  1. you gain the ammo class perk when you take ANY of the gun classes. if you went bows or something else, have to survive off of what ammo/boxes you scavenge or buy until you take a gun class.
  2. you cannot run eac on mods like this. if you are running the server for friends, put a good pw on it. - - - Updated - - - when you're at the trader, it tells you days until refresh on the top of his screen. that said, they do not turn over entire inventories, including stuff you've sold them. i just bought my chisel from a trader, also secret stash 2. - - - Updated - - - you scrap books you don't need for knowledge points, learn the research desk, combine the required points with ink in the desk and pick the class to craft. - - - Updated - - - mining in the wastelands.

  4. yes, that's how it is in vanilla, too. smelt small stone into forge make cement from forge concrete mixer cement, small stones and sand it takes the small stones from your inventory (the stuff you get when you mine). if making stone (place-able block) takes same material as mix. if concrete mix, once in your inventory you can craft wet cement blocks, or if you have rebar repair the rebar with concrete mix in your inventory

  6. ammo class is not a craftable class, which you would see in the actual research desk. it's automatically given to anyone who chooses a firearm class, unlocking the perk to be able to craft ammo. just the way it had to be done i guess.
  7. if you can make a pastebin.com link of your output log (7daystodie_data folder) that would help them see if they can help you. that stinks might want to try to save back ups of your game when you're done playing each day
  8. will reply to a few things! i hope you find the memory program helpful, also lower UMA textures, really doesn't effect anything visually, yet many find this helps. the terrain is based off of some awesomeness by Tin on these forums, possibly further tinkered by Jax. you'll notice we have a lot more towns and cities, and connecting roads in this mod, that is the main reason. and we have a lot of builders. this mod was created initially, ever evolving, for jax's server, for things his people wanted. yes! he's managed to accidentally create a bit of a trading card game, it's fun seeing people excited when they get a poster they want our map never sleeps.. maybe an hour or two a day. 4 in game days happens at least several times a real life day, it would be too much, or the same two people on in the dead of night would get all of them. that aside, it's still editable by game/server i believe. i like this idea, but will jax? haha. he lowered the chance of mines in the wasteland greatly at least.. but don't thank him they might get raised again i believe there is a fix incoming for bows, some code gremlins got in and had some fun. night TERRORS. you're not supposed to kill them easy early on. they're supposed to make you wary of night again. blame sphere for that, he's been going for his dr. evil degree also. campfire is intended to be limiting, and be replaced quickly. cooking skill reduces your crafting time with foods, you cook, you get better at cooking. getting better with cooking allows you to discover new recipes (adv cooking) none of this is required, it's player choice. there's also cookbooks in the world that unlock other recipes. keep in mind no single player is expected to learn every skill possible, and some seek to do just that. not very familiar with how spider does things, but there are a few un-vanilla things that can happen to you in this mod that you need to handle before they get worse. been nice having you around! as an end note i think the main purpose of this mod is not necessarily to make it SO DIFFICULT so as to sap the fun out of it, as to lengthen the span of early game, (ie not face rolling steel mega bases at lvl 40 and then complaining you never had a horde that even had dogs in it before quitting) and bring back zombies and the need to actually go out and explore and loot. ravenhearst was never self promoted as difficult, (though it can be!) but a conglomeration and expansion of things our server community has come to love and hate as orchestrated by jax.

  10. i don't believe the chainsaw is listed in that category, you can see what skills it uses when you select it and read the text.
  11. utilize your favorites menu to lessen the loaded recipes. it is a VANILLA bug that is worse in mods, especially recipe heavy mods. this will hopefully be much better in A17 where they have applied a fix for it. - - - Updated - - - @people experiencing lag on advanced servers, what are people doing for electricity? solar banks are terrible for server lag.
  12. i'm not sure, i and others do not have this problem :/ - - - Updated - - - try killing reflections too. even in vanilla i turn off shadows and reflections, world of difference. those skyscrapers are a killer regardless.
  13. yes, it's a thing with vanilla, the traps. same for the gun turrets for certain.
  14. usually 60+ fps, sometimes dips to 40ish, usually around skyscrapers... or if i'm doing something dumb. my computer is nothing near beastly hit the favorites when in workstations. not really sure i can put this here, if not sorry, i'll take it out or nix it- but it was suggested to me to try cleanmem (google) to help clean up the memory leaks in firefox and 7days. previously my ff would climb up 2-3g, it now rarely goes above 1g 7d2d at times would clog up to 13g, now hardly goes over 1.5 13g on a 16g system, usually means death in the wilderness
  15. are you treating your bites and messy debuffs? if left untreated you will go to infection. maybe try fighting more ranged?
  16. your game could crash from 3 million reasons, they would need more info, including the output logs. @inventory, you need to use your favorites more, hopefully a17 reduces this greatly if not eliminates it.
  17. this is a vanilla issue, it's just how the gore blocks work. if you feel you are loosing too much loot, move around more and kite them so they don't pile up when they die.
  18. there's a reason they're called night terrors yes tougher, higher hp, sometimes better rewards.

  21. would it be possible just to keep our server files under dona as it's been for all of time, and move all the other ravenhearst to "ravenhearst"? it might create that scroll bar sphereii has been dreaming of.

  23. it's been nice having you around, i hope you don't go total stranger ^_^ being on 21 day hordes so we don't have 2-3 hordes a day is largely a boon all around, especially with so many people advancing the days, 2-3 hordes a day can be really taxing.. that said you're still low level, assumedly kinda low gamestage also, the hordes do get quite rough especially if you're sans electricity. about /base... at least there aren't 10 waypoints you can use also.
