  1. I don't want TFP to add child zombies, and they won't, but the reason why I don't want them is uncommon opinion. It's not because I am concerned about the game's rating, nor the poor business decision it would be to have it banned in some countries, nor because I wish to put morality into gaming. (I especially will never use that as an argument against it. By doing so, you justify the decades-long claims that violence is triggered by using media). I don't want them simply because I don't think it could be pulled off well. Some people think it's really creepy when they do it in movies, but to me it always looks poorly done and way too fake. I'd be happy without the bandits. I think they will take away too much attention from zombies. I wouldn't mind fishing added, but I'm not interested in any more water threats unless mutant animals becomes more of a thing. Piranha in Arizona? Just something out of place to try to explain. If there is some void to be filled, it can be filled with some special zombie. Make the bloateds float or something.
  2. There are only maybe 20 search results I can find blaming Gazz and I don't know what happened to the pre-A17 forum archives. Coincidence?
  3. OK, you cannot make a list that big and not have knuckle rubs. .. and blaming Gazz,
  4. That would be interesting. The game doesn't need a wiki, but the forum does. Featuring the Kuosimodo mystery, definitions and origins of phrases such as "It's done when it's done," references pointing to discussions about madmole's digestion intolerances and how they have influenced the game with a lack of wheat and dairy foods, a complete listing of the many different triggers for Snowdog's perversions, the entire anthology of unholyjoe's Dad jokes, and why mentioning LBD is swearing... for starters.
  5. It would be kinda cool to see "NAVEZGANE" in smaller letters above "POLICE" like I often see wherever I am.
  6. I am not Kuosimodo.

  7. I see the end goal of such philosophy, but it seems it can be used to make victims of abuse the people who should change. In a way they should for their own good and to help end their suffering, but it doesn't address problems in society that are the root cause. But anyway, these words are plucked from simpler times. Some people just want to accept their primal selves for what they are and enjoy an afternoon on the forums without spiritual self-awareness.
  8. I'm not sure what not adding on begging means. I thought we were talking about people leaving bad rep and not saying anything. I assumed removal was what was desired because you can't have it ok to leave good rep without feedback, but then have it be un-ok to leave bad rep without it.
  9. "I don't like you, but your post is great" would be popular.
  10. You're probably right. Perhaps the removal of the post reputation is the best arrangement. I wouldn't complain although I do enjoy it and would miss it.
  11. I could be wrong, but I think in an earlier iteration of the forum, people had the opportunity to explain why their reaction was negative. This was optional of course, but at least you could sift out the valid thoughts from retaliation.
  12. I think there is a big difference here because you can clearly see who reacted and in what way. I'm not saying it is any better or worse, but the forum kinda pushes things to a more personal level.
  13. Players crawling through 1 block gaps when the backpack is empty... confirmed.
  14. Kuosimodo is not Madmole. Madmole almost always disagrees with my thoughts (until a couple alphas go by and the thought ends up in game anyway). Kuosimodo seems to agree with the majority of my posts. Kuosimodo will likely agree with this one. Madmole will likely disagree with this:
  15. It's an odd alpha though. Throwing in too good of stuff will break tradition.
  16. I would answer this, but I cannot see the question.
  17. Absolutely, that's the exact you feeling you get. It's hard to put to words, but there's something about it that makes you feel like a badass. Maybe more like a psychopath... but still a badass.
  18. You guys need to broaden your horizons. Try something completely out of place, like some Big Band from the 30s and 40s or some soft classical. Don't knock it until you've tried it!
  19. I thought that this topic was going to be about some parasite that comes out of one of the more mutated zombies after you kill it. That, I could get behind.
  20. I hope they watch streamers more often. There was this period where watching content was a real drag and so I just stopped watching. Everybody just kept making the same bases again and again. Sure, they may have started from scratch, or started with a different POI, but in the end, it was always the same. Now, I feel like half of every game is staring at a trader, but that's another story.
  21. I could have predicted that as the typical counter-counter-counter-argument, but I had to draw the line somewhere.
  22. I've been an advocate of zombies like this for years. I would also like to see traps and other base defenses designed to handle these specific behaviors. I wish to be challenged to come up with solutions for base defense while being provided adequate tools to do so. Predicted results would be: you and I are happy a set of people still consider this "wasting time fixing zombie AI" and that really stupid video gets posted yet again. a set of people complaining that zombies should not act this way because they should all be slow and dumb and not have "engineering degrees." References to swimming zombies will be made. a set of people complaining that they can no longer survive using the same base design they have had for x years. References to digging zombies and underground bases will be made. a set of people claiming that this is TFP once again forcing people to play the game a certain way. This will then lead to typical counter-arguments to mod the game or turn off the hordes, followed by counter-counter-arguments that not everybody cares to mod and they want hordes but do not want to spend x hours repairing their precious bases between every horde.
  23. Well, I think if you decide to use something that is probably an exploit and probably not intended by the developers, you take the personal risk of that changing at any given time. On top of that, you run the risk of getting used to some base design, leaving you unprepared to handle things in a different way. On that note, I think a contributing factor is that there aren't enough clever but more legitimate things you can experiment with. There isn't really that much variety in base defense in comparison to other tower defense-like games. Few zombies have special traits with corresponding methods to deal with them in terms of base defense.
  24. I can't speak for everyone, but for me it's because that efficient strategy has too little to do with actual survival. If the trader is OP, instead of having a zombie survival game, you end up with more of an apocalypse mogul game. This happens with a lot of space games. You want struggle against alien factions, huge space battles, sector domination, necessary exploration for exotic resources, but then you realize that buying unobtainium at one space station and selling it at another is all you have to do.
