  1. I think you're lucky one of those arrows didn't hit you... or you wouldn't be adventuring anymore.
  2. @Roland: it would be great if this time they do early tech-demos of the new features! I wish they did more teasers, like what @madmole used to do a few years back (around A13/14), they were very fun to watch!
  3. You may be right, in fact I turned it off because I had the bug after turning it on, but I didn't connect the dots until now. After turning it off, apparently the bug is not there anymore.
  4. Can't file a bug report since I'm using a sound mod... but I just wanted to let you know that A20.2 has some serious "disappearing trees" issue right now... This one was taken looking in one direction: And this one was taken by just looking a few degrees to the left (same spot, all trees on the right have disappeared): Second example, this is the first screenshot: This is the second screenshot, just a few steps forward (notice how the two trees left and right disappear):
  5. I don't know how you can say it's good... I mean, it's night, you're in the middle of nowhere, and you hear some kind of water flushing noise from a toilet! That's so immersion breaking... and on top of that, is very loud, so if you're sneaking around at night you won't hear @%$# while that sound is playing. Anyway, problem solved by using the Ms. I won't be able to report bugs anymore, but hey, you can't have everything, I guess.
  6. I'm not talking about that... read again. The ones who got it know what I was talking about.
  7. @TFP: can you remove (or make optional) the unrealistic night "ambient sounds" please? I'm talking about the one that sounds like someone flushed the water in the toilet and similar ones. I'm asking this because currently they can't be disabled, and it's very difficult to hear the zombie steps and do stealth at night when those sounds play. I think this is a reasonable request, and it's IMO something that has been long overdue. Thanks for listening!
  8. Ok, sorry, I messed up the quoting... in that case we are already watching your address. But we also want water to be working well, so...
  9. Hi, I started a new game with a new world with A20.2 stable and I noticed one time (so it's probably very rare) that I stepped on something made of wood, and then for a while I had (this time) the "wood steps" playing on whatever terrain I was going over for the next (I think) 10-15 seconds. So I think it's not connected specifically to the snow biome... it must be something that's triggered on any surface for some reason. But, for the life of me, I can't figure out what is it that triggers this bug! Thanks

  11. Give us the NAME and most importantly, HOME ADDRESS (so in case the bandits suck, we can go pay him/her a visit). Yeah, but I was reading past posts and while reading I reply... I only realized later they had replied to that post like this! It's very difficult to read every single post and remember which ones you want to reply to at the end... Also... everyone has his own pace.
  12. Don't show this to @SnowDog1942! Lol, someone beat me to it! Everything back to normal...
  13. Summary: wherever you walk, you always hear the snow footsteps sound. Off Status: NEW Bug Description: steps in the snow biome almost always the same Detailed steps to reproduce the bug: 1) Go to the snow biome 2) Walk on the snow 3) Now walk on the road or on some other hard surface Actual result: you hear the snow footstep sound. Expected result: you should hear footsteps with a proper sound for the material you're walking on.
  14. Strange, the Mayans had predicted this would happen on 2/2/22...
  15. I agree, but to an extent... The problem is that "real life bandits" are often accompanied by silly kids, cheaters, griefers and what not. That's why most players who play SP and would maybe willing to try MP/PvP, are much more comfortable with some well implemented bandits: the bandits will be the perfect challenge where you don't have to depend on luck to find a good server with PvP players behaving like players and not like @%$#s. Also, the other great advantage of an SP challenge, is that you don't have to worry that while you're off-line your base will be raided and all your work destroyed.
  16. The text you quoted was in reply to your own reply (quoted on top) that I had read as contempt... but maybe I was wrong, since you're telling me that wasn't your attitude. As you have said, it's difficult to completely understand one's tone and attitude just by reading some text. Now that I read it again, with your explanation, I see you were genuinely having fun at the discussion and, in that case, my reaction was out of place and I apologize. Since you've been so kind to give advice to me, I'll give some to you too. This reply, for example, could be read as passive-aggressive, since you're apologizing to me for thinking that I was a "friendly" / "adult". That means that you're either implying that I'm hostile (which is not the case until I thought you were treating me with contempt) or you're just saying that I'm a kid, which to a mature man will come as an insult. So, my suggestion is to not play around with words too much and just get right to the point. ____ As for the general discussion we were having... I don't see much difference between making the Vultures superfast on horde night if you jump on a vehicle to flee, and having the zombies spawn around you, if the game detects that you're on a platform in the sky and the AI can't find you by the "normal means". That's what I meant by thinking out of the box, the devs can apply any punitive measure they like (like with the vultures) when the exploit is so evident.
  17. But I see it's your job to tell if it's worth the devs time. I always reply in kind to someone who treats me with contempt.
  18. I'm happy you're having fun with all the ridiculous (those really are such) assumption you're doing. None of them matter here. IMO, you're just talking to yourself, since you think the devs can't figure out a way to fix that reasonably. I (me) don't have to give you a solution, sure I can try, but it's not my job. What I'm sure of, and what you're assuming is impossible, is that the devs can find a way (if they want) to fix whatever exploits we players find. That's because all the "rules" that you, so diligently, mention can be changed exactly by the same people (the devs). But I'm sure you'll come up with a very complicated (and useless) reasoning where you prove that it's impossible. Actually, people like you make me laugh, because you're so focused on showing how "smart" you are that you can't think out of the box.
  19. This is @faatal when he starts to really get into the coding (he's also replying to forum posts and updating the MF bugs list in the meantime...)
  20. Maybe you didn't understand. Allowing BM zombies to spawn on player blocks would also fix the first problem. Basically, the BM horde would spawn on top of the platform.
  21. Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough in my last reply. It was about the "no spawn on player blocks" thing, not the 50 blocks pillars scenario...
  22. If the game is so horrible for you, why are you still here discussing it? Why aren't you playing one of the thousands of other games that are available out there? Seriously.
  23. Why? If they do it right, no it won't. You're making a lot of assumptions there, but if the devs decide to fix it they'll find a way, I'm sure.
  24. Weird, I thought normal spawns and BM spawn were handled separately. If they are, though, it wouldn't be much of a problem to enable spawning on block players for BM horde zombies, wouldn't it?
