AssassinGodz
Hi. I bought the game for Christmas and was having issues with loading to the main menu. I just figured out today that the reason why is because the Epic Online Services appears to be having issues, it isn't connecting or something. To make this issue worse, for some reason the "Play Offline" button is greyed out, not letting me play the game solo, which was my original intent anyway. In case it matters, I bought the game on Steam, and this is also for the most recent stable build, I think, I didn't mess with anything in the properties. Star69
Have you tried excluding your 7 Days folder from your antivirus? It may be blocking the EOS connection. If it already is excluded, post your log file using pastebin so we can take a look at it.
AssassinGodz
I am still having issues, and I don't know what log file you're talking about, so you may need to walk me through this.

Beelzybub
3 hours ago, AssassinGodz said: "Play Offline" button is greyed out Usually this is because Steam is not running. Even if you are disconnected from the internet, you need to have Steam running in offline mode to run 7 Days to Die.
AssassinGodz
That is not an issue seeing as I'm logged into steam actively. Green border around my profile pic and everything.

What does the text above the greyed out "Play Offline" say? Also, your log file in the 7DaystoDie_Data folder should tell you what the problem is. AssassinGodz
The full error is Epic Online Services Login Could not Initialize Epic Online Services: Unknown issue, please report on forums: Unexpectederror I did just make a pastebin of the last launch. https://pastebin.com/09LdK3Py Edited January 1, 2022 by AssassinGodz One to many words (see edit history)
Star69
Something is blocking your internet connection to EOS, did you exclude your 7 Days folder from your antivirus program like I suggested before? Your log errors are very typical of your antivirus blocking that connection.
AssassinGodz
Yes, I excluded it, I have stated this already. What I do not understand is why this is also preventing me from playing single player, in an offline game. Here, I made a second pastebin as well, another file, this one I can also assure has the exclusion in play, on the off chance the previous one didn't have it applied for some reason. https://pastebin.com/ayJw9ixw Edited January 2, 2022 by AssassinGodz Forgot to add pastebin link (see edit history)

AssassinGodz
As far as I am seeing, that link opened instantly, as normal 7 Days to Die also appears to be allowed through my firewall, so unless it's using some other app to communicate, that isn't the issue. If it does use some other app, we may have found our culprit. Thought that doesn't appear to be it either as there isn't much not being let through my firewall when it comes to apps
AssassinGodz
With the help of a friend, we found the issue. I needed to keep my damn computer up to date. I am not able to play the game.
