  1. I looked for Steam Statistics. As of September 2021 (Last month) these are the percentages of players using the various Linux-based OS (for the whole of Steam) Steam has around 120 million players worldwide (2020). So it's probably 10 Linux users playing 7dtd. 11 on sundays.
  2. Seven. Kinyajuu has Linux for sure.
  3. @faatal I have a question: Knowing that armours are on the way, have you heard about legendary weapons from anyone or do you know if they are actually planned for the future? The concern is actually threefold: 1-Will they simultaneously make it along with armours for a21? 2-Will they eventually make it in a future alpha or ..... 3- ...... have they been scrapped? It would be very nice if we can get a "likely" even if it's remote. Thank you beforearm.
  4. That's good to hear. In any case, the baton would benefit from another superspecial mod (like the repulsor), like a chain eletrocution one or a superslow beam supercharger with tiny ranged capabilities. Pew pew.
  5. I suggest an electric toothbrush that shoots toothbrushes. It does the exact same thing as a baton combat-wise so it wouldn't unbalance the game and it would also take that robotic "slot". It can have a primitive version (scrap iron toothbrush).
  6. Ah, yes. Excellent. Fantastic. Really neat. That can't be. I see. Culture. It's boobs. He gets it.
  7. Now you have entered a can of worms. You might be saying that the rest is not as cool. Every single Attribute has Asymmetrical design. Just look at it:
  8. I've had this rant a while ago too. Int doesn't stand up by itself in combat if you add all the damage and/or flexibility of the 2 turrets and the baton. It just doesn't. BUT. And this is a BIG Butt, INT has traps. Electrical traps, tactical traps and an hegemony over workstations to a point that you can't even begin to compare it to other builds. Yes, it's more tactical, but stands out A LOT if you factor in that fact. It even comes up waaay on top. And you can also use traps in a POI quest. As many as you want. INT is OP.
  9. Jokes don't say anything about anyone except for the size of the sense of humour, in my opinion. I feel offended by your comment
  10. There are a lot of stereotypes in the game. From the store neon signs, to the flavour signs, pictures and paintings, along with Zds and clothing (nerdy glasses, cigar, cowboy, gothic-themed clothing). There's also Rekt, from whom I feel very offended by, and Jen (her assets are too big and I feel too arousily offended too!). Roland also offends me. I mean, a moderator Math teacher? come on. That is like having a Car Mechanic/house flipper Developer. Oh wait. Humans be humans. The Nerd armour is ridiculous. And ugly. And I love it. They should break one of the glasses and have it so the Zds steal his meal and lunch money.
  11. I see. They will make many kinds or armour with buffs and for all tastes eventually. While I agree that it's ugly, the game won't hold your emotional hand nor will it be lenient towards your emotions or opinions, but the creator's ones (which are from a time that humour didn't give a crap about taste or offended people). It's a +18 game. If they want to have Zd kids that come out of a pregnant woman and cosplay nurses, they are entitled to.
  12. We could always ask for a Boolean called GuppyAmount that if =True, fps instantly drop to 3. I think that would allow for more freedom in controlling our game from the shadows. Then we can add TAA to boost the sharpness of that number to Zero, so we can have more time to take screenshots.
  13. Filling all the sleeper volumes with the variable in every hidding spot would be the only use case. Sounds meh to me for performance reasons and will unbalance tiered POIs and should only be used when not questing. I don't disagree to that intention and like you I would like more control over sleeper volumes in the future, but it might be HARD on the system to have lots of sleepers that you can't even see spawn simultaneously. MaxAlive and your "MaxSleepersAlive" can only do 1 thing, and that would be to check and limit the spawn cap, but contrary to MaxAlive, you can't set whatever limit you like to MaxSleepersAlive or it would overflow the POI if you set it high enough, so I find it even more useless in that case.
