    @Jost Amman The jerk flipped my jeep over; oddly enough it was stuck like that until I re-entered the vehicle. *Shrug*

    That's surprising because I remember faatal, a long time ago, saying this would not happen when he first started working on the new vehicle code.

    He said there's something in the code that will always revert back your vehicle in the resting position...

    That's great news!

    What are the highlights of that version that can benefit 7D2D? (I mean, apart from being a bit faster...)

    Guys, I think what MM is saying is that the special infected won't be a feature for A20.

    That seems pretty clear to me.

    Such one would have a small tower connected to a little office, and maybe one or two hangars (literally just big empty square room...hey cool even me could design those 😂).

    So a reasonably small "airport" POI would consist of nothing more but plain surface, one or two little buildings, and more plain surface surrounded by 4 walls and 1 roof.

    Sounds more like a POANI to me.

    I can't see the added value of an huge airport honestly. If the game was able to handle hundreds of zombies at the same time then, yes, if would be thrilling to try to take over an airport. But since we have technical limits on that, it would just be a huge waste of POI space IMO.

    I told 'em it's ridiculous and that you're actually into building. In fact you both build cool BM bases and very nice "weekday" bases that you showcase here.

     

    This guy is pointing to one of your comments some time ago, here:

    I told him that he's reading to much into it and that comment was mainly about performance. Can you please clear this out once and for all?

    Do you support building, crafting, etc... or do you just want to convert 7D2D to a "dumb FPS"?

    Edit: yeah, I see there are no instructions at all... I'd suggest you ask a question there directly to the mod author.

    The real problem is, IMO, that implementing such elaborate moves with at least two actors involved would be a huge time sink for the devs.

    If ya'll keep working like this you could even add something like the finish kill-moves from Skyrim to combat. :smokin:

  12. @faatal, I don't remember the name of the young dev who's taking care of the drone (sorry) so I'm asking you... how is development of the drone going along?

    In the first stream I remember the basics (flying, following, healing and attacking) were working, but you mentioned some problems with pathing on "rough" terrain... did he get around those problems yet?

    Yeah, this also happens frequently to me during a normal game (A19 latest).

     

    IMO it makes sense though, since acquiring a schematic early on isn't OP or unbalanced at all: your crafting level still depends on how much you invested in that weapon's attribute and specifically in that weapon's perk. On top of that some BPs (blueprints) need forged steel or something you can't access yet.

     

    Even better, I see it as an opportunity for a player to choose between "Do I keep investing in what I wanted at first (e.g.: I wanted to be a stealth archer), or do I start investing points into that BP's tree so that in a few levels I'll be able to craft a very solid weapon?".

    I disagree. Criticism should be always allowed, even and especially if you don't agree.

    As long as the discussion remains healthy it should never be "trashed"; redirected if OT? Yes, but never trashed.
