Not sure if this is easily do-able - but another idea for the pot (sorry Gup!) Would it be possible to make a flame turret - kinda like the wired in ones we have now but that shoots flames and loaded with fuel not ammo? Just thinking it'd be pretty cool for horde base designs....

It was bloody hilarious actually - it flew up and away and then suddenly turned into a crispy corpse hurtling towards the ground. Gave me a good laugh anyway...

Hi Gup - another little bug - well, more of a "feature gone rogue"... I set a vulture on fire with a flaming bat, it started burning and then as it flew away it died and turned into a burnt zombie on the way down. It was funny as hell but I guess not exactly intended bahviour....

Ah - ok - it's bloody great anyway - fantastic work. I've asked Guppycur about the possibilities of the fire mod being triggered by things like fire attacks so I guess we'll see what genius he comes up with...

Yet another question (Sorry Gup) - Will anything flammable cause the fire to start proccing? EG attacks with fire modded weapons or incindiery rounds from other mods?

Pant change requirement confirmed... Bring spares... and spares for your spares... A little question... would the incendiary ammo work with Guppycur's fire mod? Cos if it does this mod is going to be even more epic than it already is...

Thanks man - understood. I guess you're right - It was mentioned by the guys I play with on our private server, but I guess the complaints about finding too many may very well disappear once folks find themselves... well... On fire... 😉

Which just means that the folk who actually complain about it could still be a small minority of the people who hate it. So no, you can't prove it. TBH outhous I'm done arguing with you about it - you don't seem to have a point so how about not blathering on about it?

Hey Guppycur - loving the mod still - what do i need to adjust to lower the likelyhood of finding fire extinguishers - they seem to be appearing all over the place in my loot... Ta.

Think I may have found a little bug - when you look up the recipe for Napalm for the flamethrower the UI seems to get a bit stuck and won't display anything BUT the recipe for the naplam.

Fair comment. Just to be clear though as far as I'm aware sarcasm is a directed form of irony which is used as a method of criticism or mockery. The only reason I mentioned it is that you explained that there are no forum rules against sarcasm. outhous took a sarcastic tone with me - so I assume it's fine for me to reply in kind.

(Love the veiled threat BTW) Just to clarify though - seeing as there's no forum rules on sarcasm... I'll admit that you've got me on the "raging fanboi"... But "Genius"? As in I said genius but I meant the opposite... As in "Sarcasm"....?

The implication was that it just complainers, basically a way of dismissing their opinion as a minority opinion. The statement with the "If" in it did indeed come later - but that was exactly the one he quoted when he complained about me saying "if everyone hates it" So whats your point? How about you go back to my original statement and pick it apart in a reasoned way and provide some actual form of response instead of just closing ranks with your mates and defending them when they decide to be abrasive? You're a moderator. it's not nice to show your bias.

I'm sorry but being told to "lump it" is EXACTLY the attitude players are met with. Take, just as an example the changes to farming, which pretty much everyone who actually USED farming hated. Was it reverted, no - those folk were just met with a wall of "it's great and it stays like that." I've suggested time and time again that if there were OPTIONS to control the way more aspects of the game work it would keep a lot more people happy. Is that ever implemented, no - it's the modders who allow us to revert gameplay features that we don't like - not TFP. Same with the new crafting progression system - is anyone actually telling me that it's going to be removed if everyone hates it? People like Khaine do indeed tell people to lump it - but it's a minority - if there was a majority who hated something about DF I'm pretty sure it would change. The only difference here is the attitude. Modders work for free - for passion usually and they care a lot about feedback. The devs seem to be a little less concerned - and I suppose they're entitled to be - it is after all their game and their baby to do what they want with. We've already bought the damn thing so we have little to no power - maybe that's part of the problem. But that kind of attitude is still a @%$# move.

There's a very good reason why Darkness Falls is so popular. Because Khaine pays a great deal of attention to what people do and don't like about the game - and fixes it. I think that's a pretty good strategy rather than just adopting a very combatitive "it's this way cos we say so and you can lump it" attitude. Just sayin'...

Ah - excellent - that's just the kind of solution I was looking for. I don't mind that the enemy NPC rocket users are "base busters" - it was actually the freindly/neutral ones that were causing all the damage! Thank you khzmusik - massively helpful.

Thanks for your reply drkstar - I can figure out how to disable the spawn but I still can't find any entry in the configs for ammo type. Would you have an example of the entry type for setting rockets to frag and where I might find it? Thanks and apologies if I'm just being thick...

So, I'm using a few mod packs such as vault dwellers and it all appears to be working really nicely. The only slight issue that I've run into is that occasionally (and I have turned down the spawn chance so that they appear very seldom) a rocket launcher NPC will apppear. Now I don't mind that in itself but they seem to be using standard explosive rockets that wreck the hell out of the terrain. Is there an xml edit I could make to change the ammo they use to rocket frag instead so that they're still dangerous but not a city-levelling liability? Thank you.

Ah - I begin to understand now - thank you. I was unaware of the mesh/prefab issue but that makes complete sense. Thank you for the Wolf version hack - it'll be fun to try it out but I underrstand it may go a bit "off piste"! Much appreciated.
