  1. I had to patch the DLL. That sounds like the correct option.
  2. Ok, Subquake pointed out something I missed. So all cvars for action skills have now been converted to LOCAL instead of networked. That means less data being sent to the server, so it will hopefully minimize the Creating Player issue. Threw up a test build, XML only, in the discord server for anyone brave enough to try it out.
  3. Being a bit blunt, tell TFP. I haven't messed with anything on the server side, other than patching the DLL with my various mods otherwise you wouldn't be able to connect. It's absolutely a vanilla issue and mods make it worse. Whatever they did to the dedi network code... it's made it WAY worse. I've basically done everything I can to minimize it and I'm washing my hands of dedi issues as of this point. It's not worth the stress headache.
  4. 1) TIme is not supposed to be on the map. 2) Seems to be a 17.1 bug in general, but I've only seen it on servers. Logging out fixed it there, no idea on single player.

  6. Darkness Falls V2.01 is now on GitHiub, which means you can use your launchers to update. Patch notes as follows. - Cvar tracking removed from weapons and transferred to buffs. This helps with the creating player bug, but does not fix it. - Hunter and Survivalist quests changed to Gather Shiv instead of Craft Shiv to help with a rare NRE. - Animal Snare and Chicken Coop now have the right loot lists. - Butchering Tools had a max level of 1. Should have been 2. - Bowl of Water can now be crafted in the campfire. - Scavenging now works a little better. It also levels up from using the wrench to disassemble things. - New food and drink items should show how much food and drink they give. - Fixed the winchester rifle perk not unlocking the winchester rifle gun. - Stone axe should now power attack. - Removed time from the map because that was supposed to be a thing. - Changed the FIRST class quest of every class to reward items in a different way to prevent NRE's. - Hornet doesn't get a tomahawk missile stuck in it now. - Zombie corpses now persist for 120 seconds instead of 5 to help with gore blocks in dungeons. - Gore blocks eventually disappear on their own. Approx 10 mins on 60 min days. - Clothing now shows how many backpack slots it unlocks. - Potato seed changed to always_unlocked due to it sometimes not unlocking for some reason. - Wheel's were missing a recipe, which has now been added and is mechanic-specific. - Mining Tools action skill wasn't applying bonuses due to incorrect tag. It now has the right tag. - Advanced Forge now fixed and working. - Bow weapons changed from 1 level to 2 levels, because that's what it should've been. - Carry slots unlocked by strength now unlock properly. - Scrap pickaxe sell value adjusted to be in-line with other scrap tools - Scrap tool durability readjusted to be higher than stone but lower than iron. - Stone hammer set to same durability as other stone tools. - Serrated and Tempered Blade can now be installed on spears, except stone. - Changed blunderbuss to needing scrap iron for repair. - Increased blunderbuss damage from 11 to 25 so it's the same as stone arrows. - Mortar and Pestle disabled in the Advanced Forge as a temp fix for the "flashing" issue. - Iron and Titanium Spears can be scrapped.
  7. Vehicles are entities, so you need debug mode and F6.
  8. Probably, I thought you meant manu's vehicle mods. The A17 vehicles are in the mod. Bicycle and Minibike can be unlocked by anyone. The motorbike and 4x4 are mechanic mastery vehicles. So they're there.
  9. The base game already has a 2 person vehicle and I removed the gyrocopter because I felt it was overpowered...
  10. No but I fixed it in the next build. You can get them from the tyres in the road by wrenching them.
  11. I... actually have no idea. If you're only installing the part that replaces the tree models, textures, etc and doesn't mess with the biome files, then it shouldn't matter. If you're installing all of HDHQ, including the parts that mess with the biome files, then I'd install DF first.
  12. Put on the hotbar and left click. The read shortcut doesn't work on items that use GainSkill for some reason. I have absolutely no idea why, but it does work from a left click. I need to add that to book localization.
  13. Scrap books and schematics you don't need. I did try to put some quests in specifically for that, but they were SUPER broken, so I need to revisit that. The forum is evil. It feasts on posts and souls. No. I'm not planning to add Manu's vehicles. I don't see the point in adding more stuff just for the sake of it. You can make it work with some minor tweaks to the modlet XML though. - - - Updated - - - Did you try using it from your hotbar?
  14. Yes. I screwed up the code. I set it to unlock at 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. The problem is it ONLY unlocks slots at those levels. So you lose the extra slots at 3, 5, 7 and 9. However this is now fixed and will be in tomorrows patch. Also, you can build a pipe pistol for that 9mm and at least start working on your pistols skill,
  15. Tomorrow. I gave it to the folks in discord for testing last night, and I'm out most of the day today. Should give time to find any showstopping bugs.
  16. Yeah, I don't get why that is happening to be totally honest, but I've reproduced it locally. For now, I'm turning off the ability to craft it in the advanced forge. That fixes the issue even though the advanced forge recipe should not be showing up in the normal forge.
  17. Already found and fixed it. It was missing titanium too, which I've also fixed. Doesn't seem to work on forges already in the world though, so I'd pick it back up and stick it in a chest or something.
  18. Okay, so the green numbers are the level you have. The problem is we have to use cvars to represent the levelling and the game considers that to be a temp bonus instead of a proper level unlock. That's why you can still pay points, but you don't need to. You DO have level 100. However, mining is currently bugged because I set the wrong tag. Fixed it last night and a friend tested to confirm it's working.
  19. Oh I wish I could use that. There was a proper gore texture in the files from A14 but they removed it... which is a shame. I'm going to play with textures later and see if I can find something more suitable.
  20. Aha, I see. The texture is a little bit of a pain, but TFP got rid of the gore one so I'm trying to make do with whatever is available right now. I'm only getting about 6-8GB RAM usage on my laptop. Can't really fix that with XML because it's loading extra models and textures via the external unity3d files. It is and it SHOULD be fixed. I noticed it last night before I went to bed. Going to look at getting 2.01 out by monday.... hopefully. That sounds like the modded DLL isn't installed properly, because it cannot load my custom code. I'd try reinstalling the mod on the server and see if that fixes it. Nice catch. Found and fixed. Was set to max level 1 when it should've been 2.
  21. I would probably wait. I've been editing stuff to fix bugs on a single save and haven't NEEDED a restart, but I logged in and died once.... because the game hates me. So there's that.
  22. Looks normal, but that's very dark so hard to tell. Big Forge is 3 slot instead of 2 slot. Advanced forge smelts titanium... the other two don't. The amrour descriptions are like that in vanilla too... I didn't change them. It's a 2 level perk. First level unlocks the crossbow, second level unlocks the compound bow. I did consider making them seperate perks like A16, but I thought that might just be annoying for the player. You're just special, Scyris. I'll keep an eye out for the trader one. Scavenging is a little iffy in the build you guys have... sometimes it doesn't level at all, sometimes it does what you're describing. It's more consistent with the fix I have applied. I don't use the launcher, so I have no idea I'm afraid. - - - Updated - - - Yeah, it's a bug as noted in the list of fixes last page. So I've fixed it locally, but not put out the fix yet.
  23. POSSIBLY fixed. Will need to do more testing, but I changed how scavenging levels so folks will get that more consistently anyways. I saw it was an issue on servers where logging out and back in fixed it. I mean, I'm not gonna lie... it's pretty funny. Especially on a behemoth. It's like pyramid head had some kind of horrific child.
  24. Regarding creating player issues. Restarting the server MAY fix it. Had 1 confirmed case so far.
