  1. It would be cool if we could see the gloves we wear on the actual player hands in first person. It'd look badass paired with an steel sledge or a pump shotgun.
  2. Acid and beakers have become extremely rare since this update. I'm on day 67, 30 minute cycles and have only happily bought off my first beaker and two bottles of acid from a trader. You might aswell say you can take up to 100+ days to build a chemistry station at this point.
  3. Vultures are quite weak, they die to a sledgehammer power attack or a single gunshot, with the mutated ones only needing a shotgun from me, or if lucky enough they fall to a single sledge power attack aswell. They do not seem to spawn frequently in a horde for me aswell, at most 2-3 and you'll have enough time to be far away to take a stop to deal with them in a second. I never did that prior to just now. I created a choke point kill hallway at the tight stairway and grinded through them with the steel sledge triple after another, then I climbed up and went afk on the rooftop of the building to drink water in real life, while mutants kept bashing the walls, they eventually managed to dig through the roof and I jumped hopped down to get on the bicycle. that's how I accidently found out bicycles aren't broken down during bloodmoon as other vehicles. They did all run after me, but I managed to get that far away taking rhythms with full speed mode and normal, they eventually were not in sight at all, I cycled back and took circle loops around them just to keep them from despawning to farm the XP afterwards. I always keep one laying outside now as an emergency if things do not go as planned.
  4. I play on middle difficulty, feral sense active, the 4x more spawning modlet, 64 zombie count. Ferals are quite slow when using stamina to cycle faster. They'll be lagging behind you have enough time to regenerate it. Only the vultures were annoying, but you can deal with with them easily
  5. you can still use your bicycle to cheese your butt out while the horde gallops behind your back. your in fact so fast you can flame halfway through the map and sit on the open terrain for few hours before the dawn, then pick them out with the sledgehammer as most of them will be walking after that. I just did that today on a random moment after thinking they did something with the bikes next to motorized vehicles too that you cannot use them during bloodmoon Bicycle chads unite. Who needs an automobile?
  6. Yeah, some music can be a headache and I hope they make it modable. I let it turned on for the combat music because I like fighting under intense music. It got very dull in A20. I'm on day 51 and have been hearing the same drums over and over again they're echoing in my head, no matter the zombie count. Start to believe they removed the pitched drones from the track. The new bloodmoon track is eh in my opinion, not really energetic and weak of a punch. It's the same drums just in a different sound and pace. I liked the old system better where it would play the intense track with the pitched drones and drums together. It was much more intense and had cool sound effects kicking in to blow the track more up. Now this is what I call a good combat music. Don't know why they removed it and made the solo drums constant instead. Can we mod the old piece back into A20?
  7. Never had a problem in this game. I like it, it's my perfect zombie game. Only frustration sometimes can be the grind itself, finding antibiotics and certain higher tier resources. Gun parts are a pain in the ass, tool parts, acid is a pain in the ass and much more. Hours after hours of looting with minimal success, grinding resources, grinding the concrete to build your base then repair it with the resources you will be grinding again. I play for up to 12 hours a day a single session and every single mechanic in this game is burned into my brain and muscle memory that deeply I potentially have mastered everything about it, but yeah progression is slow in this game, as if it was made for NEETs who never leave their room 24/7.
  8. Some boars immediatly attack you as part of an POI. Yes, they attack you when they see you. It is working as intended generally, but what I mean is their and the dogs detection ranges are extremely poor despite playing on feral mode, making them just XP piniatas and free meat. Dogs should be able to pick you up and hear at a much further range than normal zombies, something like a smelling system if you carry meat with you. I remember they had such one system back around in an early alpha or so
  9. Dogs are completely braindead in this game, especially ones placed in POIs You can get up to them as close as 3 footsteps and they won't react in any way, not even to gunshots. Just standing idling. It's incredibly easy to sprint up and sledge them to death that way. Animals have a very, very low range of vision and hearing. You can get even closer to boars without them reacting. I don't know what's up with the animals in this game.
  10. Is it me, or am I not hearing the intense version of the dynamic combat music anymore? There would be high pitched drones playing in rhythm along with the drums if you encountered a very large amount of zombies, but all I'm hearing in A20 now is the bare drums playing. Did they remove some pieces? I'm on day 41 now and never heard it. In Alpha 19 it used to be there. It's a minor detail I noticed, though I liked it as it added more suspense to the game and I enjoy a variation in music rather than hearing the same drums over and over bashing again.
  11. That. It'd be over for german players as the country is the most soyed when it comes to violence in games. I remember they even censored TF2 for being too violent in their tastes, a child aesthetic game, so if they saw 7DtD having killable children I wouldn't want to know their reaction.
  12. It only happened once 20 minutes ago during my 11 hour life. It can still happen some time any time. I own my various amount of strategies to solve certain situations. My character is maxed out on the sledge skills and runs around with an lvl 5 stone sledgehammer. I knock down up to 3-4 clumped zeds at once and it mostly one shots to the head of normal zombies. I got used to it too much that I can't use the iron or steel sledge anymore. The speed and low stamina cost of the stone is superior in my taste. It is absolutely a monster. Fighting running hordes during the night isn't a problem anymore after the skills are put in, neither ferals.
