HokkaidoKudzu Posted February 17, 2022 Share Posted February 17, 2022 I bought the game on October 21st 2021 when i found out it works on mac, it worked fine till the newest Update A20 (I think) and It now crashes on startup I have tried everything, Checked the integrity of the game files, uninstalled it reinstalled it, I even tried everything that Was said to do in the Support page on Steam it still crashes on startup I don't know what to do, Nor how to fix it, Having any form of help would be Grateful!! The picture you provided is useless as it shows only a small part of the crash log. And possibly there is a log from the game as well that could be posted. If the game creates a logfile before the crash, put it on pastebin and post a link to it in here. And the same for the crash log that seems to be created. Did you use the game launcher to clean your configuration when A20 arrived? If not, that is another thing you could do. It makes sure that no stuff from A19 interferes with the new alpha. Did you use mods in A19? If yes they might still be installed since steam does not touch the Mods directory at all. BFT2020 Posted February 17, 2022 Share Posted February 17, 2022 Are you using any external devices, like an external hard drive? namespace signal code 10 bus error 10 indicates a signal error related to memory allocation. This could be a potential hardware issue, but more likely something is corrupted when the game was updated from A19 to A20. However, like meganoth mentioned, without log files, we are just guessing right now. Also the backtrace would help also to try and narrow it down. HokkaidoKudzu Posted February 17, 2022 Author Share Posted February 17, 2022 I don't own any external Hard drives only the drive that came with my mac book air, I Down graded to alpha 19.6 temporarily till i can figure out where things are in terms of directories, No clue what I am supposed to be looking for in terms of log files since things Could be named differently, I am also a mainly Windows user however My old P.C died so i needed to get a new one and I picked a mac book air as a place holder till I get Enough money to buy a new gaming computer for myself. The link that Meganoth posted gives instructions on where your log files are by each operating system including Apples. Read that link, it goes step-by-step on finding and posting your logs and is in terms that even computer noobs would understand…very easy instructions. You are using an M1 mac, which doesn't work natively with Alpha 20. Starting with rosetta has helped other M1 users.
