  1. I put in about 40hrs with some friends and then I got bored. The games progression plateaus pretty quickly and it gets repetitive gameplay wise. Very fun parkour and combat, but the constantly replacing of weapons due to breakage is pretty annoying.

  2. I challenge anyone to make a bow from GRASS and some sticks IRL and get anything resembling a tight spread on shots.

    Expectations vs reality.

Something that shoddy is literally breaking down little by little with every shot.

  3. Every bow in this game will have different flight mechanics based on projectile speed. that will completely alter the drop/flight path from bow to bow. Once you get a crossbow, headshots become incredibly easy because of the lack of drop until you get 10-20m or more out depending on your quality.

And yes, your bow skill 100% affects your aiming. Maybe try reading the description of the skills and notice the reticule size change with skill level/movement/bow quality.

Your frustration is making you blind to what we are saying.

  4. I am in the universe of a guy that had 1000 hrs in game since A6. like Meganoth said, as you get better bows/crossbows headshots get much easier. As you level you bow skill your aim speed and your hit radius gets much better.

The difference between how easy to aim a primitive bow and get a head shot vs. a nice crossbow is night and day.

Low level bows absolutely suck in this game  and they should. You need a place to go equip effective wise when you get better gear . That is my assumption about low level bows. They would be way overpowered otherwise.

  5. I definitely miss shots at close range, but at night in the wasteland, I level up by sniping with my bow/crossbow while sneaking. I can 1 shot most non feral/radiated enemies with a headshot once my sneak powers are leveled and my critical hit maxed.

  6. Ya I am so ready to play and I literally have every survival game on steam with a 80% or higher rating and 7D2D is pretty much the only genre of possibilities I keep coming back to. The only other game I really love to a similar degree is Rust, but there is no real SP.

Recently made a solo server and WOW is it weird running around with no one.

  7. I think the best balance would be raw meat be the only "Smell" detected.

Zombies aren't going to want your cornbread or hard boiled eggs. Gives you a reason to cook it quickly since we dont have food spoilage

Feral sense is pretty fun IMHO, it makes the zeds much more of a problem.  I do wish it worked better with the stealth perks though.  It basically removes that aspect.

this is why raw meat attracting makes sense. If you manage your inventory it still allows a stealth build while giving you a taste of feral sense.

  8. I have played with groups of 6 and not once has anyone complained about loot amount. We usually dont go through the same POI, so its not an issue, unless we all join the same quest, and even then we all get our own loot at quest completion.

If you aren't a fan of moving through a city to get to the fresh POI, I can see this being an issue, but honestly as it is, SP with 100% loot feels way to easy to me.

  9. I would like something akin to Rust weather impact. Icarus takes it too far and wind damages your base until its stone.

With that said, I would like to see lightning damage, not necessarily burning things, but should explode blocks in a 2 block radius of target or something. Could have a brief molotov fire effect, but not burn the whole world down.

  10. Here is an 8k map I just made using Teragon. The idea is to make it to the big city with the same goal in mind as the original post.

The red X in the bottom left is the Spawn point. The big cross over the white portion are two bridges.

If anyone is interested I can put this in a dropbox

  11. I like this idea. One of my fav starts was spawning into the wasteland and it was nearly 2k back to a forest to "semi" safety. It was by far the most intense first 30min of gameplay I have had playing 7d2d. I always play dead is dead, so respawns aren't optional.

  12. I have my steam folder on an SSD, but my OS is on an HDD.

I figured I had my game files optimized for transfer speed until I realized my game worlds are located in my user files on my C drive which is an HDD

Long story short, with my steam folders (7d2d main files) on an SSD, and my game world files on an HDD, I really am not optimized am I?

Reason being I am pulling world data from an HDD, instead of an SSD like I had intended.

    Am I getting that correctly?
