Multiplayer Bicycle Question

Me and two of my friends are playing in a game together and one of my friends crafted a bicycle. He can use it with no problem but when he places it on the ground and unlocks it for us to use we can't pick it up. If it is in a chest we can take it out and put it in a slot and take it out but we can't place it on the ground to use. I then finished quests for the trader and he gave me another bicycle as a reward. I go to put it on the ground and it won't let me. The guy that crafted the first bicycle can take my bike out of the chest and place it on the ground. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? All of this happens with the mini boke as well. Thanks in advance for your help.

That's weird. When you try to place the bicycle, do you see the bike, but it's colored red? I'm sure you've tried this, but placing the vehicles can be pretty finicky and you may have to move around to find a place where it can be placed (it will turn green). Roads are good. And you can't be next to a trader - their area is protected from any player-placed blocks/items.

 

If you can't even see the bike when you try to place it, or if it's always red even on a flat road, that sure sounds like a bug.

I can see the bike and when I try to place it on the grass, road, inside a house, or anywhere else it is red. I even walked and spammed my button thinking there would be somewhere I could place it but no good. The one guy that crafted the first bike is the only person that can place the two bikes and the one mini bike we have right now.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the land claim block and improper teaming/ally settings.

Try building a wood block platform (at least 3x3 to be safe) to place the bike on.  If that doesn't work then, yeah... bug of some kind or what @Ramethzer0 said.

in stead of him placing the bike for you to use, get him to just drop it in front of you, then when you place it its yours...i think
