Boidster Posted March 23, 2021 Share Posted March 23, 2021 Hello. Your problem - blue screen crashing - will be very difficult to troubleshoot without much more information. You should read this thread, and at the very least post your 7D2D client log file (details are in that thread). It might also be helpful to post the error from your System Event Viewer. Press Win+X and then select Event Viewer. Choose the Windows Logs folder and then System. You should be able to find the exact error(s) in there from the time your computer crashed. If you are very lucky, your log + your system error information will be enough for someone here to help figure it out. Also, you should probably 1) make sure Windows is up to date 2) make sure your GTX drivers are up to date. You may also want to run the System File Checker to see if any files are corrupt. Make sure fans are working, no dust in the heat sinks, etc. Also maybe antivirus-related. Quote BCCode: 124 0x00000124 1. This is usually heat related, defective hardware, memory or even processor though it is "possible" that it is driver related (rare). Remove ALL power and reseat all cards, memory and cables (on both ends) - actually remove and replace - do not just snug. Make sure the system has adequate ventilation - add a small fan blowing into intakes. Carefully inspect the motherboard and other cards for damage. Pay attention to the fatal hardware error implication. You may need a real computer shop or the System maker's Support. 2. Check the processor seating, heat sink, and the compound between the processor and the heat sink which are common causes. 3. There have been a few instances where Norton/Symantec and other antivirus/security programs have caused this error. You are running Avast so I would totally uninstall it and use Windows Defender which in Windows 8/8.1 & 10 is a full antivirus. Boidster Posted March 23, 2021 Share Posted March 23, 2021 Is that an old world, from an older version of 7D2D? I do not think those errors are the cause of your Windows crash. Excess heat, or bad memory (or other hardware failures), or old drivers are more likely the cause. Can you start a new game using Navezgane and play until you get the Windows crash? Everything is up to date. There are two games that I have problems with and they are 7DTD and Kenshi, any other new open world game, runs in ultra with no problems of any kind. :C I built this pc to play Elite Dangerous, Conan Exiles, 7DtD, The Forest, Subnautica, No Man's Sky, Skyrim, Fallout 4, GTA V, Dying Light, Green Hell, Metro, Outward, The Long Dark, Dark Souls, Fade to Silence and Kenshi. -_- Only those two give me trouble. Boidster Posted March 23, 2021 Share Posted March 23, 2021 Okay, well I can't explain why a new world would get a corrupt .ttw file like that, but still I don't think that would cause a Windows crash. With all respect to your friend, if I were you I would download a tool like HWMonitor (www.cpuid.com) or similar and watch all of your fan speeds, temperatures, and voltages while you are playing. Just in case. I would also use System File Checker to make sure there isn't a system file problem (perhaps your friend already did this). It still would be helpful to have a log file from a clean start on a new Navezgane world. Just to exclude some variables. Just to clarify, you say you made a new world 3 days ago. Did you start a new GAME 3 days ago and for the map, choose one in your list of created maps? Or did you actually go through the process of generating a brand new map to play on? If you started a new game but did not generate a brand new map, you could definitely be playing on an old map which could be causing problems.
