Read the pinned tooic about reporting bugs. At a minimum, post your log file using pastebin so we can see what the game is doing to make this happen. Without it, no one can help.

There is a folder called Mods in your 7 Days directory that may or may not be deleted depending how you uninstall your game. Just delete that folder if it’s still there. I’ve never used mods myself so hopefully Unholy Joe’s suggestion will fix it.

There is a file access violation……I’m pretty sure this only happens if you haven’t excluded Steam folder from your antivirus program. If there’s another cause, someone else will comment I'm sure.

I’m glad it’s resolved. When you double click on 7 Days to play, the option pops up if you want the game launcher or not. Most people ignore that popup but it’s there every time you start the game through Steam and that’s how you access the game launcher

That's great....I'm glad you didn't need to reinstall the game so huge thanks to BFT2020!!

That sux....you probably won't like my suggestion so I'd wait a bit to see if someone else has any ideas but I'd do a clean uninstall/install of the game. Bring up the game launcher, select the Tools tab, select Clean Game Data and check everything and hit Clean. Then uninstall the game. Before installing again, be sure under Betas that you have checked Latest Experimental-unstable then when it's installed, only A20 gets installed. Once installed, verify files twice just in case. It should solve your problem since A20 worked for you before. Downside is the time it takes and you'll lose your saves. Good luck!

Try turning off dynamic mesh in your video settings and see if that helps.

At the top of the page is a pinned topic called Support FAQs. The directions for migrating saves is in there.

Does the game start up long enough to generate a log file? If so paste it here using pastebin. Also be sure your Steam folder is excluded from your antivirus program. Lastly, be sure that you have the latest version of Microsoft Visual C Distributables installed. Do those things and see if it helps.

The last log you posted still showed mods so they are definitely still loading.

Yeah I don’t see anything in the log this time so let’s approach it from a different direction. When you installed A20, did you ‘clean’ all remnants of A19? Per the blue banner at the top of the page, before installing A20 you should bring up the game launcher and check everything on the second tab. After that, uninstall 7 Days. Reinstall 7 Days but be sure latest experimental-unstable is checked so you only install A20. Once installed, verify files twice. I’d be quite surprised if that doesn’t fix your issue since removing the mods didn’t help. I’m suspicious of some A19 files remaining causing A20 to be borked for you.

I just wanted to contribute my similar experience.
Server logs: https://pastebin.com/JrrKtmBz
Client logs: https://pastebin.com/vcyuCihr
I have been falling through the map at certain points. You can easily tell there is a rendering issue that creates some sort of boundary. Crossing the boundary on a minibike and slowly start to fall until you back out. Enter on your feet and you fall to oblivion, then respawn on the surface with no input controls working at all. Ping has nothing to do with it. I am running this server in a VM on a server on my local home network so there is little to no latency.
Here's a clip:
A couple of things…..the server is showing EAC connection issues. That can be just a temporary thing and fix itself. The alternative is to run your server with EAC off which is good and bad. Turning it off improves server performance but also you’d me more susceptible to players using cheats.
The client file shows errors with the new dynamic mesh system. Turn off dynamic mesh in your video settings and see if that helps with falling through the map.

Sorry that didn’t help. The next thing I’d look into is whether you have the latest version of Microsoft Visual C Distributables installed. This fixed crashes in a bunch of people. I only say it because in the errors, some of the files are Microsoft dll files. For Visual C, I believe there is a 2022 version released. It’s worth a shot. I really hope it helps you.

Off the top of my head, no. Read the pinned topic about reporting bugs. Most important is to post your log file using pastebin. Most likely the cause is in there.

That dynamic mesh is new but still rough. It would be the first thing I’d turn off if you’re having performance issues with A20 when you didn’t have with A19.

Having this problem on pingperfect. how did you fix this?
It was a mixing of A19 and A20 files. You need to submit a ticket to Pingperfect saying that there are A19 remnant files in your A20. They should wipe your server and install only A20. Since there were several hosting companies with this issue, I wonder if their source files were mixed. Anyway, I’d guess it’d be worked out by now.

Lots of mods. Try removing the mods and play a game with vanilla settings. If your game works then, add in one mod at a time to figure out which mod is causing the problem.

Try removing your mods first then try to generate the same world. It’s possible the mods are interfering with generation.

I “think” F11 is the key Steam chose for screenshots. If so, that isn’t a 7 Days issue but a Steam issue.

Are there some tall buildings or skyscrapers in the direction you’re looking when the fps drops? If so, that’s a known issue that they are working on.

Hello,
There is a crash problem again. It happens randomly, without a specific pattern. Sometimes the game runs for an hour, sometimes after 20 minutes there is the first crash. The installation is fresh on a new location (new drive). I am pasting log files. If additional information is needed, please fill in.System: Windows 10 Ent
Game type: SPhttps://pastebin.com/NHXK8e61 - log file
https://pastebin.com/krXh06wE - error
A couple of things to note, your save is corrupted and that could have occurred because you crashed. The crash seems to have happened due to an file access violation. So what caused the access violation?? First thing to try is make sure that your Steam folder is excluded from your antivirus. Verify your game files twice. Lastly, start a new game and see if it still crashes. Hopefully someone else will jump in and give more info.

Several things:
1) post system specs
2) post your log using pastebin
3) verify your game files…twice
If you need help with any of the above, read the pinned thread about how to report bugs and it should walk you through it.

Tried loading game without any mods and that didn't help. Still level 1. Forgot to mention in my last post that I tried running the game with EAC off and that didn't help either.
Have you excluded Steam from your antivirus? Sometimes antivirus programs can prevent access to files.

An option to try is to either turn off dynamic mesh or set it to claim block only. This setting is in the third tab of video settings. This has helped a lot of folks with fps tanking around the skyscrapers.
