  1. the only things we've done with zombies is increased their view distance so you don't stand 3 blocks next to a wandering horde waving your arms trying to get them to see you so you can take them on. we've done nothing to sleepers and stealth itself. the sleepers that appear in buildings are how they were set up from whoever made the poi's.. and in most cases have 10x the potential spawns than what actually does spawn. does this make looting a little more dangerous? sure, welcome to ravenhearst where the zombies actually see you. crouch before you trigger the sleeper volumes, sometimes it helps. if you're in sunlight it doesn't do much good... what are you hiding in if you're in full view? in a16 vanilla or modded (even in ravenhearst) night time is still a huge detriment to zombie sight. very easy currently to side step zombies in the dark and lose them as long as you're not shining a light on their faces. i doubt it will stay this way in a17 once they get all the senses working again. just because it's interesting, these are taken from one of madmole's preview videos, this is what sleeper volumes look like in placement, you don't get all of them, it's random. lay them on thicker if there's an area you want to make sure has a few opportunities for zombies to be in. so yes they have all kinds of positions, and they aren't aimed specifically at one entrance or another. a good sleeper volume will ensure that someone one sneaking in through a back window or side entrance isn't a cake walk.
  2. it's just the temperatures. but the game calls it weather. if you toggled it manually in the console, it would be <weathersurvival on/off> for instance

  5. exactly 2 posts above yours.
  6. yes, the herds are in all biomes, mid-range zombies between normal and terrors.
  7. do you mean you have the QUEST for the m25? you loot the m25.
  8. the repair area is really really low at the bottom
  9. could be on git's end, not sure if the launcher itself gets slow, usually only takes me about 3 mins :/ anything more techhy would need sphere to hop in. here's direct download if you want to try this, it says 3.0 but the innards are up to date. can't change the main file name or hosting providers get uppity. https://github.com/Ravenhearst30/BF21DayNormal/archive/master.zip
  10. if you're able to get an output_log for us that would be helpful, there's more info that you get in a console screenshot (usually) logs can be found player side wherever they keep their mod folder inside the 7daystodie_data folder. likewise the server output_log is in a similar location on the server if someone has access to retrieve, i think in the 7daystodieserver_data folder (or similar) you can paste the log into pastebin.com and reply with links here. thanks! - - - Updated - - - nice looking base ^^
  11. you might want to head directly into the sphere's launcher thread and inquire there https://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?48537-The-7D2D-Mod-Launcher-A-Mod-Launcher-for-7-Days-to-Die
  12. ---- edit: sorry when i replied originally, those pictures didn't load for me, so i know it wasn't that big hospital now!) --- was this the big giant hospital? if so that was removed for version 3.1 (needed a full wipe from 3.0) if not that, sounds like a terrible world gen glitch but really not sure. also happy you didn't lose anything, do you back up your save game files? located somewhere like C:\Users\name\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie you would create an empty folder somewhere else, then copy that 7DaysToDie folder into it. that way if your world borks (modded, vanilla, whatever) you can pull it fresh from there.
  13. look at the image and note the part about windows 7 users, on the launcher itself click where that link is shown this is assuming you're running windows 7! - - - Updated - - - crucible is player crafted once you learn steel smithing, not sure if he'd add the other.
  14. hey, try following the instructions in this photo and see if you're missing a step https://i.imgur.com/XBjSyEO.jpg
  15. just fyi, if you have "refresh mods automatically" checked, it does the same thing as hitting the "presynch" button, and will take longer as you're doing it twice. if that's not the issue, dunno :/
  16. once you kill the cow, harvest with the milk bucket. if you're adventurous you can run down the cow with the bucket. - - - Updated - - - wanted to re-post our discord link for those that use discord, extremely active and friendly community! https://discord.gg/YBHD9f3
  17. the view distance is limited for good reason, it would likely destroy gameplay, especially on a server. tbh i'm not sure the game itself could even handle it, or would look shoddy your view distance isn't just sight, it's the number of chunks loaded around the player, per player
  18. i'm the janky type who moves 1 set of calipers around the entire room. i also don't have a crowbar. finding on our map lots of the smaller stores, both sizes of books, guns and tools.
  19. but.. but... my spacing! ty ^^
  20. i can't read the red in that screen shot, maybe you're having trouble installing? try this (incoming face full of image) direct link if anyone wants to pass it around https://i.imgur.com/PkRexqB.jpg
  21. opening map on the mini bike was new with 3.0, believe it was in the release notes, or in the about page on the discord re burning stations: seems to be on MP if you don't burn something in them before leaving the area or logging out, the ever-burn happens. can try picking it up and placing it back down, and then smelting something again to fix it.
  22. re: food, also don't throw out the salt you loot. jerky made in the drying rack is a clear minor upgrade from charred meat. butcher's knife is definitely lootable. the farmer will get a hoe as a quest reward, along with a small amount of follow up seed packs. hoes and sickles anyone can use on crops (planted or wild) for a chance at seeds as well as the harvest. always make sure you have a few bag slots when finishing a quest, otherwise items are lost.
  23. most of the terrors are (almost) solely in the wastelands and burnt biomes now, in the regular zones you'll see the "herd" zombies, kind of an in between.
  24. i think i remember roland saying in another thread that he can magic a post or two at the top if someone needed, i personally like seeing personality in a description ^_~
