S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init()

Hello,

every time i try to start my server i got this error:

[S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; SteamAPI_IsSteamRunning() failed. Setting breakpad minidump AppID = 251570

 

Can sombody help me?

On a first hunch I would check your networking configurations (ip routing, ports, etc.) and make sure any mistakes weren't happened there.

I opend every Port for 7d2d but it will not work.

TCP: 26900 UDP: 26900-26902

I'm pretty sure there is at least up to 26903 if not even 26905 to be opened. Read the pinned threads here in the "support" forum, in one of them is a list of ports you need

I fixed it. I used a different network and that fixed it.

Just for the record and to help anyone else in the future, could you state the network you were using that did not work and the network you switched to that did work?
