  1. Depends if we have time and if the mechanic doesn't feel forced.
  2. As long as there are no micro transactions.... 😁
  3. I started a new large POI concept recently that will be a T4 bare minimum. Its a pretty large 100x100 POI so its most likely going to be a side project I work on between other higher priority POI tasks. Hopefully it gets done for A21 as it will have a lot of fun concepts we have been talking about for a long time now... 😁
  4. Can't say I have seen any better than the current HD redone zombies but the following might have something that may interest you.
  5. Modders have been adding their own models for a while now, I don't believe that will go away. (Not referring to UMA created models) As far as unpaid creators submitting their work to be cleaned up / modified to be added to the game. It would likely take more work then creating their own so I doubt something like that would happen unless it was some type of post gold launch community event. (Same goes for POIs).
  6. Streamers are good feedback but they don't represent all players. Alot of the time they are multi tasking so many things (video, chat, voice chat, etc.) they often miss a ton of things.
  7. I could be off here but, it's probably because alot of modders tend to add more content to the game than refining / replacing / removing things. Therefore, many people see this as "Modders" know best what players want... Take Guppy's fire mod as an example. No doubt, a very cool addition to the game. However, as a mod, Guppy doesn't really have to deal with its balance with the rest of the game nor its performance impact on a wide range of systems. Many players will praise mod creators for ideas like this and then shake their heads at the developers for not implementing it.
  8. That is the tier 2 dew collector. Here it is...
  9. If snowballs ever get removed it's no big loss since we can throw rocks at our friends lol... Although, I would fully support poop being re added to the game to fling at our friends. Maybe give it the sticky property like c4....😅 Hopefully people won't expect to turn poop into murky water > boiled water, etc. for realism sake...😅
  10. Technically all POIs can be converted to horde bases. Level design will occasionally build some elements into a POI that make them more appealing as bases (e.g. convenient entry ways, elevated firing positions, etc.). Non-questable / remnant POIs are a good example of this. However, we never build POIs for x number of workstations / farm plots / storage containers. A big part of what makes 7 days to die great is that it's a fully destructible / buildable world. Maybe if the game was not fully buildable / destructible, I could see where limited space is an issue but not in this games case. Just look up bases on YouTube and you will see players have no problem coming up with creative solutions to house / support all of their base needs.
  11. Exactly! I am sure you enjoyed creating the efficient base design you are currently using. I am confident you will find a way to make them fit. Consider it a new survival challenge. Considering they are automatic resource generating workstations that require no external input once placed down, they surely are worth their value in voxel space.
  12. You still have your A20 lens on. If you can't imagine what it will be like in A21 even after both Rolland and Schwanz outlined all of the details for you, I don't think any more words will change your mind. Your just going to have to try it for yourself once experimental is out. Also, from a level design perspective, we don't build POIs to contain just enough space for x number of workstations, chest, and / or farm plots. The game is fully destructible and allows players to use their creativity to modify POIs however they see fit. Players have been spending hundreds of hours having fun retrofitting POIs to match their needs. Those same players will continue to have fun figuring out where to put their new dew collectors as well.
  13. No Trader playstyles will still work. They will just have a more challenging time since there only source for the water filter is a rare drop. However, I don't see a problem with this. Most people I know (including myself) who like to do no trader playthroughs, do it for a more challenging / survival focused experienced. (E.g No quest rewards, no POI resetting, etc.)
  14. For me, the problem with realism and games is you have to draw the line somewhere before it just stops being fun (subjective) I can be completely off here but I feel 7 days to die is somewhere in the middle as far as realism is concerned. It's not a hardcore realism simulation like project zomboid and it's not a slapstick cartoony arcade game like Orcs Must Die. (Although twitch integration 😅)
  15. With the removal of glass jars, a new default armor has been created for the player character to explain where they all went...😅
  16. Maybe, but how long does that really stretch the water survival challenge? Pop a vitamin then spam drink all the murks you want. Change vitamins you say? Making pots super rare is a tough sell for MP servers. Not saying your suggestions are not doable but they are not necessarily more fun then progressing towards having a dew collector farm. Why not have both? Well having both would diminish the collector to a fluff / convenience option since you wouldn't need it at all.
  17. Have you never removed something in DF and replaced it with something you decided works better? Or do you just keep adding stuff ad nausem regardless on how bloated / complicated it gets?
  18. That doesn't sound logical at all lol... There isn't 1 million Yucca plants making up the terrain of the desert biome...😁
  19. Video games have been dealing with the "Glass Vial / Jar" issue for years now... The internet already has a perfectly good explanation already... 😅 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjXOwUnJzA0
  20. So delicious...you'll yell "Yucca!" 😅
  21. Don't shoot me, but it is probably easier at this point to remove snow harvesting all together and just yield dirt back to the player... *runs and hides*
  22. Believe it or not, lighting is a very important part of level design. Although the world is fully destructible and players can bulldoze their way in however they like, there is an optimal path to take for questing and to ensure a high quality experience...😎
