  1. heeey happy belated birthday to ravenhearst (as the world knows it)!
  2. you absolutely can. i'm going to post the notes from our discord on casual mode, some of it is out of date, for instance encumbrance was removed from all modes later on for the time being. largely the main things affected ARE zombie health and spawning, second class (support, so take an offensive class to start) awarded at the end of the survival quests, and a small nerf to knowledge points needed to progress through classes. so it really might be what you're looking for. --- -Cars do not respawn any more (Removed for Realism in Casual Mode) -Plants take 5 in game hours now -Animal Traps, Chicken Coops, Composter, Bee Hives and Rain Collectors take 2 in game hours -Slight reduction in amount of XP needed to level (17,000 down to 14,000) -Second Support class selection awarded at the end of the Opening questline -Zombie HP Lowered -Prisoner and Herd Health Lowered -Terror Health Lowered -Backpack now Stays 2400 -Remains now stay 600 -Dropped Loot now Stays 900 -Reduced KP Cost on Items -Skill Points Awarded when Levelling Raised to 7 -300 Level axe, pickaxe and bow along with 150 arrows awarded as you quest in Basic Survival -Break removed from the Quest reward tools and weapons so you will not lose them anymore -Encumbrance removed -Fuller RWG with more towns and cities -Gamestage Increases slowed down a bit -Reduced Zombie Spawning -Animals will respawn every 5 days instead of 7
  3. i've seen that too, no idea what causes it when they generate that way. sometimes they're fine, sometimes, they goof off. a few of the really rectangular ones we edited to be a large square instead and nipped it... just not worth it to do all of them when they're usually fine. some of these poi's have been updated through many alphas now (by authors and magoli), they're bound to start acting a lil funny i guess
  4. you can use the blender/micro/coffee maker individually and break them and pick them up again. actually prefer this to deco my kitchens - - - Updated - - - forget who was looking for the sewing kit, but nightstands and lockers have the best loot chances
  5. in vanilla, it works as vanilla intended. in ravenhearst, it works as the author intended. this isn't a mod for quick loot and fast results.
  6. was it on your hotbar? the trader doesn't like that. ran across that for the first time recently.
  7. maka just told me on first release the files were swapped, but it was corrected pretty quickly. sounds like you might want to get a fresh set of files because there also some fixes at some point that i don't even recall what they are.
  8. nope, you are incorrect. i can say that with 100% accuracy. Denser Cities - Mixer made by Makabriel that adds a large amount of towns and cities in close proximity of each other. People with lighter systems take caution when using this version as it is resource heavy. Lesser Cities - A more rural scavenger type Mixer made by Makabriel. Good for those who want harder play and less towns and cities with the focus on Nomad and travel. Default Mixer - Our normal RH default mixer in case you need to switch back
  9. you now have to read a handful of knowledge points, to raise your "research skill" and that will unlock the recipe automatically.
  10. you want casual if you want it easier. - - - Updated - - - book loot has been very hard to fine tune, sometimes the slightest up or down in values has a much more drastic effect than you want it to. with a17 on the horizon (for weeks) we lightened up on the loot a little bit to give people more of a chance to have satisfaction. we never expected v4.3 to be out more than maybe.... 2 weeks before a17 dropped if you're in one area too long, it dries up. explore more or leave and come back. animals and npcs all have settings per days for respawn. just like loot it requires the player leaving the area. all that said, we provided access to 3 different styles of rwg with 4.3, as well as 3 seperate difficulty downloads. casual normal (default) hell on earth all available on the launcher. the 3 different rwg are just city population pretty much. sparse normal (default) dense so combining those with the vanilla game options on the selection screen (loot % should mention, not just respawn), offers a pretty solid path for finding the game difficulty you crave. --- discord! lots of people. lots of help. lots of rambling. too many channels, guaranteed!
  11. you most definitely get mech parts from carts, office chairs, air conditioners, they are my primary wrench targets early on.
  12. i think vanilla drops a lot of seeds. we've had ours trimmed down for a good while now. /hides her seeds
  13. you could always start a fresh "test" game and add it and see if it breaks.
  14. the mod isn't for everyone, we've always stated that zombies are nowhere near the bullet sponges they had been on v3 though, especially with the wilderness hives dying in 1-3 hits with starting weapons on warrior. fills up the world without every zombie being tanky. avoiding what you can early on is usually best. there will indeed be a "casual mode" included in 4.3, as well as a "hell on earth" version. people will just have to run them off of the .exe in the mod folder after installed, and not the launcher. --- invitation for anyone not with us yet to join us on discord, nearly always someone available to help or chat
  15. there's a big difference between disappearing/missing traders and "broken over-run trader pois" spawning.
  16. traders disappear frequently in vanilla with trader protection on. here's just a sample google has to offer.
  17. unfortunately not everyone is enlightened in the power of the pickle!
  18. some things are left to player exploration, as you'd expect in a game like this. just like the workbench quest does not describe that you must reach x level of construction tools. people need to use their heads for things that are easily discernible. like you did
  19. yeah and the bow line is a little janked up in rhythm because the starting weapon used to be the xbow. got changed and didn't get the tweaks it should have.
  20. starting at line 1682 - 2018-08-10T21:31:17 240.079 ERR ERROR: System.OutOfMemoryException: Out of memory but.. i don't understand a lick of it after... maybe someone more computery could take a peek :/
  21. to stay up to date, beg for help, and post spooky memes- please stumble over to our discord! https://discord.gg/YBHD9f3
  22. not seeing anything wrong in your log this time. what kind of settings do you run on? the base game has issues of its own, memory wise, and ravenhearst is pretty beastly. if maxed, i'd try lowering a few things. uma textures, shadows, reflections, etc. just to see. possibly view distance also. vanilla defaults view distance on 7 (which yeh, is meh), but it can be impactful. i like to run on 12, but lower it to 10 on heavy mods and server play. edit- your log actually cuts off right after you logging in the game.... so if an error is crashing you, we're not seeing it.
  23. i'm seeing this in your log? are you using an older seed name? or anysuch? follow this image, if you don't want to do a fresh vanilla install, instead choose the option to download from steam https://i.imgur.com/XBjSyEO.jpg
  24. we do keep archives of all the previous versions of the mod too, in case anyone gets the itch to go back in time https://ravenhearst.enjin.com/archives
