds now level up this skill when you craft them, as well as glue, duct tape and a few other things. You can also find science journals in the world as well to read which gives you a +3 to the skill.

Food:

Added more uses for cheese. Now you can make grilled cheese and cheese doughballs! More uses will probably come soon.

Added apples which you get randomly from chopping maple and birch trees.

Added apple juice as a new drink. You can craft it in your backpack, use a juicer, or a squeezer for more efficient crafting.

Added apple pie into the game! Gotta love apple pie, right? :D

Fixes:

Carpenter (2/4) was broken due to a nullref with the carpenter's axe. This has been fixed. If you were affected by this you can use the following to get the questline back:

givequest quest_carpenter_3

FennecMod 1.1 Update: Working Toilets! Collect your Poops Today!

Greetings everybody! A new update for FennecMod 1.1 is here! This update adds a few things and will NOT require a world restart.

Working Toilets!

Did you ever need a source of poop? Do you hate having to travel the world in order to find toilets just to stuff your arm down and see if it has a nice turd in there? Well, today we have the ultimate update for all your pooping needs!

Toilet Upgrade Kit: This will allow you to upgrade any toilet into a working variant! This does include commercial, fancy, and broken toilets. The upgraded toilet looks like the fancy one.

Toilet Removal Kit: This will allow you to box up an upgraded toilet and remove it from your world, carry it around with you and stick it down somewhere else.

Know Your Crap: A new skill! This allows you to learn how to craft the toilet upgrade and removal kits. You will be able to find a book in the world to teach you this as well, so keep an eye out for it!

Using Your Toilet: It's as easy as one, two, poo!

- Simply sit on the loo and you will poop in it. You will have to stay there for a while and your working toilet will eventually become dirty.

- Note that you WILL take damage from sitting on the toilet but the pooping buff should heal off that damage. Just call it pooping pains, mkay?

- Once you hear the chink sound, you will be able to loot your now dirty toilet to collect between 1 and 2 turds.

- Leave the toilet a while, and come back later to repeat the process.

Removing Your Toilet:

- Go to your toilet and get a wrench out.

- Whilst holding the wrench and having a toilet removal kit in your inventory, simply use it as if you were upgrading a block.

- The toilet will be boxed up and ready for you to pick up! Once you pick up the box, the toilet will be added to your inventory.

Aloe Vera: More Uses!

Now aloe vera has some more uses and ways to craft with it. Here's how you can use it!

Aloe Cream crafting:

- You can craft aloe cream in a kitchen workbench with a juicer. Instead of costing 4 aloe plants it will now cost you only 2, so you can double your amount of cream output from aloe plants.

- You can craft aloe cream in an industrial squeezer. Instead of costing 4 aloe plants it will now cost you only 1, so you can quadruple your amount of cream output from aloe plants!

Aloe Vera Juice:

- Did you get food poisoning or yuccaria and hate having to sit on a pooper to get rid of it? Well, now you can craft aloe juice with some aloe plants and a jar.

- Drinking it doesn't restore much hydration, however you will be able to use it to speed up the rate of which food poisoning, yuccaria, snowberry poisoning and stomach cramps go away.

- Drinking TOO much of it however will give you a laxative effect which will increase the rate at which you need to poop by a LOT.

- Using aloe juice AND sitting on a toilet will drastically increase the rate at which you remove the above harmful effects. Try not to use more than 2 in a 12 hour period.

Healing Agent: Aloe cream and turpentine extract both made good healing agents and would heal you by a little if applied directly. You can now mix the two together to create a very potent healing agent that will allow you to heal 30 health when applied.

Strong First Aid Bandage: Crafting some cloth and a healing agent will create a much better first aid bandage. It acts as a combination of a first aid bandage AND a healing agent, so you'll get +30 health plus the extra from using the bandage. It makes a nice stopgap if you don't have enough blood bags to make lots of first aid kits.

Apple Cider!

Now you can craft apple cider by placing apple juice on a chemistry station and letting it ferment. It serves as a similar fashion to beer but does add a little hydration and fruit intake.

Yuccaria should go down. It does take a while though... So be careful. Sitting on a loo will get rid of it faster and now Aloe Vera juice can also speed up the process of which it passes for 6 ingame hours. But don't drink too much aloe juice! :)

Carpenter I should probably look at switching to a cooper one, though you can find iron fireaxes so maybe I'll leave it and change miner to be an iron pickaxe.

Its me again,

Is there some way to set this mod up as a server so my friend and I can play together?

I have no idea how to do it and there is nothing online from what I can see, so any advice will be very welcome.

Thanks again,

If you just want to play together you could always try connecting to one of your guys games and go from there.

- Have both of you install Fennec 1.1 first, then one of you starts a new MP game

- Make sure your player max count is more than 1, I think it sets it as 8 by default but just be sure.

- Now go into steam and invite your friend to join in with your game, and they should get a link to join.

- Then once they spawn in they will be in the same world you are in :)

If you want to set up a server, first of all choose a provider you'd want to go with. I think LogicServers or BlueFang are good choices, but people have preferences so go with whatever you like. Some servers automatically come with an installer for mods, so if you want to install mods on the server you can do this.

