  1. Cave POIs. Are cave POIs planned for 7 days to die/a20/future alphas (meaning a POI which you access from a simple cave entrance with handmade random passages/subPOIs that spawns in the wilderness) I love the sense of adventure of a nice creepy unexpected cave with cool stuff inside. I believe 7 days to die would be even more awesome with a lot of them in it.
  2. Awesome! Not concerned until bandits though, it runs better since 19.3/19.4 A while ago you promised on your Pikachu's grave that you would increase sleeper volume spawn performance/ wandering horde performance and that some of those could be better than they are now. My question is: Are a20 (1-)horde spawns/(2-)animal horde spawns, and (3-)huge-simultaneous-adjacent-consecutive sleeper volume spawns better in performance than a19? I believe you already said "no" for hordes but I might be wrong or very forgetful.
  3. Wow. I'm telling you @faatal THAT is not spawn. And it works. 5%-15% average increase in fps on my potato GPU 780M with 4800MQ 4 core CPU. DDR3L RAM (dual channel 32gigs 1666Mhz). EAC was off and it was worse before modifying the boot. I'm not sure why it runs that much better for free, but I suspect telling the boot exactly what to do frees CPU and therefore increases performance to various degrees depending on your hardware. It was like this for me: AVG-low: 24fps AVG-high: 94fps // And after applying the boot AVG-low: 32fps Avg high: 108fps. I didn't use a fps program (hence, the "Average" thing) but it was noticeable at plain sight. My video settings are that of a peasant of course, VSync off, Half quality textures and almost everything turned off except shadows, which are near, and view distance (high).
  4. The only reason they don't crawl through 1 meter holes yet is because of Snowdog. And code. But mostly Snowdog.
  5. By "select zombies" you mean that a cop might never be able to squeeze his fat behinds across 1 meter openings? That makes sense. It would be fun to watch, though. Bears too.
  6. Lol.Alright. forgive me for being a little wary of a 3000% increase in shape number. Next time a guy approaches me telling that he's a Pimp and he'll give me a discount I'll just say yes, thank you.
  7. Is that in the game or in the editor? Can you confirm that we have close to 1200 shapes to choose from for each material in a normal gameplay?
  8. Fear not, they might change her face or her clothing, but her boobs will certainly be safe and sound, because that's what matters. For gameplay reasons.
  9. It was really just the model that was replaced. The new model does mostly the same mid tier stuff as far as I know.
  10. My favourite part of the stream was when Rick said that a21 was probably the last one and Lathan's face was like... "OooOOook I'm out of here". There's very little chance that a21 gets to be the last alpha because there are 4-5 major systems left. And each alpha gets to see 2-3 tops. Then again a22 might be called "alphabeta twister 2.0" and they introduce the main campaign and radiated bees.
  11. Oh, I wish that too. But I think I heard madmole saying that the shape menu had 144 shapes (months ago?, so it makes sense to have 270 now) and they were passing through 1000+ blocks. Also, it says TOTAL. Total is not " partial" as far as I know. Why would it say total if it's only one single box?. Do you really believe there are 2 more pages of 90 blocks behind that screenshot for that same category ? I personally doubt it, but maybe it's just me. 1200 shapes is crazy. 270 is already more than 5 times what we had. The second makes sense. The first would make sense if we are talking to the total amount of blocks in the game, which they are. Still. The editor would have all the 1200 shapes anyway. Edit: 270 shapes for each material is what I believe to be the reality of the situation. Including furniture and various other things.
  12. Yes. Still ok. I believe each page switches to the next left box. Even if it's not, page 2 probably has very few shapes.
  13. Yeah... But aren't those furniture and stuff? Well... they ARE technically shapes though. I see now. It's huge then. Cloth tables here we go! Edit: Erase that. I was right. It's 270 total COUNTING all the left boxes. In the particular selected box of the screenshot there are only 96 shapes. That means that all the other boxes account for the remaining 174 shapes.
