  1. Line 1490 almost halfway through the first log. Right after that reload is when players started dropping out with from EAC. EDIT: the second log is showing warnings that in other cases have turned out to be some A19 files mixed in with A20 files but I could be wrong but here's the warnings pulled from the second log: 2022-01-16T23:31:22 7998.075 WRN No chunk for position 606, 62, 175, can not add childs to pos 606, 62, 176! 2. Whenever I reinstall the server (which is a rented dedicated server), I backup a copy of the serveradmin.xml and serverconfig.xml as well as any xml that I’ve modified. Then I wipe all files including any saves, perform an install then delete the newly generated versions of the xml’s I’ve backed up and then upload the backed up xmls. If I’m doing this because of a new version update, I go over the new and backed up xmls looking for any changes. In your case, I’d do exactly the same thing, compare the backup to the new generated xml to be sure there are no syntax errors. If you are using a separate computer in your house to run the dedicated, I’d recommend uninstalling and cleaning your folders as explained in by clicking on the blue banner at the top of the forum. I honestly don’t know if this will help in your case because I’m really not sure why this is happening in the first place. This could be a Windows issue, software issue, internet issue etc. instead of a 7 Days issue but I don’t know what else to advise. If you do this clean reinstall and you still see the disconnects, at least you’ll have ruled out 7 Days as the cause and will then move on to other possibilities. Let us know if it works or not.
  3. Yes you are correct as to how it works. There is a pinned topic above dedicated to people listing good seeds, I’d start there.
  4. Use a web-based port scanner to make sure all of the needed ports are open/forwarded. A list of the ports needed are listed above. Make sure your game folder is excluded from your antivirus/antimalware software. Be sure you don’t have any background software that monitors/adjusts network traffic like Asus Game First. If you still are having an issue after doing all of these things, start a new thread and post your server and client logs using pastebin.
  5. When a server is started, one of the early steps is to load the serveradmin.xml so that the server can set parameters in that xml. So why is the server randomly reloading the xml? It’s almost as if the server loses connection. It isn’t rebooting because the only thing that actually happens is reloading that xml, no other boot up procedures. Hopefully, someone else has some ideas. I’d hate to see you have to uninstall/reinstall the server but that’s the only thing I can think to try and fix this. As SylenThunder mentioned, there are no errors in the logs. I really don’t think EAC or EOS are causing this as neither would have the ability to reload an xml. If there were incorrect settings in that xml then it should show an error.
  6. I see where in the log it’s happening but there is no error listed. The server just reloads serveradmin.xml then everyone gets booted by EAC for having invalid login info. The players are prohibited from reconnecting for 2 minutes by rule. Very odd. I’m assuming you have a stable internet connection with the speed and bandwidth to run the server?
  7. In my opinion, your save is corrupted. In this pinned topic above, there is a section for attempting to repair a corrupted save. I'd attempt this and see if it works for your situation. SUPPORT FAQ: Information and Common Solutions - General Support - 7 Days to Die
  8. It is a confirmed bug and the fix is coming in A20.1.
  9. I haven't experienced this myself. Could your mouse right-click button be failing? Is there another game with right-click ADS'ing that you can see if it also happens with or a different mouse to switch out? There are two options for ADS(weapon aiming), Hold and Hold and Toggle. With it set to Hold, as long as the default mouse right-click is held down you'll be aiming; with Hold and Toggle you click right mouse button and it stays aimed until you click it again. I just tested Hold and Toggle and it stayed aimed for a full 2 minutes until I stopped. I guess you could try some compressed air in the right button or try assigning it to the middle mouse button instead of right click button.
  10. There are several wikis that list all of the commands but a quick way is to type help in the console and it’ll list all of the available console commands.
  11. Post your log using pastebin. Consult the pinned topic above for instructions.
  12. It is automatically saved after generated. In order to play the map, go to start a new game and cycle through game names to find it. You’ll need to remember what game seed it was assigned. For example, if your seed was “ThisGameRox” and you go to generate, it will tell you that the name is Tykeo County or something like that. So when you cycle the seed names Tykeo County should be a choice. I hope this makes sense.
