I had that happen to me frequently and it turned out to be a bad ethernet cable,  even though my cable tester said it was fine. Swap out a new cable and see if it’s fixed.

I’ve been using Bluefang for several years. Their support is top notch and the hardware they use is great. I don’t have any experience with other companies.

[Server Disconnected You]

Your logs confirmed that the tcp connection is timing out. Besides switching to an ethernet connection the only other option is to make sure that you are not running any network optimizing software, like Asus Gamefirst or others like it. I guess a bad router could do it but the one thing that I am positive of is that it is network related, my bet is wifi. It doesn’t matter what your speed is, it’s the fact that, as I said before, wifi is half duplex.

Your links are broken so we cannot see your logs. As a general rule, though, it is not recommended to play this game over wifi due to it being a half duplex connection so data is restricted. A great test for you would be to run an ethernet cable to the router and see if your problem is solved. I know in some cases how much of a pia it is to run ethernet cables though.

Can you try joining and playing on a different server? This will help determine if the problem is the server or if it is you. It appears to be a connection issue. Requests to the tcp port of the server did not respond. Also your profile on the server now corrupted which could have happened from the connection issue.

I honestly don’t know. I typed them in my response so that someone more knowledgeable than me could comment on them because I’ve never seen them after reading countless log files. I’m hoping for your sake they are meaningless entries that are new to A21 log files.

It was fixed for A20 but returned in A21 much to the dismay of my teammates. They find it not so funny that I laugh uncontrollably as they go flying into walls. I will miss it once they fix it again.

Like @SylenThunder said, your log shows the issue is in your player profile. If you bring up the game launcher, select Tools tab and check all of the boxes then click Clean. Exit out of that then verify the integrity of the games files and run it at least twice so Steam can find any corrupted files and downloads intact files. There are a couple of other warnings in your log that I do not know if they are important: Device name for Standalonewindows is unknown and another one is [Steam] Tick took too exceptionally long:38ms which showed up twice.

A couple of questions for you: did you upgrade the server from A20 to A21 without wiping A20? We would see this issue when people just updated an A19 server instead of wiping A19 and install a fresh A20. Could you post a current A21 server log using pastebin.com?

Most, if not all, issues that players are having can be solved by looking at your output log file. How to find the file and how to post it using pastebin.com are explained in the pinned topic that was in @SylenThunder reply. There are a few issues that can be answered without seeing the log but it’s always easier to start with the log.

Unofficially, yes. Lots of people mentioning this in other threads and I’ve experienced it myself.

[exception when connecting to server]

On the server, go to Saves/world name/seed name/players. In the are eos files, 3 for each. Your eos number is assigned & noted in the servers output log for each player. The server admin needs to delete the 3 files associated with your eos. The server does not need to be stopped to do this so it can be done on the fly. When you join next, you will be starting over at level 1. The server admin can give you your inventory back using the creative menu and can give your levels back using the givexp command(I think that’s the correct command, someone correct me if I’m wrong).

I mine rocks & clay all night to make cobble for upgrading wood block for my base. I need roughly 7000 cobble for the size of my base and another 5000 cobble to upgrade wood bars for the perimeter fence.

Since you have tried reinstalling the game and it didn't work, I would do what @meganoth suggested and clean everything. Install the latest version A20.7. Bring up the game launcher, select Tools tab and check all of the boxes then hit Clean. After that, verify the integrity of the game files by right clicking 7 Days to Die in Steam, select properties/local files then click verify integrity of game files. Do this no less than 2 times. Now run the game and create a new seed and you should be good to go.

Okay, it seems as if your memory is in good shape. Let's see if it might be video driver related. Download DDU from here: Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 18.0.6.4 (guru3d.com).  Install it then run it while in safe mode as administrator. This will completely remove all traces of your video drivers. Then grab the latest drivers directly from Nvidias website.

 

If a clean install of video drivers does not help, then my next guess is to stress test your cpu and check out your power supply. You can use Prime95 to stress your cpu. I'm not sure what you can use to check your power supply. I always have a second power supply laying around so I usually will swap one out. Let us know how things go.

Also, you could check the Event Viewer in Windows to see if Windows recorded the shutdown. Abrupt shutdown of the game with no note in the log ‘could’ point to something outside of the game itself, anywhere from corrupted drivers, faulty ram module or even Microsoft screwing up something through one of their updates.

[How to optimize the server while playing with friends.]

A side note, if you trust your friends not to cheat, turning EAC off will improve server performance as well. Everyone should be playing with an ethernet connection and not wireless. There’s too much info being passed over the internet with this game to make playing via wireless an option.

Getting disconnected from a server has not been a big issue for people. Best thing to do is posting a copy of your client log file and, if possible, the server log file. Instructions how where to find the logs and how to use pastebin to post the log are in the pinned topic: https://community.7daystodie.com/topic/3956-how-to-report-an-issue-please-read-before-creating-new-threads/. Without seeing your log, my only suggestion is making sure that you have created exclusions for the game & saves folders in your antivirus software. Also, if you are running any network optimizing software, disable it and try playing. Thirdly, be sure you aren’t trying to play using wifi. However, it’s best if you post a log.

 

["TO Be or Not To Be" that is the question]

I, personally, have not modded the vanilla game other than simple xml edits. However, I was once addicted to COD: Modern Warfare and I really, really wanted some mods made for stuff that I and a few friends wanted to try. My solution, I befriended a really good modder in the forums. We talked a lot about what we wanted and he said it would take some work but could be done. Also, what really helped it along is that we offered to slide him some cash for his trouble. It wasn't a big sum of money but this guy had been recently unemployed and so it was a win-win situation.....we got the mod we wanted and he got a little cash.  Now something like this may not be for everyone however it does show there are ways available to get what you desire.
