    Burried supply quests are interesting. Every time you dig enough blocks for the circle to shrink, the game spawns a half dozen zombies. I wonder if it was a quest adjustment or if it’s a function of feral sense? In either case, buried supplies are more challenging and good xp….I love it!!

    At least the forged iron and gun powder were this way in A19 too, not sure about nails.

    The server is not seeing your serverconfig.xml or there is an error in it. I rent a server and I had to create a folder named Config and put my serverconfig file in there.

    Yes you can change your difficulty on the same map any time you want to.

    I’m not familiar with Macs but people with Macs are able to run the game using Rosetta. Search further down General Support for more info in other threads on how to do it if you don’t know how.

    Try and download the newest version of Microsoft Visual C Distributable and see if that fixes it. This has helped a few people with similar errors.

    Also, after generating a new map, some have noticed that the ram isn’t being released. You might try a reboot and see if that helps.

    In the Bug Report section, it was mentioned that the workaround for Mac users is to run 7 Days under Rosetta. TFP still looking for a permanent solution.

    For OP, the error 2021-12-06T15:17:48 0.310 ERR Error while initializing platform code, shutting down. is your problem, though not sure why you are getting that error. For andydahl, I moved my config file into the Config folder that I had to create. You also need to create a Saves folder if the install didn't make one and put your serveradmin.xml in there.

    I get those same errors in my server log but it looks like my server is running fine. Renting from Bluefang, deleted all files then installed fresh A20.

    This still smells like a Windows issue. It definitely is not a 7 Days problem. The fact that you did need to repair corrupted system files, I still think you have corrupted files even though the scan isn’t finding anything now. I guess it could be a bad sector on your hard drive but I doubt it. As a last resort, I’d suggest either reinstalling or repairing Windows. A clean install is best but you could also reinstall while keeping all your files. I think you’ve tried just about everything else.

    That’s interesting, no errors at all. Makes me wonder if it’s not a 7 Days issue causing the crash??? Have you done some of the basic things like excluding Steam from your antivirus software, making sure your graphics drivers, chipset drivers, audio drivers are up to date as well as Windows? In my old rig, I ran the game just fine with a gtx 980m so I don’t think it’s your videocard. Hopefully someone else can give you additional ideas.

    In order to find crucibles at the trader, you need Better Barter 3 or above. Depending on rng, sometimes it’s easier to find them in loot than at the trader. If they occur before BB 3, it’s a very low chance.

    When you go to chop those trees, they only have 1 hp so fall on the first swing and nothing shows up in your inventory.

    There was a bug when a tree and birds nest spawned on the same spot and it appeared like you were searching a tree and got feathers/eggs but I thought it had been fixed. Haven’t seen this one in vanilla.

    It’s funny, I just went on a new server yesterday and while the trader was open, Trader Jen I think it was, had dropped through the floor of the trailer so all you could see was her head. Once I had Trader Joel fall through the second floor trader onto the ground and landed in front of the workbench and you had to interact with him there. There’s still some weird trader issues. Vanilla server, no mods.

    If the log files don’t provide an answer, remove all mods and make sure that the vanilla server works. If it does work fine, add in one mod at a time until the error pops back up again. Tedious…..yes but you will definitely find the culprit.

    I’ve run into that one rarely on vanilla. It’s so uncommon and not reproducible that I’ve never submitted a bug report. Probably happened 3 times in A19. Usually opens again in a few game days but one time it never opened again. Wish I could be more help.
