  1. Honestly upgrading won't gain you much in this game, the bottleneck is unlikely to be in the system, I spent £5,000 on a new computer, and barely got 10 to 20 fps increase in this game, it's not fully utilising the hardware at all, my GPU sits at 30% usage.
  2. I don't even get why this change was done, 75% nerf to certain blocks seems too much, it seems like another one of those "oh players have figured out a tactic that works let's get rid of it so they have nothing that really works" moves. I just don't get why, people still had to defend, use traps, use guns, had the horde coming up to them mostly in a tower style in a tower defence game. Next, it'll be "oh traps work, let's get rid of traps, perhaps guns need to just give them a tickle instead of actually shooting them"
  3. Tbh, I have a 3080 Ti, and a 5900x cpu, and am using 144Hz monitors, most games on ultra I max that out which is what I'd expect with a PC that cost the amount this did. This game though sometimes gets really low terrible FPS and stutters as it drops down. This guy did a video on it here: Something isn't right for the performance to be so similar between the hardware he tested, and I'd say the same as I upgraded from a GTX 1080, and my performance did not improve that much if at all. For some reason the game is only using about 30% CPU and about 30% GPU, so there's plenty more head room in the hardware to get more performance.
  4. I'm using the harsher death penalties from this mod now, that seems like a good system tbh - I hate the backpack staying where you died as you can end up with nothing but have to fight through a tough POI and travel miles potentially to go get it - it's just a chore, so I tend to turn that off, but these seem like a much better death penalty.
  5. oh really, i've just gotten to the tier 5 quests, but if the loot is crap, I may stick to T4 good source of brass
  6. Just so you're aware the lockable inventory slots don't seem to work in the robotic drone.
  7. Yes same here, when I first load the game I'm getting between 100 and 120 FPS on the outskirts of the city, even looking in. But after a couple of hours of play it drops to around 80 fps, also start getting stuttering even though the FPS is still in the playable range.
  8. I like the having to replant thing, makes it more of a mechanic to deal with, I also like the seed loss thing, food is a struggle now, and that's a good thing - however, I do think that there's nothing wrong with decreasing the chance of seed loss if you're spec'ing higher up into living off the land - or perhaps a book that can teach you to recover seeds better. That way there's some investment in the whole process.
  9. I thought the clothing idea was ditched as pretty much everyone hated it?
  10. Yeah I was getting good FPS, not much has changed, still in the same area, but for some reason i'm now down around 80 to 90 fps - seems like there's some kind of leak after running it for ages.
  11. Food challenge feels good too, constantly hungry, for the first time ever in SP I've put a point in animal tracker, still living off charred meat on day 3 lol.
  12. 1440p, with an RTX 3080 Ti, and a Ryzen 5900x
  13. I'm really impressed with the FPS I'm getting, this is performing far better than A19 was, and I'm playing on ultra, in the city i'm getting 120fps regularly
  14. Surely not yet, the forums haven't crashed yet lol
  15. The only real issue I've noticed so far watching youtube and the streams is the weird AI pathing, but that might already be fixed (or perhaps it's intentional but it looks bugged to me).
  16. Just watched Kage848's video on this mod, and damn I just wanted to say your UI should be in vanilla, it's frigging awesome.