  14. Yes. The total block number is close to 1200. I was talking about when you use an individual material, like wood, you get to choose from a menu of 240 shapes (edit: Erm... it says 270 on the dev stream screenshot so I might be wrong) , same with stone, concrete and steel. Before it was like 40 and sometimes even less, and completely random and unordered shapes.
  15. But it was worth it. Lemme tell you a story: in POI alone: 145+ new POI is like a18 and a19 fused together content-wise (a18 had ~101 new locations and a19 had 43 new POIs [12 remnants and 31 POI] ). So 145-170 locations vs 143 from the last 2 alphas is an extremely good time tradeoff. In weapons: A whole new tier. Comparable to the higher tier weapons of the previous two alphas. In quests: At least 1 new tier 3 buried supplies quest and the new generator quest which is more in raw content than the two previous alphas combined (only trader to trader quest and improved buried supplies were provided). In world building and graphics: A 240-shape menu to play with and with every (allowed) material available plus a full block redesign (and in some cases retexture). Hundreds of new modules, assets, props and decorations, including landscape and shader improvements (grass, foliage etc), sidewalks, signs....etc . I'm not even mentioning the new 25 zd models ( finished old ones and brand new too), all the mod remodeling, animations, etc. New video options too! I'm not saying everything there is here, but close. Gameplay: new mechanics like zd crouching+feral sense, vehicle mods+paints, dismemberment redone more realistically and satisfyingly cool and loot progression rebalance (not for traders). I'm not finished, but you see, all of this was made in just 12 months vs 22 from a18 and a19. I very much prefer a lenghty alpha like this one with a huge chunk of content than a bland alpha that stands out thanks to its mommy's money and took almost double to make (meaning mommy a17 made the whole framework for a18 and a19, and those last two just improved over it). Do you still think that a couple of months more were unworthy of your wait? Welcome to the forums by the way.
  16. We have to be respectful. One of them is faatal (back seat) and he's exploring new horizons.
  17. I've got a screenshot of them too. But on land this time:
  18. Roland, I know they usually ignore you or bully you during stream events, but I have a request: Could you please sneakily introduce/reintroduce the idea of many more cave-like underground POIs ? 'cause I'm in Europe and can't do much about it due to work and stuff. Here's the plan, you first start by gentlely stating that you are amazed by MM's muscles and mane, and after a couple of minutes you shoot the question up there. If they start making excuses and pointing out that they are ruling late for npcs or Gold or something ridiculous like that then I'll know I`ve failed. Lol. May the hype train be with you.
  19. I can answer that with a fashion designer's tone: Exactly as many as there are dyes . That's 9 colours in total: White, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Black, Brown, Pink, and Purple. A few months ago they say they could add more down the road. Not a promise though.
  20. As far as I know, water rework is going to be a21 (not confirmed, but everything goes before bandits and there are only 4 major systems left : clothing, quests/campaign, npcs and water). It's a big fish to tackle. You sea, one could say it's the new wave of alphas. An ocean of code, the shark of the bug world, a cascade of hardships, etc.
  21. Sorry, by "the game" I meant a20. I think you meant it too so ok. Thanks.
  22. @faatal I've got a few pre-stream questions. 1- Is the game in content lock already or might we see some last minute art squeezed in within the dev streams' timeframe? 2- A while ago, there were some words from madmole about road decals. Do you know if they have been improved for a20? (I know it's kind of insignificant, but it's a very sentimental milestone as they have been in the game since alpha 1 and everything else has changed). 3- It has been said here that water can be in the sewers. Have there been any changes to the way the player walks on top of small shallow waters? (The brutal slowness of walking on a finger-sized pond might spoil the fun if sewers are even slightly watery and "populated" ) 4- Have you tried the feral sense option yourself in a gameplay? If so, how good is it? That's all . Thank you for your time.
  23. @Roland do you know if the devs are planning for 1 dev stream per week or are they gonna squeeze 8 dev streams in just 13 days like they did for a19? Edit: More is alway better !! heheh.
  24. I see. So they wait for the alpha to release to get you talking. That is evil. Lol.
