ElCabong
I have on a leather hood and then I have leather armor two of which have the insulateion mod that protects you from cold but some of them also have the opposite mod that protects you from heat. I also wear the long coat, a flannel shirt, and denim jeans. I would have thought that would be enough. Should I remove the heat mods? Are they making me colder? FA_Q2
Heat mods do not make you colder but temperature mods in armor are pretty pointless in general because of the small impact they have. Sometimes you are just gonna get cold in the snow biome even with good gear - cold only makes you eat more often so once you are self sufficient it becomes a moot point. If you want to stay warm you really need some BDUs and a puffer coat.
A Nice Cup of Tea
Even with BDUs, a puffer coat, and insulation mods on my armour it still isn't enough to prevent me from getting cold. But it is enough to keep me on the first level of "cold" rather than "freezing".
canadianbluebeer
hoodie sweater, and the warm hat mod on the helmet, along with the puffercoat . hoodie is 11 vs cold where bdu is 8. that had mod is worth a bunch. (I swap it for the cowboy hat depending on where I'm going)
Feycat
I don't even bother trying to survive cold and desert biomes. The temperature system is still pretty garbage.
