  1. If you're talking about removing them from the game period, I wouldn't be opposed to this. Now that they are less common than they used to be and scrap brass can be found in loot in reasonable quantities (*cough* unlike lead *cough*), the trophies, candlesticks, and knobs could almost be described like sharp sticks. Whatever you decide, In Pimps We Trust.
  2. I'm sorry, but I could never support insta scrap. It hasn't happened to me in a while, but instantly scrapping a precious item like a gun, a stack of old cash, a stack of bottled water, etc. sucks, and having those few seconds to react can save them from being turned into a less than preferred form. Just my take though.
  3. I would have thought it would have been a much simpler process, but I don't claim to be a techie. No worries, as long as you keep the ability in the game to scrap items at workbenches.
  4. Having the EXP pop up when you make a kill while looking down a scope would be nice as well.
  5. Mm-hmm. Right. Well, hopefully TFP provide a fairly diverse customization system (a wide range of hair types are a must in my opinion), but if they cannot find the time then I'm sure just having a preset select option would be fine as well. While I love that the game is still in alpha, it would obviously be within their best interests to get 7D2D to gold ASAP.
  6. You might want to reword that bit. Not pointing fingers at you, but the way you presented the first part of that message makes it seem like you're acting entitled. I'm sure whatever TFP will present to us will be "good enough" if not beyond. Edit reason: spelling errors
  7. Could the scrap timers for brass items (minus radiators, of course) be reduced in A20? It would be such a wonderful quality of life change. I never scrap brass unless I absolutely have to, but it's a bit excessive in my eyes that it takes nearly 2 minutes for a single candlestick to be broken down when lead items only take a few seconds per.
  8. Funny. I keep on finding the blackstrap coffee book within the first week. 😛
  9. Oh definitely, I completely agree with you on that for the same reason you provided. Another thing that has been on my mind that is related to this topic: what of the Needle & Thread book series? Will it be completely reinvented or just sent to the recycle bin? Also, while I have my reasons to doubt you've found enough time to put any significant hours into a personal world in 7D2D, if any at all (what with A20 being developed and all), if you have managed to sink some more hours into the game, how is that going? Any stories to tell?
  10. I was already aware of the merger; thanks for answering my question. I'll be most interested if the singles can still be made without a book/schematic/perk.
  11. How will the clothing pocket mods work with the replacement system, that being outfits? (Meaning, there is currently a single and double armor pocket mod (excluding the triple variant here), as well as the single and double clothing pocket mods. Will they be merged into a unified system?)
  12. All I want is for spider zombies to no longer clip their heads, necks, and arms through blocks, and I'll be happy.
  13. As far as I know, all current armor/clothing items (minus plant fiber gear) will be replaced by outfits, and the plant fiber set will become an outfit. So yes, those clothing/armor items you mentioned will probably be replaced. Either the night vision goggles will become a mod (although MM already confirmed a while back that this will not be happening), or they'll be a part of a stealth armor set, if not removed entirely. I wonder what will become of the Needle and Thread book series though. Going on a side note, but speaking of book series, I'd like to once again outline how almost pointless it is to lock the M60, steel club, and steel spear schematics behind higher gamestages if you can just find the books to craft said items at any point in the game.
  14. And those scenarios are the most frustrating for sure. You love the idea of x mod or texture pack or whatever in its entirety, minus a couple of exceptions which turn you off of it outright. I know that all too well.
  15. In other words, hopefully to hit the nail on the head here, conversion mods are created under the vision of one, sometimes a few, individuals. With humans come opinions, and each individual has their own to speak of. To some, chopping down a tree, crafting wood logs into planks of wood, strips of wood, sticks, etc., harvesting the next tree with a bone knife to get sap, having to craft a forge (which is its own extended process) to craft nails, as well as obtaining glue, all to craft wood frames, is realistic/rewarding/etc., but to other folks, they'd just fine it a pain in the ***. 😛 With conversion mods come hundreds, if not thousands of changes, and a lot of people will prefer the vast majority of them, but to some people, they are just far too picky and if they had the ability to, they would just create their own mods instead. I fall into that category, for one.
  16. This question has already been answered by Madmole in the past. The answer is a flat no.
  17. My only constructive criticism for it is the reload animation. The first half of the reload sequence looks way too slow and methodical imo. Yes, and I would love some sofas in the game to break up the monotony of couches. In other words, absolutely not. When requesting features, what is one of the first questions that should come to your head? That would be, "is it a sharp stick?". Skyscrapers are an incredibly rare spawn in RWG as of current. The same goes for standard military bases, if they're still in the RWG prefab spawn list in the first place.
  18. If you're looking for the links to the streams, just type in "7D2D A20 Stream 2" in either YouTube or Twitch. It's not that difficult to locate them. If you cannot access them, then that's Chinese censorship for you.
  19. @Kuosimodo I saw that you reacted with a heart emoji for one of my posts. Remove it immediately.
  20. I'm surprised no one mentioned that the second dev diary happened yesterday on Twitch.
  21. I doubt that would be possible due to performance reasons. As an alternative, how about higher gamestage nighttime spawns? If you don't want to encounter feral wights or the odd cop, for example, running on your heals or stalking outside of bedroom window, then you could simply live elsewhere. (I doubt this would be possible through code though; it sounds too specific.) Edit: I suppose the closest we could come to your suggestion above is a zombie slider where the player dictates the number of zombies that can spawn in one's world. Each time you adjust it a warning pop up, notifying the player of possible performance hits if their rig isn't of semi-impressive quality.
  22. I'm pretty sure I can speak for a lot of us that some inside corner filler stairs would be grand. Perhaps someday? Also, no more day 2 dog hordes would be great.
  23. 1. I have a feeling that 2021 will be much like 2020 I'm afraid. I would suggest you keep a close eye on them... from afar, of course. 2. It's on Steam? Good to know. Not fun? Good to know.
