  1. Some Shaders seemed to have changed in one of the A20 builds, so perhaps the assets need to be repackaged to use the new shaders.  Not sure if I will have time to look into this before A21 make that fix need refixing, but I will see what I can do.

    Did you try to change the channel by pressing the E key?  If that doesn't work, the mod likely didn't load properly.  If you link your log file, we can help.

  3. Each new alpha seems to change how the game handles particular shaders, which control things like brightness.  A21 will bring even greater changes, so its unlikely I will be able to do much with this until A21 drops.

    I'm not familiar with SteamOS, but if you post a link to your log file, we will try to help.  A list of log locations can be found in earlier posts in this thread.

    Remove Harley from entitygroups.xml to prevent her from spawning.

    I have the latest version of SCore, XNPCCore and some NPCMod installed, but when I want to hire someone, I can't interact with the E key and it attacks me, when I find a survivor, it immediately attacks me.
    Do I have to enable or disable something to prevent this from happening?

    This isnt default behavior.  Likely some other mod is colliding with the NPCCore.

  6. Please post a link to your log, and that should show where the error happens.  Make sure you have the latest version of SCore (Version 20.6.297.1109) , as its unlikely anything in the NPCCore would lock up Linux.

    This issue will likely remain until TFP introduces Bandits in A21.  Hopefully the new bandit class will have new code to prevent these disappearances.   Until then, there is little we can do to fix this.

    These mods are intended to be used in packs and other mods, so have at it and enjoy.

  9. New features in the A20 version are unlikely.  The team is mostly on break from developing the core, as A21 NPC will have new code that we can rebaseline around.  Hopefully this will allow us to focus on enhanced functionality beyond the vanilla bandits, perhaps we can expand the abilities of "friendly" NPCs as Bandits will likely be better than the current NPC bandits in the core.

    Stealth isnt working as well as we would like, but some modders swap in zombie EAI for bandits and others use the UAI built into this mod for bandits.  If your using this mod, then breaking LOS will stop them firing.  Stealth alone wont make you invisible.  You can make the bandits less accurate with minor XML edits

    We had to make lots of compromises for the A20 NPCs.  Balancing sight vs sound detection is tricky.  Likely you were heard and the NPC failed to rotate to you before firing.  Hopefully with A21 bandit code we will be able to do more.

  12. Updated the XNPCCore to 20.6.  Removed compatibility patch.  Fixed bandits snow biome bonus, which was adding damage rather than reducing damage.  Thanks again to Arramus for the compatibility xml, and to bdubyah for finding the snow biome bug.   Way to go community partners!

    I had a hired NPC standing outside of a POI and apparently she got killed because she wasn't there when I came back out .

     

    Likely she ran off, or somehow despawned.

    Remove all mods except for The NPCCore and SCore mods then retest.  Still having problems?  Link your logfile, and we can help you sort it.

  15. Pushed a patch for A20.6 compatibility.   If you are going to run on A20.6, in addition to 0-XNPCCore, please load the modlet 0-XNPCCore-A20.6(b08).  That modlet is a small xml compatibility patch written by Arramus that will fix the bug introduced with the xml changed in A20.6