To manually install FennecMod:

- First: Switch your server offline so you can make changes to the files. Most servers create the world and everything for you but we need to turn it off and edit before we play.

Setting up FTP to your server:

- You will need to get an FTP client, such as FileZilla. If you haven't got this, download and install it.

- Your server should have an FTP address (an IP address and a port) so you will need to set your client to connect and login to this address.

- Once you got the connection working you should see all your server files that you can access.

Getting the FennecMod files:

- Next, go HERE to download the FennecMod files.

- Once you've downloaded you should have a zip folder. You will need to extract this somewhere easy to find, as you'll need this later.

- Once extracted, go back to FileZilla and on the left hand side (this shows your local filesystem) navigate to where your extracted files are.

Pushing to the Server:

- In FileZilla, copy the Mods folder from your local filesystem to the server's filesystem. The Mods folder should appear alongside the Data folder in your server, just like it does in the mod files.

- Next, open your local Data folder. Copy Config across from your local system to the server, and set to overwrite all files in the Config folder.

- Do exactly the same with Prefabs, but NOT UMATextures (this is just to fix an issue on ModLauncher with client installs)

Setting up your world

- Now that you have the files installed, you can go to serverconfig.xml in your web browser. You should be able to access this in the Config Files section of your online dashboard.

- Here is where you can set your seed names, passwords, etc. Make sure you set a new seed name so that the server generates a brand new world when you start up.

- Once done, come out of serverconfig and start up your server again.

To make sure things are working, go into your output.log and set it to stream. This will give you a view of the console and what's happening. It should say it's created the world and is running once the terrain and world have been generated.

If you have problems with this, let me know and I'll happily do the install for you - you can PM me your login and client area address, and I can help you get set up :)

Use of Beds for Health Recovery

Greetings Mr. Fox!

You are definitely one of my favorite content creators for 7D2D on YouTube.

I find your mod well thought of, but would like to ask if there are any plans to use beds/bedrolls for health recovery (as is the case in the other mods).

Many thanks and more power!

Thank you! I'm glad you're liking what we're doing over on the YouTube side of things :D

Hmmm, we could make some decent beds usable for recovery... Maybe have a health recovery but also speed up the time at which broken bones recover as well, since you'd be resting them. But then, I'd need to add a tiredness system in so that you would be required to rest, which gives both a reason to use a bed but also an extra factor to think about. Since Fennec does turn up the survival aspect a little bit, I think it would be a good move :)

Spelling Bug Found

Hiya Max,

Just downloaded the 1.1 mod today and looked through the folders. You spelled Yogurt wrong, ma dear. :)

It doesn't have an H in it. You spelled it YoghurtBlueberry, YoghurtMixedFruit, and YoghurtYucca.

Not sure if this was intentional on your part, but if it wasn't -- you might want to fix the spelling. :)

Greetings doomdiva :D

Thanks for letting me know - in British English we spell yoghurt with the H included, so it's just me being a poncy English bugger nyahahaha ;) I know in the US and Canada the h is not included.

Fun fact: There's actually a really uncommon spelling of 'yoghourt' as well, though it's quite a rare one. I've only seen it once or twice used. :D

toilet

My fixed-moved toilet has stopped working. I have used it several times before and now it has stopped at 45/100. Debuf is visible as a blood on the screen, but the level of the life bar does not react, before it was seen how life gently falls and rises. Relog did not help.

Edit:

After some time it was possible to finish it but now it stopped again on a different value. But this is not the worst.

My quests have disappeared, except completed Basic Survival 1/8. Maybe it's related to the fact that I did Slash Mastery 2/2 just before the problems started

Edit2:

Recipe remove toilet disappeared too.

Toilet removal kit has been changed for a general 'workstation removal kit' since it now can pick up all workstations :) I need to do an update post on this soon. I will double check on the toilet stuff, it may be an overwritten block ID.

Which quests did you lose? I can tell you commands to get them back :)

For the toilets it may be possible to destroy them and make a new one and hopefully will work again as normal.

Last for miner and carpenter but I know command from Your earlier post. Some vanilla quests disappeared too, I'll find them in creative menu.

I used a wrench on the toilet, it finished the pooping process, there is a turd in the toilet, and a second toilet appeared in the backpack.

Btw how does the system of meeting food needs work? If Chicken Cheesburger has chicken, eggs, cheese and bread, does that mean that there is a need for meat, grains and dairy products?

Hmmmm so you'd want to do this in the F1 console

givequest quest_miner_5

givequest quest_carpenter_5

I am really not sure about the toilet one, I'll have to double check that and see. It may be that you need to place a completely new toilet down in order to have it work, maybe changing the upgrade path somehow screwed with it a bit. I'd give yourself a new one in creative just to test it out :)

There are 5 types you need to satisfy, which are meats, fruit, veggies, grain and dairy. A chicken cheeseburger will give you +meat, +grain and +dairy. A honey yucca pie will give you +fruit, +grain. I made it so that it will give you what is used to craft and make it so the recipes should make sense :) After you get each one to a certain level you will get +20 in health or stamina or +10 in both. Getting all 5 to max will give you +50 to both health and stamina whilst all 5 buffs are active, and give you wellness gain and stamina recovery gain over time :)

Thank you very much for the answer, especially about food.

