  1. As admin, open the creative menu and search for "Basic Survival Quest Note". Give it to the player and, when he reads it, he will get the opening quests.
  2. It looks like you've updated a 20.3 DF world to 20.5. AFAIK, you need to make a new world for 20.5 or you will have problems. Check the DF Discord for more info.
  3. Another thing to try is to delete the Plugins folder from your game, then Verify Files twice through Steam and try again. This will replace the EOS .dlls with new ones.
  4. I don't see that option in the Steam version Launcher. Can you clarify?
  5. They are garbage, they do nothing positive for you system, and most just add data collection to services already provided by Windows.
  6. Some other thoughts on cooling the thing down. 1: Maybe you can speed the fans up. There's probably a fan control section in the bios you could check, and if not, there's a great program called Fan Control that will allow you to speed up your fans. 2: While in your bios see if there's any overclocking that you can reduce. 3: What brand is your laptop? Asus, Acer, HP, Dell etc. all come with quite a lot of bloatware running in the background that will increase temperatures. Get rid of it all. 4: Get a blow through laptop cooler, similar to this. You'll need to find one that fits your particular laptop, but these work great for reducing laptop temps by actually forcing air through the machine.
  7. You may be able to reduce temps by limiting your framerate. I'd try 48 first just as an experiment to see if it actually helps. Then move up to 70 and see how it plays.
  8. Try selecting Use Native input module from the Launcher menu.
  9. I get the same result on UDP 26900 through 26903. Status "closed". The only port that is open on your server is 26900 TCP.
  10. That's weird that you got better fps with occlusion off. I thought occlusion was supposed to improve fps.
  11. If it is a "bug" I hope they leave it in.
  12. You could try asking here for help: Also, the 7D2D Discord has a modding section which may offer help for you. https://discord.gg/XvkEzw5d
  13. Press Windows key + R (run). enter "%appdata%\7DaysToDie\Logs" in the box. Open your latest log, copy the text, paste it in pastebin.com, post the link here.
  14. Your player profile is corrupted. Use the Launcher/Tools/Clean Game data... menu to clean it. This can happen when the game is not shut down in the normal way, like by a computer crash, power outage, or using alt-f4 to close the game.
  15. An output log from your reproduction may hold a clue to the problem. Get the log from %appdata%\7DaysToDie\Logs. Copy the contents to pastebin.com, and post the link here.
  16. copy your output log complete to pastebin.com and post the link here.
  17. Since you are playing a remote game, the remote host will have to delete your player files. They are in the game's save folder is a folder called "player".
  18. In your player folder, are you saying that the EOS etc. filename for your old profile is exactly the same as the EOS filename for your new, lvl 1 character? These are the files I'm talking about.
  19. Copy your player files from the previous world to the new world, and rename them to the filename of the working player profile.
