  1. haha no. I hate silly enemies. How zombie should looks like ( + types) ? like no more room in hell 2 mixed with zombie variants from RE2 and 3 . No silly ones but keep serious setting

  3. well NZA have cool shooting zombie - they are rly inaccurate and rarerly can hit. Well there is no chance for another zombie types anyway xd
  4. So: there is not problem about model but with what Devs was talking during stream? To be honest - not only Lara Croft but... most of characters from this period - Duke Nukem, serious sam etc. i know this will be shocking for some people but look on wikipedia about Billy Herrington. And check in which period of time he was popular and why this explain a lot to be honest and male character was definiton of sexism too. Why TFP decided for this: 1. 7DTD became streamers oriented - this mean streamers can joke about that etc. you know make content on Twitch ; i will copy Madmole comment about zombie variants: "'d be ok with tint variations.It's not that we also wouldn't want to see more zombies, it's a matter of it would delay gold even further and we're focusing on going gold.It's one of those things that would not move the needle on sales even .01% too. New customers don't care if we add more zombies. I'm not that interested in more zombies without new behaviors. I wrote up a bunch of great zombie designs with behaviors but coders don't have time so more zombies or variations is just meh, and doesn't get us closer to gold or more sales so selling the idea is impossible, as well as we have to make room in the memory footprint for all these new bandits yet.At best we could add a few and put them into specific biomes so that memory can handle it, and it would still be the same problem, repetitive in each biome.Maybe we can leverage the character system to add a new zombie head to a player outfit and make some survivor zombies easily using the already in memory character outfits for some tougher armored zombies. These are more draw calls than the current zombies though and bigger textures etc and wouldn't be the best use of resources. Ideally we could start the next game from scratch using the system. I think the skeleton is different too though so animations become a problem. People watch streamers and buy games in which streamers play 2. They want to make variation about Fallout and Mad Max - this is not longer zombie game art style but just generic post apo art style: visible cut off from Walkind dead, l4d2 , contagion, No more room in hell etc 3. Well - as wrote above - They decided too make stereotypical look because that's how are looking character in West post apo style - Rage is good example where every character is just stereotype.
  5. Most people doesn't know too much about tanks - someone just was looking for tank and found one for free/cheap. Probably this person doesn't even check what is a tank. You know - this game doesn't have lore so they just care if something looks cool or not

  7. There is no bigger logic : there is no law stuff behind this photo so they used it as random modern tank photo. Nothing more nothing less. Guys TFP is not focused on lore so there in bigger sense here - modern tank as tank. It's like when moviemakers show in budget movie incorrect weapons, vehicles etc. just because it was cheaper
  8. Ehh... 7DTD is inspired as hell with Mad Max and Fallout - it's bad as hell - they should target more into days gone or no more room in hell about art style. But they decided too keep into generic postapo - and to be honest such design is rly popular in productions with similiar art style - Fallout , Mad Max, Rage. It's not serious this is kinda halve parody. I wish 7DTD was serious Zombie game but it's too late. And as Madmole say - sells good. treat 7dtd more like hm... product not art
  9. Not always this a choice. In simplifications - devs have to show something from time to time. Prop, gameplay, new model, mechanic describtion. So this works kinda like : Max: Ok Wiilly what did you done? Willy : You know bandit model Max: Show it WIll: < show bandit model> Max: ok nothing was published since 3 weeks - upload this on page There is no bigger logic - is there is nothing and something was made - it can be published just to keep interestment. TFP know how keep a bussineses. I can complain about their development decisions but for sure they are effective about managment
  10. There is not such things because game is simple as Doom or Minecraft. So - don't expect this will change into the last of us xd
  11. Depend how many FPS you want to have - if you want stable 30 FPS - 3060 will be good enough. So lose 100 FPS on 4090 while you have normaly 200 FPS - is not a big problem. it's still far from good enough 30

That's why just diffrent colour is like spice. not main dish - in l4d2 if you check models you will see that number of faces is pretty low - but diffrent clothes, dirt, blood etc. solve that problem more and more people have 16 GB of ram. So this allow for much more. Guys it's not 2013 anymore
  13. Em you guys wrote that next game won't be 7dtd 2 for sure. But if there will be 7dtd 2 - similiar system to l4d2 would be the option to be honest. If you want to add paid DLC - make veterans happy is more important that focus on new players - because they will came for while and give shortly after so this mean they won't buy DLC BTW. @madmole Combat – Encounter over 50 unique zombie archetypes including special infected with unique behaviors and attacks is this still information actual or outdated? If still actual - this mean adding more zombies will make you closer to gold