I tried to put a new toilet (from U) and upgrade it but it did not help, it still does not work for me but ok, I can live without it: P

Edit:

I just died and now the toilet is working normally. Maybe it has to do with food buffs, I had 4 and now I do not have any, and that's a difference.

Hmmmm... I wonder if there is a limit to how many buffs a player can have. I'll have to give that a look but I'm glad it's working for you now at least :)

Update to 1.1: Workstation Removal, New Blocks, Fixes!

Greetings! I have done some updates to 1.1 which has given some nice new additions for you guys, more stuff coming as we go...

Workstation Removal Kits and a new Quest!

A new quest has been added to the game called "The Trader's List". You can find it by buying it from a trader for 500 casino coins (at barter 0).

By completing the quest chain you will get a schematic that will unlock the Workstation Removal Kit recipe. Completing this quest is the only way to get this schematic, so don't try finding it in book stores as you'll be disappointed.

Once you craft a workstation removal kit, target the (fully working) workstation you'd like to pick up and hold a wrench in your hand. Then, right click to start boxing up your workstation. Once it's boxed up, you can simply pick it up, and take it with you! This means that any workstation in the world that works can be picked up (apart from those at a trader). You can also upgrade a non-working station into a working one before picking it up too.

Workstation Upgrade Kit Quests!

The workstation kits can usually only be unlocked by getting the appropriate perk. However, if you would like to get access to an upgrade kit early, you can now find quests in the world to enable you to get one upgrade kit. These quests can only be done once.

- Sink It! - This quest will award you a sink upgrade kit and a couple of other nice items. Has a very small chance of being found in any cupboard or sink, or buy from the trader for 500 coins.

- The Bench Brothers - This quest will award you a workbench upgrade kit and a couple of other nice items. Has a 50% chance of being found on any destroyed workbench, or buy from the trader for 500 coins.

- Bun in the Oven - This quest will award you an oven upgrade kit and a couple of other nice items. Has a very small chance of being found in any oven, or buy from the trader for 500 coins.

Adobe Blocks!

Adobe blocks are BACK! But, they are a little bit different than in A15. Adobe is not as strong a material as it used to be and is less durable than flagstone. For comparison, Adobe has 600HP and flagstone has 1000HP in FennecMod). However, you will be able to build adobe blocks right away and the recipe is not gated behind any workstations, so if you do want to make your own base, you now can. It upgrades to cobblestone with 8 cobblestone rocks.

However there is also another caveat - adobe only comes in 5 basic shapes: Block, Pillar 100, Ramp, Full Corner, Inner Corner. The idea is that it's meant to be an early game building block and you'll want to move to flagstone and cobblestone sooner rather than later. You won't be able to make a toothie out of this stuff.

Emptying Jars!

Now it is possible to empty any jar of liquid or contents! This is so that if you find a jar of murky water or drink that you decide you no longer want, you can go ahead and empty the jar.

To do so, simply find a sink, toilet, or water source block, and LEFT click the jar whilst looking directly at the block. This should pour the contents of the jars out and you will be left with empty jars. Cans of water and cartons of milk can also be emptied out this way too, though I'm not sure why you'd want to do that - the option is still there.

If you need a source of murky water but only have pure water (say you need to use it on a chem station) you can now mix jars of water with dirt or sand to make them back into murky water. Or, just empty them out and then refill at a water source - your call!

Mechanic's Precision Wrench!

The mechanic class now has a very cool endgame item: a Precision Wrench! This wrench is awesome because it will allow you to take any car in the game and get a lot more parts out of it. By holding the wrench and right-clicking on the car, you can disassemble it fully and box it up. After a while you will be able to loot the box and you should get yourself a nice set of car parts to use!

Fully intact cars will give you a guaranteed drop of an engine, battery, 2 sets of minibike wheels, radiators, air filters, hubcaps, springs, mechanical parts, electrical parts, electronic components, scrap iron, copper, plastics, leather, cloth, and short iron pipes, and up to 1000 gas.

Partially intact cars will give you either an engine or a battery, and some of the stuff mentioned above, with up to 700 gas.

Car husks will give you a smaller amount of parts, no engine or battery, but up to 400 gas.

To get the precision wrench you will need to unlock the skill by having mechanic mastery 2, and reading the schematic. The schematic however is extremely rare, and cannot be found at traders. Good luck!

The update is available on the launcher. Enjoy :D

Good day mdf25

And I'm guessing NO Restart is needed .. But thought I would ask, just to be sure.

Thank you for a wonderful mod … the Old Gamer .. :02.47-tranquillity:

Restart should not be required, though I have heard of quests going missing between patches. So if any do let me know and I can give you commands to get them back. :)