  13. Mostly I've felt the same way. I never bothered to build a base since it will get torn down in 20 seconds anyways. I remember, in Alpha 1 to 4 I never occupied a building, instead I used to build big concrete bunkers aswell as mansions or castles on bontiful spots of the map and had my fun there running imagination free. Zombies still managed to punch in some holes, but I was easily defending the walls with the pump shotgun and wooden spikes. 95% of my playthroughs involve being a nomad and roaming through the entire map, then either by day 30 or so settle down inside a strong building and camp on the roof.
  14. Hard when you almost get infected every time you get hit. Now I'm an extremely good sledgehamme user since many years now against the zombies, though there are moments where I'll get swarmed or snuck up from behind by a silent undead. Recent playthrough, I have been infected 4 times in a row within a short period of time, despite wearing a mixed set of iron and steel armor. I almost ran out of honey (1 left out of 5) in my other save where I'm well off.
  15. Craft a sledgehammer Jump onto a car and smash the head of the dog Wasteland has also half collapsed buildings to jump on and melee from The sledgehammer is your best friend
  16. Yeah I like challenge, though with honey it feels more of like doing an chore than a challenge that I became tired, tad bored and now taking a break from the game for some time before I jump back in. Making honey more common in stumps isn't too much of a good idea, as it would be making it too easy. I've strolled through a pill store before, but haven't found anything in it yet. I haven't discovered a trader so I'm practically stuck with stumps as I don't know if I'll make it in time to a trader.
  17. around 30 tree stumps, not a single one had dropped and my back to 30% infection again it is a never ending cycle that I'm slowly considering just spawning in herbs to get it over with to spare running around for more 3 hours in a forest.
  18. Do you think honey needs to require less grind to be acquireable? For the past real life two days, I've been grinding for tree stumps to cease my infection and I can never seem to stop it completely. I have grinded out 5+ honey jars to lower my 35% infection, and at the moment I'm jumping between 2 - 10% for the reason that I have never found any honey yet and at the moment as I'm playing I've cut down 15 tree stumps in the past hours so far. And If I do, I can bring it down to 2% before I stop finding any more and it rises again, having to find even more honey now. I think this is a a bit too ridicolous having to wander 1/2 across the map and grind for hours on end just to find honey. I have found no herbal antibiotics, and there are no hospitals in my city. Honey is for me the most accessible resource at the moment.
  19. My tools were broken, I was on the run from a horde inside a small, enclosed space on the upper floor and I didn't had time to repair before I would eventually get bashed and stunned down into a corner. I believe my inventory was full during that time, maybe, I don't remember. @%$#ed me off greatly, though I calmed down to 0 after an hour. Going to try the god mode afterwards, hopefully this will work out.
  20. I accidently ate glass because I double tapped with my mouse after breaking a glass window because of a lag spike I encountered and my character ate it afterwards. I applied a first aid kit, then I quit the game as I dropped down to 9 health. This is the cheesiest stupidest @%$#ing thing that I have ever seen, being even able to eat this @%$#ed glass. I do not want to die, I'm specifically going for a 0 death run on the most hardcore settings. I'm already on day 7 and came this far, now it has been trashed like that. I do not want to weaken my gamestage or add a number to my death count. How can I give myself god mode or remove the debuff? Is there a file I can edit or a save editor? I'm not going to make it in time if I enable creative mode and join the world. The startup takes way too long, plus your locked out of the controls for a few seconds before being able to walk and I'm confident I'm going to die before I even be able to press H or whatever the shortcut for godmode was.
  21. Make trade settlements destructible and the hosts possible to be killed by zombies.
  22. Alpha 20 has been neat and all that, but as always in my gameplay taste the game is lacking zombies and thus turns it into a extremely dull hiking simulator. I've suffered from this problem since about Alpha 16 where I returned to play the game more seriously. There's just no real threat which poses to the player, considering I encounter 1-4 zombies at max, rarely at some unique events a bigger wave. POI's do not nail it unless it is an high tier rooftop area of some skyscraper at a great player level. Towns and cities to me are empty most of the time. My combat track plays very, very rarely as I steamroll through everything on my path no matter what the game throws at me. I spend the entire playthrough looting, walking and building rather than engaging in fights with enemies. It has come to the point I just scrap unread skill books due to it feeling like cheating as it would make me even more OP than before. Hordes take ages to appear, that I forgot about them. The very early alphas did in my opinion a nice job of making every zombie run towards you by 22:00, made it a tad more challenging and creepy to go out at night and them being able to suddendly start running when in dark areas. Though setting bloodmoon to every day kind of kills that special day feeling where you have to be ultimatively prepared and I can imagine it becoming dull at some point when all you see is a glowing red sky by every nightfall instead of stars accompanied with chirping sounds from the forest. I ran through the wasteland with a stone sledge and it was as empty as the green forests areas, sledging anything that movies, a dog or vulture here and there and that would be it. Is there a mod for atleast dramatically increasing zombie spawns and the amount in POIs? Increase horde spawns, more natural spawns especially in wasteland regions.
  23. Bad idea the game is already too easy as it is. I more would be for a smaller backpack size and it's more realistic that way than having it Minecraft style of being able to carry 10 5x stack water jars, resources and weapons in one backpack
  24. Dynamic music system doesn't work in A20, just me? Just silence all the time, despite it being on. no combat music, no exploration
