  4. So what me and the wife do, is alt-tab out of the game, open the friends list, right-click the persons name and click "Join game" And that's it.

  7. Yep, that'll do it. When you eat/drink, you'll get either an average/good food or average/good drink buff. They actually give you a small health regen (like healing factor in vanilla). While the buff is active, you CANNOT gain wellness. So you could eat an average food, and a good food, and an average drink, and a good drink AND take vitamins and those would all stack. But then you need to wait for the buffs to expire before you can do it again.
  8. Press F1 to open the console. Type this. givequest quest_classtrainingmechanic2 You can't just chain-chug water/food to raise your wellness, and thus max health/stamina. You have to wait for the buff to expire.
  9. You don't need to update anything in the launcher. Doing so cold break something. It sounds like you either don't have enough RAM (unity crash box popping up) or it's a bad download. Try playing navezgane (I edited it to work on DF). If that works, try one of the small maps. If those work, then it's a RAM issue. If none of those work, try re-downloading the mod from the mirror. There's a checkbox on the launcher.
  10. I do try to, yes. The community is important AF, and you folks are pretty awesome. I mean, you play my nonsense... The problem is i'd basically have to download every single mod, test it and see what happens. I don't mind trying out a few if folks ask, but testing everything would obviously be a tal order. For the most part, getting stuff to work is just working out WHY it isn't compatible (usually appending to a skill that doesn't exist) and adjusting manually. 7 Days to Die/Mods/0-SphereIICore/Config/blocks.xml Find this. <property name="DisableXPIconNotification" value="true" /> Set to false. Yes they need water. Mushrooms DO NOT need to be in the dark. They just have a light level MINIMUM requirement of 0. So plant them above ground. Believe it or not, start location is actually based on game name.
  11. Same way as any other plant I'm not seeing any error in the log, unfortunately. The primative bow doesn't HAVE any alternate ammo. I buffed the base stats but made it use stone only. Not sure what's going on with the other bow, but it works fine on my PC (laptop, desktop and wife's PC) And inventory lag is fairly normal due to all the extra recipes, especially on a server.
  12. Much appreciated. Myth has been working on fixing up some of those issues in the worlds because we're updating the mod to compopack 43... slowly.
  13. Not without the log file... no. If it's GTX Gaming... I just had a look on their website. They don't seem to offer the mod as an install option (just having a look at the config options) and I am PRETTY sure they don't allow the user to upload DLL files. So i'll need the log file to know why it's crashing, but I'm willing to bet it's because you can't upload the DLL files the mod needs to run.
  14. I can agree with that. I hate big picture mode. My laptop has a shortcut hotkey SPECIFICALLY to put steam in big picture mode. Thankfully I don't hit it as much as I used to because it drove me mad.
  15. I don't use one, so no idea. Putting the game onto steam as a non-steam game shouldn't screw things up. I've heard a few folks do that so it works with Big Picture mode.
  16. You just manually make a copy of your 7 days to die folder (Steam/stamapps/common) and then unzip the mod into the copy. Then make a shortcut to the non-EAC executable on your desktop and rename it something like "7DTD - Darkness Falls". And that's it. If you want the mod, run the shortcut. If you want vanilla, run from steam. 7 Days to Die/Data/Worlds Look for the world name, then look in prefabs.xml. It has co-ordinates for everything. Bunkers and such SHOULD be at the end of the file.
  17. The hazmat suit is definitely better to go titanium hunting. My guess would be that something didn't download quite right. If you're using the launcher, try the mirror option. That seems to work well for folks (running my own gitlab instance on my server in germany just for the mod) Oh fantastic! Thanks for the block names. I can go get that fixed. If you're on a map without the small bunkers (PREGEN01-03 and potentially RWG), this can happen. There's no POI for the quest to point you to. Only 6k and 8k work, for some reason. Nothing. There's no quest. It unlocks the Master Laborer perk (need to be player level 50 and complete the laborer class for it to take effect). I would suggest the same to you as another user. It looks like you're using the launcher. Try re-downloading the mod from the mirror rather than the main link. There should be a checkbox you can select. That red error is a launcher-only one that I can't get rid of, for some reason. But manually installing the mod gets rid of it.
  18. They're not working properly at the moment. Something in A18 broke them vs A17. Most people gave up and decided to dual boot Linux or Windows. Which is what i'd recommend doing, because I don't own a proper Mac to test it.
  19. So the destroyed portals (the ones with no red in the middle) can be looted. Pretty sure they have demonic essence to help you craft stuff. You can destroy it and it'll turn into a block that looks like bedrock. Later, it'll turn back into an active portal. When active, they just spawn stuff... partially cos I thought it was cool, partially to help with XP, partially to help with loot. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/553470127039971346/698300008318894140/ApzmWkM.jpg I was actually thinking of just including an edited serverconfig.xml with some good defaults for the mod included, and an explination of the included maps.
  20. No. There muscle cars are enough of a pain to try and fix up as is. Check your quest. You probably either aren't killing them with the right weapon, or you're killing the wrong bears. Also, that is a VANILLA quest that's been in the game for god knows how long. I actually missed the gyro question. It only drops from demons. I'm willing to bet that's because you're either missing, or have a corrupt mods.dll since the guard blocks have a special spawn script. And if that file is corrupt, the entire blocks.xml fails to load, which then causes that error. Except I always tell folks not to use RWG because there's no guarantee it'll spawn the required POI's and stick to the pre-made maps. I've TRIED to make sure the POI's spawn, but it's not perfect. EDIT: It's also WAY better to generate the world on your home PC first (cos it's faster), make sure it has the required POI's and then upload it to the server.
  21. Nope. You can try checking for a backup save in %AppData%\Roaming\7DaysToDie\SavesLocal But if there's nothing there, no. Your save is toast. The game CONSTANTLY writes to your save, so power going out = dead save.
  22. Steel is made in the Big Forge. No. The spawners have a random bug. We're working on fixing that right now. You should be able to right-click when near them to heal them. I'm trying to work out why their health randomly tanks. I turned off eating/drinking temporarily as that WAS causing a bug that made them just die.
  23. Yes there are. Search creative for the name of the skill and you'll find books (can also be looted in game). These give +2 to the action skill. Not often. I released that version early to help folks on isolation/lockdown. I MAY update it next week, but no guarantee on that (could be longer) If you are playing on a server, that's intended.
