  1. The Drone is being worked on and improved all the time. There are a lot of edge cases that have to be worked out, but he'll see what he can do.
  2. I have filled some gaps where they were either needed by level design or as you say that were "logically" missing. I do not recall which ones specifically since as of today, I've added 230+ new shapes to A21.
  3. If we allowed players free access to usable workstations, they could skip over big steps of the game's progression. We've "talked" about the idea of allowing players to rent them, but that's a HUGE maybe later down the road. I'd personally like to see a repair quest for them, but we've got bigger things to finish up first. With the new crafting system magazines, these broken workstations are a great place to find Forge Ahead magazines (improves workstation crafting skill) so you can build your own. No longer are you forced to pick up the advanced engineering perks for the workstations.
  4. Yup! I've already converted all of the store windows to shapes which has saved 1000's of draw calls. Downtown areas should be a bit more performant now. I've also added several other window shapes to support some new POI's coming up. As time permits, I'd like to expand the store window set for trimming doors and different placement orientations like a 45° angle set. All will be player usable from the shape menu. Once Shawn is done with a few pending code changes, the glass can be smashed to downgrade to a broken version, repair back to the full glass version, and upgradable to another material. ...AND THE FRAMES CAN BE PAINTED!!! YAY!!!

  6. I guess he likes the UI layout of the crafting skills menu. Adds in some functionality we haven't had before in regards to progression/unlocks. I'm sure it will get tweaked a little here and there before we release, but it's working pretty good for now.
  7. Correct. That column shows the current number of magazines read vs how many you need to unlock the next quality level. As you can see here, I have fully unlocked the pipe baton with 10 magazines. Reading one more will give me the ability to start crafting the robo sledges
  8. Sort of a long shot here, but your output log is reporting a crash related to Audio. Try disabling Dynamic Music in the Audio Options and see what happens.

  10. Just to be clear on a few points being discussed about the new crafting skill system: It is the perk's loot probability boost that will drop off once a crafting skill is at 100%. NOT the magazines themselves. You can still find shotgun mags and give them to your friends, scrap them for paper, or read them for XP. Tool and weapon parts are still required in recipes. The only thing different for perks and perk books are the crafting unlocks. Everything else is the same. Some of them will have new perks added to them to beef them up a bit.

  12. Another benefit of the new crafting system and the quantity of magazines you need to read per skill is that you will find A LOT LESS paper in book shelves and mailboxes. They still have paper from time to time, but there are plenty of other places to find it.

  17. Everything is now saved in appdata. Logs, generated worlds, saves. If anything, these changes make it WAY easier to find stuff.

    @friendlyx3 Only the Insecure (unlocked) versions spawn loot. The loot list on the locked versions are not really needed, but I'll fix the error for consistency. Thanks!
