  1. You have to do something to spawn the zombie. On one I had to open the garage door. Open doors, press buttons...Do things
  2. This is intended. I once got affected and it got into the 90s, 92 I think, before I finally looted an antibiotic from a chemistry station. I tore up every stump I came across and looted every drug store I could find. I've played other games with the very first stump I chopped up gave me honey and by the time I was doing traider quests I had a couple of bottles. Very frequently the starter trader has an antibiotic for sale right off the bat and it is the first thing I buy. Part of my routine every morning before I visit the trader is looking for stumps to chop. This is a random feature of the game
  3. In the past I just sold it. Are we going to need it to maket the really good stuff later on?
  4. I've planted corn blueberries pumpkin coffee and potato. As long as I'm careful to plant them all at the same time, I can harvest them all at the same time. So those mature at the same rate. I'll have to pay more attention to the time. I just check to see if they're ready and then harvest them if they are. Never paid much attention to how long. You've got me curious.
  5. I made my quality five pistol but I had to get a crossbow from a trader quest. The way things are progressing I'll probably be able to make crossbows sometime next week assuming we don't get a new build in which case I will start all over from scratch.
  6. I craft all the time. I'm about to make my second set of padded armor, made a scope for my crossbow, just made a mini bike handlebars and then a mini bike, headlight for the mini bike. As has been said the traider doesn't always have what you need but if you can make it you're okay.
  7. Go see Rekt whatever you're tired of people being nice to you
  8. No. It explodes if I light a match or accidentally generate a spark. Too dangerous
  9. Much like forged steel, you don't need to buy it if you want to put the time in to harvest it. Gas is the same way.
  10. When I did that in the past I saw the same thing twice. That was not a 21 though
  11. Perhaps this is related to game stage. I just started level 3 missions, haven't done one yet. The trader I got sent to had a baseball bat for sale that I bought. Don't recall anything else. I don't recall seeing many weapons for sale from any of the traders I've been visiting and I've got about four of them now. Perhaps they did but it wasn't something I wanted.
  12. So far all of my traders have been fairly close to my spawn point.
  13. In the first 3 days I managed to loot everything I needed to build a bicycle except for the wheels. I loooted and read four of them by the time I was able to select it as the trader quest series. The next day, of course, I looted the fifth book and unlocked wheels.
  14. If you haven't started a new game with this new build, do so. Traders will have a pot that you can buy. Do the trader quests and use the money you get to buy food. There should be a vending machine with food and another with drink. You'll have to rely on that starting out. Pick what you need the most. They generally have three water for sale and some cans of sham or chili or whatever. I haven't starved on the first two days but it's always on the edge and I'm broke.
  15. Then come here to the forum and explain what your problem is and what you did to fix it. If you play with no traders, you need a water filter. So give yourself some and perhaps a pot. If you play with no traders and no cities, you're still going to be able to loot magazines but your progression is going to be slow. if it's too slow come up with some sort of scheme that allows you to advance fast enough but doesn't break the fun. If it is too dark that you can't see to play the game you want to. Give yourself a helmet light or night goggles. But come back here and explain what the problem is. The game doesn't get better if people quit playing it, it gets better when people play it and then report back on what the problems are.
  16. I don't understand your problem at night. I do things at night. I have to be careful and usually only partially loot at poi. The parts that I can see. Perhaps you need to turn up the gamma on your game or monitor?
  17. I see nothing wrong with using creative mode to load a few dew collectors to get you back into the game play you like Be careful not to over do it so you loose the biting edge
  18. Looks like the water problem is practically solved if you can just buy a pot from the trader. I do like this better because if you just have some bad luck and can't find a water pot you're screwed. I'm sure somebody will mod that out. Lol
  19. If you press M and bring up the map, do you see the trader? Traders are automatically entered on your map now when you interact with them in their compound. But they're not showing up on the compass like they do whin I manually added them to the map in A20. I need to do this to see if the show up on the compass
  20. You need to adjust your gameplay to work around the water situation. The first day looted two bottled waters and did one trader quest. Bought two yellow tea, forget what it's called. I managed to loot enough food so I didn't go hungry by beaking in the back doors of residences and looted kitchens until it got dark. The next day I was able to make a forge and looted a cooking pot so I was over the hump as far as water goes for that day. The next day, I'm low on water and need to break into more kitchens
