  1. thanks for playing sirKane, ravenhearst is not interested in increased gains tho, there are other mods that provide plenty of that
  2. i get great visuals for dungeons spawning dungeons, cat in the hat esque
  3. lookit this guy- being so helpful, kind, and friendly. /sheds tear
  4. and thank you everyone for the support you've given! - - - Updated - - - @worf3k it's largely tested by solo players
  5. version 4 will absolutely require a wipe. - - - Updated - - - if people are playing a mod that adds longevity in a variety of fashions as if they are trying to power through like it's vanilla, or something not offering longevity, it will feel like a grind. it's not made to be bashed out in a couple of days.
  6. disappearing buildings is a flaw in the vanilla game. when you create your world, distant terrain is calculated for the entire map, but sometimes when an area actually loads for the first time, the rwg fails to actually place said buildings, but the distant meshes remain to tease you. likewise if you demolish a building and build a new one, when you back away, the mesh appears for what had been there.
  7. what vitamin said, @shin. while the fire power loot IS a little more than intended it's supposed to be heavy. non gun classes cannot make ammo at all without drops, starting weapons are pretty crappy in performance along with the player having no skills. it'll be a while in most cases until you find calipers to craft your ammo, and stuff takes a lot of bullets to kill... until you level up and get skills. ravenhearst is by no means created for or balanced around mp, it's tested more so in sp and is supposed to be difficult and extend the game. jax however created it for and with his MP server long before it grew into what it is. people confuse that with being made with mp in mind. server is mostly solo and small co-op, not hordes of players banding together. on food, get in those houses and loot. best chances for twine happen in the mundane dwellings, also. keep that salt and make jerky, food gets easier as it goes.
  8. i think a lot of hal's stuff is just sp as he doesn't play mp. the way some things are written (or how he writes them, i don't code so no clue really) just don't transfer. he also made some amazing weapon display racks that don't work in mp.
  9. wanted to point out that the halicopter will only work in single player, not multiplayer. if used in multiplayer you run the risk of it on the lesser end, just not working, or the worst thing, corrupting your game. we had it enabled by default in v2 for ease of those that wanted to use it, with tags of "will not work in MP" on the items... but yeah people don't read it's REALLY nifty if you're in a position to enjoy it.
  10. Fort Moo is actually a memoriam. was the base of a player on Dex's server who passed away. dex packaged it up quick when we were releasing so his friend could "live on"
  11. lol, could feel that moment!
  12. v2 for ravenhearst we had people figure out a reliable mac install, that isn't so reliable on v3. none of us are mac people so best we've been able to do is offer condolences where needed. here are mac instructions a player gave us then, maybe it'll help?
  13. you don't get a class selection for finishing survival, did one of your friends give you one, or you completed the "station tools" quest (2 parts), that rewards a selection. aside from that, you scrap schematics into knowledge points and combine at the research desk. farmer is more difficult to *start* with, because of the combat challenge, as it's a support class. if you're working together in a group, things will be muuuch easier than if you were solo. - - - Updated - - - along with what saku said, if you place a "static" trader, it should stay. nothing we can do about trader despawns, is a vanilla issue. glad everyone is enjoying! - - - Updated - - - it's been a few pages, so if anyone has a discord and would like to join ours, there are a lot of people around for help and general chatter
  14. so what you mean is, you can see the mead and dandelion pasties on the trestle yon horizon?
  15. this possibly isn't the mod for you, it's designed to slow everything down get some skills going and get out of the beginner phase, and the zombies aren't so bad. - - - Updated - - - CONGRATS
  16. yes, sadly it is normal, the recipes bog down the menu. in a17 none of that kind of lag will exist and everyone will rejoice. when combining, put your bench on an empty tab, or hit the star for favorites to clear the loaded recipe list. adv workbench and deco station are the far worst, which is why we separated into multi stations to begin with. that means it was far worse than it is now you'll notice all work stations open on a now empty left category, that's to at least get you into the station quicker. also helps if you clear your searches when you leave stations, so you come back in to an empty list.
  17. the rotters and herd zombies spawn at night in most biomes. the night terrors (also night spawn) are heaviest in wasteland and burnt biomes. all have a chance for better loot. higher tier weapons are a bit rarer, but still found in the normal places, safes, military containers (inc vehicles). increased chance in rad zone containers.
  18. you are so very correct. - - - Updated - - - that is crazy cool. been looking forward to see how the later hordes REALLY pan out! edit- would love to see parts of your next one if you think of it.
  19. night stands and lockers etc are the best places to find sewing kits.
  20. you have to actually aim the wires at the hatch on it for it to connect edit for image
  21. twine is almost everywhere- trash, cabinets, loot houses!
  22. guessing because he didn't want them mixed in other biomes? and yes you need the pills AND the hazmat suit. by design. first pass on radiation in general, it's supposed to be end game-ish, see how it goes as far as level.
  23. i think those description lines only show up to 5 things, like recipes do
  24. i always guess that the "one big volume" thing is also what causes sleeper ganking for some people? cause they can reload any freaking where after you kill one?
