XML refers to the editable xml files in the config folder in your game. It is where you can make changes to the game settings such as stack sizes, harvest amounts, trader hours, etc. Careful though, once you start tweaking them you can get hooked.

This actually played out in my head lol. TFP playing starfield and noticing something could be a bit better. They jump on a starfield forum and make a post to devs explaining it. Haven't played MP in a while but didn't we have the option to add a code like doors and if someone used the correct code then it was permanently unlocked for them?

Many alphas ago someone made a block which was what you would call one way mirror block? Anyway, when you placed it you could see through it but if you went around to the other side it had the texture of steel I think. Was great, could sit around in your base and watch the zombies just roaming around outside without being detected. Is there anyway that is possible still in A21. From what I remember the block would have all sides textured as air and one side would be textured as steel. If it is possible then having a texture of cement would be nice as a lot of players do go to that point.

I think -1 may mean it is disabled. You will probably have to have a positive number for it to work. For example 2 for it to wait 2 days with no one visiting the chunk for it to reset.

PLUS the longer it is before the Alpha 22 Dev Diary comes out the shorter it will be between it and A22 experimental releasing...fulfilling the mentioning of there being shorter release period between alphas

lol I was using the numbers as an example like you did. Yours were actually higher than mine I was just pointing out that you could add to it instead of replacing. The numbers could be most any number as far as I know but I usually keep mine nearer to the original. I have sometimes added both lower and higher numbers to the menus

You don't have to replace, you can add to them. Example: If 175, 300, 600 you can make it 175, 300, 600, 750, 1000, 1200 That would just add the other to the menu with the original numbers.

I have been using this program for what seems like forever. I am still surprised it still works so well as it does for me. I still like to use it to make little tweaks to my game. I hope it continues to work for me even after game goes gold (unless they add something similar that works better or at least so well)

I think that in our western culture it is a combination of both LBR and LBD. I mean we go to school for years reading and practicing things we have read. In way, way, way back times it was probably more LBD. I would imagine someone learned how to do something by someone who knew how to do it showing them and then they would practice it until they got good at it. Probably why we still are not 100% up on how they built the pyramids. They didn't write down the damned instructions so that means it must have been passed on by someone showing them (I don't mean aliens) Anyway it's a game. I play it as is. That is all. Oh I forgot to mention, trader rekt is an ass.

I have voiced my opinion in the past about how I would like something in the game to be. Never always turned out how I wanted. I have known though that this is a game that someone else is making and I really have very little input on how it will be, if any at all. For instance if the pimps suddenly decided that you could make a stew with water, meat and feathers and if you eat it then for 10 minutes you could fly. Well, that is what they want in their game and I really have no say. I can argue about it and if not changed I can just play like it is or I can just never play the game again. For me history will likely repeat itself and I will play it how it is as I do really like the game overall. This is just my opinion, not a fact. Also if anyone makes a flying stew mod make sure you give me credit for the idea

What I got out of their original post was they wanted to be able to edit the serverconfig.xml file and have it make changes in their solo game. That is what confused me. They said they wanted their solo game to start as not listed. I made my post with a pic of where to start a game so it is not listed and got this response I am thinking it is because of language differences that we are getting our wires crossed.

Someone else will have to chime in on this one as you totally have me confused now. As I stated from what I know changing the serverconfig.xml file has no effect on solo games. You can just change what is in those menus. Or use mods. Good luck, hope you get your answer.

Are you on social media? I know Jim Carrey did it years ago and had some fair success with it but in todays age of being able to get it out to the public pretty much instantly and to many more people I am sure the vid would go viral and you would probably become very famous.

When you start up your game, in the General tab under Server Visability you should be able to set it to Not Listed..

Am probably an idiot for asking but Op keeps saying the game... We are talking about a proper server right, not a hosted game as from what I recall the serverconfig.xml file doesn't change your game settings. Disregard if I am talking out my butt.
