A21 Problem NO TRADER FOUND

Assuming that the map has traders on it (still at work so I can't experience A21 goodness yet)

In A20, the issue that caused this was in the White River citizen quest.  Note how it states only for pine_forest biomes.  If you comment out the first two lines in Objective phase 1, then it will point the player to traders in all regions (removing the comments in the 3rd and 4th line will direct the player to a trader in all biomes except wastelands).

 

I thought they fixed this in 20.6, but maybe it was reverted back again to pine forests only?  Or maybe the map doesn't have any traders on it (possible).

I got the same problem with the "no trader found". I already modified the Quests.xml, removed the Quest and gave it back to me again. Didn't solve it, it still shows "no trader found". Can anyone explain how to deal with this? I had this already on three random generated maps (default configuration for generation).

The game tries to find a trader in the forest biome for the starter quest.  If your map has little or no forest biome, that could be the problem?

I have the same issue. Plenty of forest bome - nearly 45% to be specific.

 

EDIT: I did recall that I increased the city sizes as I prefer some larger cities and wanted to see more roadside things since they are new so I bumped upmy rwgmixer

Validated files and made sure my rwg changes were back to regular. Still no trader. Think this is a bug. Spawning in general seems off. I spawned right in the parking lot of a tier 3 POI and was chased by a dog to start one of my journeys. Will have to wait till A21 gets patched up before I can play it seems.

 

EDIT: Did a full re-install after manually deleting any remnant files after the uninstall and after a fresh install still no trader.

Seems that the game isn't fiinding the blocks?

@Kyoji checking the log files.... I should have thought of this myself. I got the same messages. Somewhere in alpha 20.x the prefabs have been moved. My 7dtd was looking for the prefabs in %appdata%/7DaysToDie/LocalPrefabs and was not able to find the current ones. I cleaned this folder and copied the file from \Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\Data\Prefabs

 

Then I started my current world (which was without traders up to this moment) activated the white river citizen quest again and directly go a mark for a trader. Unfortunately the trader was to a big part inside a mountain. I started a new map and the quest worked like a charm and I was presented with a trader 500m away from my spawn.
