Rabbitslovecactus
I've been having some strange issues today with low FPS. (i7 11700k OC, 3070RTX, 32 GB RAM) The game has been playing fine till today. My FPS were 10 or lower at some points. I rebooted my PC, uninstalled/reinstalled the game, still no luck. I then started a new game and it started to work fine. I then went back to my experimental save and it also started to work fine (thankfully) I then hopped onto my mini bike to do an opening trade routes mission. After driving for about 10 seconds the frame rate dropped very low again, but this time the bike sped up really fast. It must have been going 10x its normal speed. I ended up driving it into a tree because I couldn't control it because of the high speed and low frame rate combination. The bike then exploded and now it is lost. Strage thing is, the bike information like gas a health is still stuck on the screen. After the mini bike blew up, the FPS are back to normal now. Never mind they are still under 10fps. Anyone experience this? Edited July 14, 2023 by Rabbitslovecactus (see edit history)

Pretty sure that isn't the cause though since others are having the same issue. I did start a new game and so far it's been ok. Keep in mind that I don't have a mini bike though... willcheat
I've seen this happen to my wife. Did you have a drone out while driving by any chance? lyghtkruz
This happens because of the drone. It's one of the confirmed bugs in A21. I submitted a support request to see if there was a workaround to summon the drone or to bring it back, but they didn't really help, other than to provide the same commands I used. After deleting the drones file, I tried to put a drone that I bought from one of the traders down and it went INTO the ground. It came back up after a bit, but drones seem to be pretty broken right now. I tried to use the 'kill' command to kill the drone that was in a bad position and it said it dealt like 9999 damage to the drone or something, but it didn't *remove* the entity from the game, which is what is needed to fix the problem. For now, the only fix we could find is to delete the drone files from the save directory and not use drones. How to delete the files: Windows Key + R - brings up the run command. Type: %AppData%\7DaysToDie\Saves That should bring up explorer to your save game directory. Now double click the world/map name, in my case it's Navezgane, then double click the saved game name. You should see drones.dat and drones.dat.bak along with players, power, vehicles, and a lot of other files. Do not touch those. Only delete the drone files.

There really shouldn't be any need to do this. You can use the "jd clear" command if your drone is at position NaN,NaN,Nan. It will remove it from your ownership, though it will still be in the game. It being in the game shouldn't hurt anything. I've done it myself when I had the same bug. Removing ownership lets you spawn a new drone.

FastBike
When you hit a certain radius on the map, what happens is what was described by other participants in the topic. In this case, you can leave the radius on the map and the problem will disappear. I really had problems with the drone, it got stuck in a texture. When I logged into the game today, I did not find a drone. Unfortunately, I can't attach the logs, but there are many lines like: 2023-08-02T09:51:34 242.163 INF 10207+2 Origin Reposition (1024.0, 0.0, 0.0) to (1040.0, 0.0, 0.0) 2023-08-02T09:51:34 242.164 WRN 10207+2 Origin player ray fail (40.0, 61.1, 1089.0) If it helps, I uploaded the logs to google drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10ZcD3a5UutpvBjsdc3eZ9_CoZAOWjdY1/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yBJGF8u-Hey9M9ER3waQcwYeQZdy20Ut/view?usp=drive_link
KuroiRyuuga
Just had this happen. Lost a 4x4, and "jd clear" did not work. Tried a suggested method of deleting "drones.dat" & "drones.dat.bak" from my world save file, and that seems to have worked. I guess I will be parking my drone outside my base from now on. When this happened to me, I just kept driving and the rubberbanding eventually stopped. When I reloaded the game, I didn't get that error anymore. Finally, it blew up. I thought at first that the 4x4 was causing the glitch, but when it didn't fix after the truck was gone, I looked it up and found that it was the drone that caused it.
