  1. I agree that the low level grass is horrible. I like to clear the area around my base and horde area (especially in UL since you need so much grass anyway), with that new grass it is a real mind numbing task of even being able to find the short stuff to hit it. Awful stuff, I hate it.

I'm watching this very closely now.  So far, they do in fact dodge me still - but there's always something like an obstacle involved, and those obstacles don't always do anything to really impact the combat.   But I can say I've seen first hand that its not always about squeezing through tight spaces.

Avoiding an obstacle IS avoiding a tight space and no, they are not dodging you. They are dodging blocks, be it building blocks or trash.

It was kinda unfun but maybe not for the reason you're thinking; the problem was I was way too powerful way too fast.

Yea, intentionally rushing the game ruins it imo.

In A17, people started farming screamer hordes by lighting campfires. In the end, only one thing made players stop was that you now can change the XP multiplier in the settings. People who want to get to max level as fast as possible just turn it up to 300%.

Nah, they do both. Farming screamers at 300% xp.

this year a new game will come out called The Day Before. w/e pvp players are left i'm sure will be playing that instead when it releases.

Lovely, less griping to wade thru for the rest of us about a game that is NOT designed as a PvP game. If you can't get that simple truth thru your head then either suffer with it or go elsewhere.

All sorts of slits, actually. Alpha 20 has full sized arrow slots, 1/2 block sized arrow slits and 1/4 block sized arrow slits. The 1/2 block sized arrow slits have four variants: straight (traditional), corner, T junction and cross junction. I'm using the 1/2 block sized arrow slits, and I think on this horde night I have all variants except the straight.

If you can look at that footage and honestly say that any of those blocks should stop acid then you're just blind. Stop looking for "cheat" blocks. That's the silliest looking thing I've seen in a very long time.

I mean I theory it would make sense because the arrow slits of course have a small hole in them and some vomit could get in so to me it makes perfect sense

Yep, and reaching thru that slit to repair stuff another 3 feet beyond it never made a lot of sense either.

Are we playing the same game?  Not a night goes by when the zombies don't do that stupid duck when I'm trying to hit them midcenter to head.

Then look to what is causing it. Either something above or below them. They only do it to fit thru small spaces. they DO NOT do it to avoid your attack. It is simply NOT in their coding, at all. Period. End of Story. Full Stop.

what you would rather see and play on in 7d2d: a server full of AIs or a server full of real people?

Oh that's a really simply answer. A server full of AI's. Every day and all day. People are a**holes. AI's are not vindictive a**'s. AI's don't destroy your stuff while you're offline either.

Do I have any kind of certainty that I will still have 19.X available for the next, say, 2 years? Since they already removed ONE of the TWO 19.X versions available?

You can have multiple copies on your PC at the same time.... just rename them. If you're really that worried just copy them all and zip up a backup. But asking them to make all point releases for eternity when there is no reason to is laughable. There simply in NO NEED for a 19.3 AND a 19.6.

I’m pretty sure this has been answered, but it was probably way before my time, so apologies in advance if this is a repeat. Is there a reason why Zombies are able to dig and why there is no option to shut that off like you can with feral sense and the other zombie abilities?

Also is there a reason why zombies have the ability to dodge, duck, and evade like Neo from the Matrix? I could accept this from the mutants (i.e. Screamers, Spiders, Wrights, the new boil having guy, and irradiated) because they aren’t zombies. But when a basic zombie is able to react and move like rigor-mortis isn’t a thing, it makes as much sense as the ability to dig with bare hands and not absolutely wreck said hands in the process.

Will we ever see an option to turn off digging completely and/or the Neo-esque abilities from basic zombies?

Zombies dig because the Devs want them to. Zombies don't dodge.

Honestly that part is irrelavent though, the primary concern is that they know your location and it dosen't matter if I am crouched in the dark being sneaky, they still spawn in as angry zeds and will start attacking your base if you are near it

13 hours ago, Speaking The Truth said:

i have noticed that after every horde night the next special zed is spawned, On day 8 a screamer spawns outside my base. On day 15 a spider spawns, on day 22 a cop spawns..

That's absolutely untrue. Nothing spawns a screamer except heat so............. think what you may but it is NOT the game progressively throwing you "sample" zombies. Just not at all what it happening.

The second again is not what is happening. The wandering hordes do NOT have an "attack base" command order given to them. Period. End of sentence. Full Stop. They have a path near you then IF they see you they aggro against you. Nothing aggros them against your base unless you are in it when they see you and they enter destroy area to get to you.