New variants would be much diffrent but you know "more expensive! need more time to do" etc. so same folks with diffrent colour clothes is not perfect solution but... this at least something. don't expect 30 new zombie variants so this is the lesser evil - and improve quality not lower them - it's just like pepper for dish
  15. That's true. But if there would many variants of colours for all zombies - it would help a lot. Btw. you know how to solve faces problems in realistic way? gasmask for some of zombies , bandanas, ski googles etc. So even if you have dunno - 50 this same zombie just diffrent colour but everyone in gasmask - this would solve clone syndrome

  17. it could help a lot - hazmat zombies in l4d2 or even zombie workers in Dying light 1 - this same zombie just diffrent colout of uniform. About colour of skin hm.. maybe if was some zombie were more green for rot would help but depend how this would be done ( at least this good work in DL1 I agree about that
  18. It doesn't hurt because Minecraft have stylized graphic. Like dunno - Teen mutant ninja, Superhot, plants VS zombies. Other hand - game similiar to Minecraft have many zombie variants +- 50 while this is just one type of many enemy types. Orc must die? many diffrent looking orcs 7dtd if i good understand target more realistic graphic right? Which low number enemies was problem in games in SH downpour. I remember even review of RE7 complaining about low enemy variants. Ofc - game can have army clones in this same time have realistic graphic without problem if it's explained - Seriopus Sam - most enemies are aliens or clones, KF - literaly clones. I know that TFP is not big company - but Techland was critized for small number of zombie variants while this is much bigger company (and many props - like this same upper halve of body almost everywhere sometimes lying each other which looks rly bad) In dead island 2 situation is much better fortunatly. Guys - i understand low number of variants in 2013 - but now are higher standards. So if you want make target in more realistic style of graphic - more zombie variants are neccesary. The no more room in hell 2 devs had to add low number of zombie of variants because lack of money. But after finding publisher they add much more of them which is right decisions - well people looks and wear diffrent clothes right?

Thanks for explanation. i hope for that too. i think it would be possible to made but after HD models it would be too costly 😕 kinda could agree : bandits can be count still but not animals Farm or Hunt – Plant and grow gardens for sustainable resources or head out into the wilderness and hunt over a dozen unique wild animals. Hm.... sounds like specialy exctracted from rest of creatures. but this will be fine - i was only angry because well it was still as actual thins on this page. If this will be changed it will be good enough

No. in l4d2 you can easy spot how zombie looks like - a lot of them are in idle mode - this woman is barefoot , there is a soldier, this zombie cop have nightstick etc. btw. there is even many PoI connected variants - patients, nurse and docs in hospital, stuff in airport etc. So you don't have clone attack syndrome. And to be honest - people looks diffrent - so zombies shoulds looks diffrent too. i'm sure someone could ran away from home just in PJ and became infected. So you can say - this one was cop, this was probably was infected in home , this one was infected during weeding etc. so make game more immersive

It should be in roadmap in : ROADMAP TO GOLD AND BEYOND Bandits Armor Weather Factions & Story Steam Workshop Support so: it have to be OFFICIALLY confirmed and added before gold. i'm not complaing about A21 only - but lack in roadmap. If they officialy add to the list " at least 20 more zombies " or " at least 50 zombie in game before gold" - i would be satisactioned

Fun fact - in many generic post apo games you have mutants, bandits and animals - so this sounds like... "7dtd became generic like others". and wait a sec :With over 15 million copies sold, 7 Days has defined the survival genre, with unrivaled crafting and world-building content. Set in a brutally unforgiving post-apocalyptic world overrun by the undead, so: Zombies should "main meat" not addition - just rest of enemies be addition. While now zombies are just left far from finished.   25. They are working on bandits since A15 at least. They put from their own choice - they could add this much ealier but changed their mind. And yes it's neccesary. It's even much more important that new props. Reason is pretty simple - if you make game about zombie where zombie our just 3 background.... why you ever added them?
