No Trader, Can I fix

Hi. I was playing this map and I have the quest to find the trader and it says no trader and cant find the location. Is there a way to fix this without restarting a new map?

 

If I can't fix the quest is there a way(including cheating) to find a trader if it's just the quest that doesn't work. If there really is no trader on the map, I'd like to fix it by spawning a trader settlement somewhere and spawning a trader within it, I don't know how to spawn the settlement though. I've included an image of the issue.

Are you playing a custom map or old save from many builds ago?

I highly suggest starting a new map after deleting all generated maps and verifying file integrity; however, if you must, I did solve that issue a while back by teleporting to traders. enter dm into the console and then use the tppoi function (either by going to esc menu or typing tppoi into the console) to go to the traders until you find the one the quest wants you to go to (this is not guaranteed, either). Again, best to start a new world :)

Thanks Jugginator, I was able to teleport to settlement, there is no trader really, but i used the debug options to spawn some in lol.

 I had this same problem with "no trader". 

 

What I discovered is that playing A19 on a world map generated in A18 or earlier is a no no.

 

 I don't remember reading this requirement in the patch notes and this info should be plainly presented to the player OR the game should auto-check for non-A19 maps and give a warning.

my screen shot show an a18 map is RED and cant click to start it in a19.... BUT people have learned quickly how to bypass it. there are also banners at top of this forum and on every page as well that do explains these things (but its ignored).

 

its a stalemate situation that will always exist. :)

a18 saved game is not the issue. The issue is that you can create a brand new A19 on a world generated with A18. The game gives you no warning. An A18 generated world creates the  primary problem of no traders existing. This concerns with A18 generated worlds(again NOT saved games)  is NOT clearly communicated to users.

in all of my generated world there is a file called map_info, should have contents like this:

Don't forget about generated worlds. But yeah if you have an old world and use the same name in 19 then it'll use that instead of generating from brand new. So, make sure you delete that out too.
