  1. Yes that one is tough to read as it's all run together rather than separated by lines. Picking through it there are a ton of poi errors though it's difficult to see which poi's are suspect. If it were a vanilla game, I'd suggest verifying files twice which would fix any vanilla poi errors but since you have custom poi's it would be more difficult to root out. A tedious process would be to start over, add one poi at a time and do tier one quests then try to go to tier two. If no errors then add another poi. It just might be something isn't configured correctly on your custom poi's.

Just reinstalled game after half a year or even more. Brand new system. 12900k/4080/32Gb DDR5 Ram & game installed on brand new Samsung Gen 4 980 Pro. Stuttering is all over the place, and happens randomly. Be it while in combat, or just while using mouse and changing camera angles. I had same stuttering again before a year with my old pc with 2070s+10900k. It's me? I don't think so. Friend of mine with Ryzen 7800 xd3+6900 xt, just bought the game 2 days ago. Guess what: EXACT same stuttering issues. And it's happening not only in coop, but in both of us even while offline.  My mate alrdy refunded it at least (Steam). What can i do?  I'm playing everything else (2077/RDR2, etc) in my native resolution (3840x1600) JUST FINE and maxed out, expect 7DTD. So, either i'm forced to play it Minecraft style with 1024x768 resolution and everything in low, and/or  keep waiting another 10 years and buying RTX 10090 Ti, to have an actual decent performance?  Fix your game TFP, please.

I’m running a 5950x and a 3090 @ 4k resolution with all items maxed except I turned off shadows, reflections & occlusion. I get a steady 140 fps which will drop to 80 on horde night with 4 players. I have zero stutters, none at all. You should play with the settings a bit. Shadows and reflections are brutal on a system and I don’t like how occlusion looks like.

  3. I don't know your knowledge on server setup so I'll start with simplicity. Personally, I would leave litenetlib active as it allows better connectivity with lower latency. You have both disabled so I would enable litenetlib. You have assigned the server port as 26900 which is the default. Using this port means that you need to forward the following ports on your router:  TCP 26900 and UDP 26900-26903. If those ports are correctly forwarded, your server should show up on the server browser list and you should be able to join your server. You also mentioned that you determined your external IP address via whatsmyip, you can verify that by looking at your server info in the server browser. My overall suspicion is that there is a problem with the port forwarding for whatever reason. Some routers are notorious for not doing this task correctly so I would google your router model and port forwarding and see what others have said. Lastly, there are certain ISPs that do not allow customers to forward ports on their equipment so that you need to call them and have them forward the ports.

  4. I would put a ticket in with the server provider. As a renter, they don’t allow you to remove entries from the command line so any non-functioning item must be remedied by the server provider. They do some sort of edit protection to those lines. I rent from Bluefang and they do not have the password set in the command line so I set it in the serverconfig.xml. It has to be a syntax issue on their end or they accidentally extended the edit-protection to include the actual password.

  5. You really need to post a copy of your entire output log to get any idea what’s causing your crashing in mp. In the pinned topic: https://community.7daystodie.com/topic/3956-how-to-report-an-issue-please-read-before-creating-new-threads/ are instructions on how to locate the log file and how to use pastebin.com to post a link to the log rather than posting log here due to how big those files can be causing us a crazy amount of scrolling.

I could be wrong, but it does actually sound like you're talking out of your butt, lol. From my understanding, CPUs either work or they don't.

I’m extremely new to overclocking but lurking on some oc forums trying to educate myself, they tend to make a big deal on the values of individual cores and how important they are. I haven’t done any testing with games with/without oc but I’ve always wondered if there were noticeable game performance changes with a low performing core. Sounds like that answer might be no.

  7. Here’s another thought…..what if the cores he is using for 7 Days, one or two of the cores are not good? Having subpar performance on some cores is a possibility. I think we can all agree that this game is mainly cpu-dependent so if a core or two isn’t working optimally then this could be a part of the problem. Running diagnostics to check core performance wouldn’t be a bad idea. Or I’m talking out of my @ss lol.

  8. For OP’s issue, the problem is playing using a wifi connection instead of an ethernet cable. There is so much data traveling back & forth between your pc and the server that by using a wifi connection can cause loss of data. It’s not a game problem but is a user problem. I believe I’ve heard it explained as wifi is half duplex while ethernet connection is full duplex. Many games you can play using wifi just fine but 7 Days is an exception.

  9. Unfortunately, from the log it looks like your player profile is corrupted. This can happen from multiple causes. Examples are power fluctuation/failure resulting in losing connection to the server, killing the game while still connected to the server, the server rebooting or shut down while you’re still connected to the server as well as several other reasons. Your friend will need to go into the Save folder and delete the 3 files associated with your profile then do as @Beelzybub suggested with the creative menu and givexp command to get your levels, items and books back as best as you can remember. The only other option is to start a new seed.

  10. In one of the pinned topics that @SylenThunder wrote, there are links to the various antivirus software including Avira, on how to create exclusions. Unfortunately, the link for Avira no longer contains that info as Avira probably changed their website. Maybe since I flagged Sylen, maybe it can be fixed.

Here is a simple thing to try:  run the command prompt as Administrator. Type   Tacert ‘IP address of the server’    Put the ip address of the server you are trying to connect to, remove the quotes. Post the results. This should confirm whether the problem is with you or if it is your internet.

Also, post your log because there may be hints in that log.

  11. We are going to need more info to help. It definitely sounds like a connection issue but that can be caused by many things. So here is the info needed, others may chime in wanting other info:

    1) post a copy of your output log. Copy the log, paste it at pastebin.com & post the link here. Step by step instructions for finding the log & using pastebin.com are in the pinned topics above.

    2) all about your internet…..name of ISP, type of modem and router, whether you are wired or wireless and whether you use a VPN or not.

I learn something new everyday. This makes so much sense & definitely a huge quality of life improvement for server operators.

  13. For me, the biggest trigger for buggy quests is when you and one of your friends are holding a quest for the same building, that seems to get missing quest starters or unable to activate the quest. Another is if you grab quests from multiple traders that are very close to each other and you are holding two quests for the same building. Other than that I haven't run into missing zombie so I've been lucky there.

  14. Looks like your player profile is corrupted on the server. Whoever is admin will need to delete the 3 player files associated with you. They are located in the Players folder inside of the Saves folder. When you connect after that, you will be back at level one so the admin will need to give you admin permissions so that you can use the giveselfxp command to get your levels back and use the creative menu to get your stuff back.

  15. If port sniffers aren’t doing what they are meant to do, how do you verify if the ports are actually open? I’ve read multiple accounts of certain routers that don’t actually forward the ports the traditional way(config the router software to forward,  says they are forwarded but really not) and need to do some convoluted process to actually get them forwarded.