  13. Looks like his player data got corrupted. As you can see the game attempts to spawn him and the spawn location can’t be read properly. You will need to delete his player files and he will then start over. You can use admin commands to give him back the experience and items to get him back near where he was before the problem. Here is the pertinent line in the log: 2022-01-14T20:56:59 6918.069 WRN Spawned entity with wrong pos: [type=EntityPlayer, name=[BM8] Rebelodicus, id=50183] id=50183 pos=(0.0, 0.0, 0.0)
  14. Remove both mods and see if fps remains that low. I haven't seen any reports of anyone else seeing fps drops while mining. Just because a mod has been updated to A20, doesn't mean it isn't the problem. However, if mining in a vanilla game results in bad frame rate then there is an issue. As for mining, I assume you mean iron/coal/nitrate or lead and not ethereum as ethereum is not in the game. If vanilla mining is fine, I'd post about it in the mod forums as those folks would likely have the answer that you need. EDIT: well I'm dumb, ethereum as in crypto mining......yes it will devastate your game performance
  15. The only other suggestion for city frame rates is to either turn dynamic mesh off or set it to land claim. This is the first version of dynamic mesh system so it’ll need some tweaking to get it working better.
  16. This is a known bug and there is hopefully a fix coming for this when A20.1 gets released.
  17. Very, very odd….was really betting on the ram. Like SylenThunder mentioned, can you post your output log from your last crash? Maybe there’s something there that will give some clues. I haven’t heard of blue screen error just due to 7 Days, blue screens while playing 7 Days has always uncovered some hardware or driver issue. I’m quite puzzled at this point. What was the other game that you played where you had issues?
  18. I see this a lot….people who lose power while playing get corrupted player files or saves. I’m assuming it’s due to the constant updating of information to the player profile and when that updating is abruptly interrupted, the data can become corrupt. I don’t know if it’s avoidable or not, a programmer would need to chime in but I’m guessing that it’s because 7 Days is a voxel game and the amount of data being written is tremendous.
  19. Lol, this was an uncommon occurrence in A19 but in A20 it seems to happen a lot. I’m hoping to see a fix in A20.1. I’m guessing that vehicles dropping below ground, traders dropping and turrets dropping below ground are all being caused by the same issue. Hopefully Fatal can figure out a fix.
  20. In a way, I hope memtest comes back with something, at least you’ll have an answer to your frustrating issue. I, personally, have gotten defective brand new ram, a real good quality Corsair stick. Fortunately, it was an easy rma under warranty. I tried googling your issue and the most popular reason is faulty display drivers but you said you updated those. Did you do a clean install? I use Geforce Experience to do a clean install with every new version that comes out. I’m just tossing out ideas but it seems you’ve considered most of them. Any bloatware or any other unnecessary software running in the background?
  21. I have no experience with Windows 11 but you stated you’re having the same issue with Windows 10 so it shouldn’t matter. Have you run memtest or the built-in windows memory management tool? You could possibly have some ram issues. Is your swap file set to let Windows manage it? It’s best to let Windows take care of it. Since you’ve changed os to try and work through this, I doubt corrupted system files are the issue but it wouldn’t hurt to run the scan especially if your ram checks out fine. You’ve updated video drivers which is good, hopefully you’ve scanned for malware. I’m betting your ram is the issue. Be sure to open your case and make sure that somehow your ram sticks are seated properly. Maybe someone else will chime in with some other suggestions.
  22. The stickied topic at the top of the forum lists all the ports you need to forward: https://community.7daystodie.com/topic/3998-support-faq-information-and-common-solutions/ Be sure to use an online port checker to confirm that the ports are actually open. Sometimes ports don’t open as expected.
  23. My first guess is your antivirus is blocking the sharing and is also causing the EOS warnings showing in your log. Try excluding your 7 Days to Die folder from your antivirus/antimalware software. If that doesn’t fix it, be sure 7 Days has full access through your firewall. Let us know if it helps.
  24. Here are tutorials that Roland put together and there is one for electrical traps and will show you everything you’ll need: https://community.7daystodie.com/topic/3933-7-days-to-die-tutorials/ Edit: link disappeared, odd.
  25. First off, I’m not a developer nor am I on the support team….I’m just a player like you volunteering my time trying to help fellow players with problems running a game we all love to play. Everyone else who has had your issue of locking up when generating a map it turned out to be a memory issue. Currently players have reported up to 24gigs of ram are used in map generation and there is a bug where that ram is not released when generation is done. So it’s natural to ask about your ram, also others had the issue with swap files not being managed by windows. I’m also not an IT person and memtest is what I’ve used for the past 25 years to explore my own ram issues. If there are better ram tests out there, I’m not aware, but would be eager to learn new stuff. Your log records everything the game does/attempts to do and if a bug appears, and there are many, it records it. As I said before, there are no errors in your log, the game is reporting no issues. In a piece of software that is cpu-intensive and ram-intensive, it is going to put strain on hardware. Could your issue be a bug?? Sure, but with no errors how do we figure it out? By checking everything we can including hardware, waiting for others with your same issue and trying to find a common theme. The more info that we get, the more likely someone will figure out a solution. Maybe someone else will have some ideas for you.