  14. I feel your feels... but there are no benefits in cluttering that into 2 variables. POI are extremely fine tunned and balanced for each tiered quest and they have a fixed number of entities. Why would you need a variable that allows for a higher cap to constant spawning in those cases of hard-coded design in which entities are supposed to be in specific hand picked numbers? Yes, you can say it might be more organic and useful even allowing to create an ARENA-like quest in which you fight different sets of Zds in an encased place for a reward, but even in that case it would be better to script it, period. Why would it be a bad idea? 1- Less performance as it would be a new big parameter that can run independently to the previous fine-tunned MaxAlive cap, and can result in useless sleepers spawning for no reason inside and bloating a house while you get more Zds outside too. 2- MaxAlive already gives us the illusion of more Zds by constantly spawning those 4 Zds in the vicinity (in faatal's example), and Zds outside can eventually path to the inside too. You can already manually position a sleeper volume and I believe you can also tune its respawn rate. I wouldn't ask for more than that . ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What I would ask @faatal though, is the ability to change map icons via xml with parameters like fading options and size (both compass and map ones, like all the white ones the player can place and the ones from animal tracker and vehicles and drone, the trader icon, quest makers, plane supply location...etc) and place them all preferably in a new folder ("MapMarkers" maybe? or the already existing ItemIcon folder, who cares as long as it is accessible, right? ) Edit: That way it would help us both modders and quasimodders alike to have a way to tweak the map icons easily without using Unity himself.
  15. @faatal a few days ago we got the hype train sidetracked by a hype raft. Will it make it? I think it could fit 1 seat mod on Sundays at the very least. A reinforced sail mod? Skeletons with notes?
  16. Lol, that is actually true, but they won't let it get past Christmas, even if it means that we get a few MF bugs for early experimental. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @faatal , what does "Added biome spawning supports disabling spawn types using POI tags in an area." mean? I understand it like: You added code for allowing POI designers to place a POI and disable spawns in that particular POI area using the colored box system if they so choose ?
  17. 65,5? Edit: 86 was not arbitrary, It's a turning point for my potato for some reason.
  18. YES. Thank you. What about horde night to 86 limit? Lately it can hold it pretty well.
  19. Lol, then I won't tell you that based on past statistics (a18 and a19) from bugs coming from many teams and of various difficulties to fix in a 35 dev sized team, the ratio of bug fixing is around 12-18 bugs a week, taking into account those bugs that you fix and add 5 more (there's around a 10% chance of that, which is calculated, hence the 6-bug error margin //popped up bugs are usually easier to fix but time consuming// ). So yes, Streamer Weekend will be 17-19 December 2021. This calculation doesn't add the human factor, the procastination armor effect, which increases a routine-based dev's performance up to 50% the closer the target date is approaching, which might result in a 10-12 December streamer weekend. That is unlikely to happen as most of them are veterans and don't give a vulture's butt about that due to their awesome working environment. So December 23 it is for us give it or take 1 week.
  20. Not really a weather problem as it looks awesome, but the actual font color didn't keep up. It might need a sharper dark border, idk. It happened quite a bit.
  21. This is what happened in the dev stream: Rick, Joel and Latham played a few adventures together, full of twitch freezes and POI looting, a bit of base building in the form of precarious squared wood structures and a few pipe weapons with jammy shooting. Overall it was fun, they also showed a few twitch integration features and confirmed that a20 will not be out until a total of 127 bugs get fixed (way later than Halloween, but they didn't give dates at all). Bugs that appeared in the dev stream (very few actually) @faatal time of day and hour can't be seen when looking at the new shinny sky clouds (bright white) , like those on a sunny day. Was it the stream palette or is that an actual issue?
  22. Ah, yes. Dropping bows and destroying Gyros with a dart trap. It's always fun to watch MM play. He is the soul of the party. The Garfunkel to their Simon, the creamtop to their ... idk, pipe weapons? That didn't sound right. Anyway! It's awesome to see his gameplays, and with TF Pimp and Prime on top of that! Can't way to stay awake, lol.
  23. @faatal what are you guys working on at the moment? Or is it bugs all day at this point?
  24. Weather has been discussed in stream number 5. Yes, you will have the haze, and the rain, and the snow, and wind, etc. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1171068368?collection=-_AUSAIToxZ19g
  25. They could add a stream of big yellow exclamation points coming out of the drone and healing you in a shower of hp. I think that would be more realistic. It wouldn't hinder the Zd's ability to kill you at all.
