  1. Okay, I don’t see any issues with your log at all. The server log…..lots of chunk errors. Unfortunately, it does not record the process of requesting a quest but I did see at some point you reset the quests, I’m assuming to try and get another quest to show up. I have to assume it is one of the mods having done this….there are 8 mods loaded. The only way to fix this is a tedious task. You need to wipe the server and start over a vanilla game, using the same seed name. Go in that game and verify that you are getting all the quests. Then you install one mod at a time, verifying after each install that the quests are okay. Eventually you should find the offending mod. Your current seed is corrupted and the 2 things that cause this are directly and indirectly caused by mods. Mods or combo of certain mods can make changes to the game to corrupt the seed or mods create issues that cause the server to crash thereby corrupting the seed. If you’re lucky, it was a server crash and reinstalling all fresh files will fix things for you. Good luck!

  2. It looks like your player save is corrupted. How that happened, I can’t tell you for sure but I know it can happen if you crash while on the server or the server crashes. Unfortunately, to fix it, the server admin must delete your player file. At that point, you are starting over with a new character. To get you where you were, the admin would to give you the items that you remember having and give you the xp to get you back the levels that you had.

If I’m wrong or there’s a different solution, someone else will reply.

  3. Looks like you have A19 files mixed in with A20. If you are not hosting a game with friends, you won't lose anything except time fixing this. Bring up the game launcher, select Tools tab and check every box then hit clean. Go into 7 Days directory and delete the Mods folder if there is one. Uninstall the game. Before you reinstall, be sure that you're opted into Latest Experimental-unstable version. This allows only A20 files to be installed. ****This process will delete any saved games from single player and any saved games if you host the game for friends!!****  If you really want to save a particular seed, move that folder before the clean process. If you got this error in a game you were hosting, I'm not sure it can be fixed although maybe someone else will have an idea if you can.

  4. It has always been an issue while playing a multiplayer game but I agree that it seems worse with A20. I’m primarily a melee player and it seems I’m getting hit from 6 feet away. In fact, if the zombie and I swing simultaneously, the zombie hits while I miss. Now the question is whether it’s zombie reach or if it’s netcode. I don’t think it’s nearly as bad when you play single player. I know the developers are aware of it, I just figured it was a low priority problem that will eventually get fixed. Still, it doesn’t stop me from yelling “NO F***IN’ WAY YOU COULD HIT ME!!!” lol

I am not the server owner.

Not sure what you mean by mod installed.

I am not the server ower. I have not installed any mod. The server is listed as "vanilla file" on. Yet stuff like UI and backpack size are different than when I play single player.

There is a mod(s) installed on the server then and it may be the cause of your issue. I’d suggest trying another server to see if you run into that problem again.

  6. Other than cleaning the data like Unholy Joe demonstrated above, then uninstall the game. Before reinstalling the game be sure you’re opting in to A20 then install. This assures that you have zero A19 files. If you really want to be thorough, after uninstalling, remove all folders that are named 7 Days to Die and The Fun Pimps. You’ll find them in your Steam folder as well as App Data ->I think Roaming or it could be Low. You can also search your registry and delete anything named 7 Days to Die or the Fun Pimps. After that install a fresh copy of A20.

Day 3: found 6 acid in loot.

RNG loves me so far this game, I found the workbench recipe, chemstation recipe (twice) on day 2/3.

Now I have the acid buuuuttt..... no beakers. yet.

Last game, it was day 20 before I found the chemstation schematic, and barely had the acid to make it.

    (beakers yes, acid no)

5 traders I was checking every 3 days. None had acid after day 1 (when I didn't buy any)

Maybe we should merge seeds….found a beaker at 11am day 1 lol.

  8. I've seen a few trader issues since the last update but in all cases, people were trying to continue the same save from before the update. The developers said there can be unforeseen issues if you don't start a fresh game with each update in experimental. If it happens with a new game, then it's definitely a bug.

  9. Your error is blow, hopefully someone can explain this:

    1. Very high penalty applied. Are you sure negative values haven't underflowed?
    2. Penalty values this high could with long paths cause overflows and in some cases infinity loops because of that.
    3. Penalty value applied: 4294963436

  10. Pretty much the same error as before, pointing to a bunch of Microsoft files including from Windows Defender. Did you update Visual C? Have you excluded your Steam folder from Windows Defender? Other than those 2 things, I’m out of ideas. Maybe someone else will offer some other ideas.

  11. Looks like your save is corrupted. It could have been corrupted when you crashed the first time but that crash isn’t in the log. Every time you start the game it overwrites the log of the previous start. You have 2 options: delete the save and start over or read the pinned topic Support FAQS and there’s a section on how to try fixing your corrupted save. Whichever you do, the next time you crash, move a copy of the log file to your desktop before restating the game so it isn’t overwritten and post that log here.
