  1. I find it very frustrating to loot 30 bookshelves only to find 10 books. Seems like a waste of time
  2. This current map I'm using now has two cathedrals very close to each other. I usually loot the bookshelves and Hope I get a mission later. With a 20 though, I so rarely get a book from a bookshelf I've been putting it off thinking, well, if I wait later I'll have a better chance of getting a book. That may not be the case and I should go ahead and loot them anyway.
  3. In this case it didn't do me any good. When you disturb a whole room full of Z's though, it is very handy
  4. Most recent build. This is a 6K map created using this build I do not drop anything on death I finished a mission and had the return to trader indicator on my radar Got killed by a puma. This was in the snow biome Chose respawn on my bed. I was 1.7 km away My mission had return to trader. The trader indicator was on My bike location was off. I had no way to find it. I returned to the trader and finished the mission I still could not locate my bike I exited out of the game to the command line. Got back in, my bike was indicated and I returned to it. Just barely managed to get on and drive away before the puma killed me again. Lol
  5. I seriously wonder if something has changed with this new build. By the time I got to the traider I had 15 eggs and shot two chickens and one rabbit. I had a can of broth and the can of chili you start with. Since I always put one point in masterchef, I had plenty of food.
  6. Bring back the ability to run over crawlers on mini bikes or motorcycles. That never got old. I can see why they took it away but I would have taken away the ability to harm bears, pigs, and Bambi on a motorbike and left the loophole for crawlers.
  7. I went with the 2x scope and the silencer. Recoil is making the scope not as effective as I'd like and I'm going to change over to the reflex sight because that works better if you're shooting from the hip
  8. I have found fields where there's two of those damn things.
  9. Starving to death is very hard if you plan for it the right way. Every character I create three of the first four points I allocate are there just to help me survive. One goes into MasterChef, I can make bacon eggs. One goes into living off the land, when I find a plant I can eat I get two of them. One goes into lucky looter. My chances of getting an egg from a bird nest are that much greater now. My fourth point usually goes into engineering so I can build a forge. Before I start building a base, before I start missions from the trader, I make sure I get a pot. Sometimes I can loot it. Sometimes, I loot the stuff I need to make a forge and I build a pot. While I'm doing that I hunt chickens and rabbits and loot every nest I find. If I run into Bambi I have all the meat I need and all I do is loot birds nest. You need six eggs and 15 meat. Anymore I always have enough food to get by that first night. Sometime it is a little tight. And I always want to do those first missions from the traider rather than look for a pot. I've starved too many times starting out and modified my gameplay to account for it. I'm sure there's other ways.
  10. Games nowadays depend more on the GPU than the CPU. upgrading your CPU may not do you much good. Having said that, there are so many variables involved that you might see a performance increase with a CPU upgrade. With cpus, faster is better. Most of my problems I've had in the past have been memory bound. I didn't have enough memory. That's why when I got my new system 3 years ago, or is it four?, I got 32 MB of memory. I think this game is taking as much as six megabytes. I'll play it tomorrow morning and post back here and let you know. Finally it's not just the game it's other things I'm running at the same time I'm playing the game. They all use memory too. It doesn't hurt to have more memory than you need. it only hurts when you don't have enough. And I haven't priced memory lately, back when I bought it memory was cheap compared to everything else but that may have changed. The biggest single change I made that affected the overall performance is an SSD. I have an HDD that I use for backup. Everything runs off the SSD.
  11. Nothing sexual about it. I'll be riding on top of Big Mama's shoulders shoutting "High Yo Silver!" on the way to some of them 2 km away missions.
  12. The most disturbing thing in this game is when I kill a fat lady and look up her dress after she falls to the ground. Oh my God!🤮
  13. Crawlers. I hate them things. I'll drive by one on my mini bike and stop just to club it to death
  14. I looted two, TWO, pop-n-pills and didn't get any vitamins. I shot a random z, it dropped a yellow package and it had one vitamin in it. Now I have two. Lol If you want to find something the best way to find it is not to look for it
  15. I have looked for a pop and pills and I haven't found one yet. I looted that house that has all the mushrooms in the basement with the chemistry sets and I found one, I repeat one vitamin. When I went back to the trader to get the reward, he gave me a choice between some armor and two antibiotics I took the antibiotics. So I have two antibiotics, two honeys, two herbal antibiotics, nine painkillers, and one vitamin. I should go spend the night in the wasteland.
  16. To raid a Pop in pills first you must find one.
  17. I haven't had any trouble with missing vehicles. There's too damn many buzzards. Every 10 ft I got to stop and kill a f****** buzzard when I'm in the wasteland or the desert.
  18. Every time I start a new game it's always something. Every time I take damage I worry about it. So far I've just been abrased and diseased but I found some honey, painkillers, first aid kits, casks. Lots of 9mm. Seems like the game rolls some dice and decides to keep something at random that I want hidden.
