Not sure if you're referring to my OP or to the other guys's ideas... in any case I'm not a modder. :noidea:

Well, if a modder likes that idea, you might have a chance of them doing it, worth a try doing a post in the mod forum if someone is interested in doing it. We do know how slim the chances are that a suggestion like this actually get´s in the game offically.

  2. @SylenThunder And instead of capping the level you can get with combining they removed it. It wasn´t the abuse, that could have easily been solved.

And you assume numbers again. You don´t know that. Just because they don´t complain anywhere, doesn´t mean they like it or that they don´t notice it. Pretty much everywhere you see people complaining about it. Posts about people liking it on the other hand....

I mean the game already runs badly with BASIC rasterization, I doubt they know how to do ray tracing.

Nearly all FPS drops and lags are due to the CPU. Like downtown near skyscrapers. Or a lot of Z´s at once. High-may settings basically never hit my GPU hard and it´s a RX6600XT

Still don´t see any reason to add raytracing.

If you don't see a problem with a game in alpha having a spinoff, that's fine. We exist in different universes of thought, but whatever it's 2024.

So you have no real arguments other than "This isn´t right" What exactly is your problem? I really don´t see one. Nothing would change for 7 days to die if they don´t do this.

Does advisory role mean "taking a cut by letting you use our brand"? Why does a game stuck in an eternal alpha need a spinoff?

What does beeing in alpha have to do with hiring a developer studio for a game you want to get done? I mean i would get if people are upset if they would develop it on their own. But this has zero effect on the 7 days to die development.

@Vampirenostra They didn´t sell right afaik. They hired a dev studio. And it´s gonna be a dead by daylight like game. One players as the zombie hivemind vs a group of survivors, propably 4 i guess. WIth survival and building elements.

The other big advantage of the zombie spawns being triggered by entering a volumetric space is that you can work your way through a poi and not be waking up zombies that are 3 floors above you when you fight the zombies in the first room.

Wich would be way more immersive. It´s so riddiculous that i can throw around grenades in one room and the Z´s in the next room keep sleeping. But it seems we will get wandering "sleepers".

If you log off after horde night starts, I am pretty sure it just acts like it's finished/over when you restart. I did that once because I was waiting for a friend to log on and when we restarted the horde never came. Not sure if this is your situation.

I never had this happening. I quite often log off and on again during the first few bloodmoons so that i have a full horde night. It always restarts the horde for me.

Vehicles physics may get minor tweaks, but they should not be getting any major changes. Sounds have not changed. No UI changes in 22.

Any change to the damage model? You guys went from 0-100 in one update again. It´s actually annoying to drive a vehicle right now. Beeing able to kill zombies again with them is literally useless.

There is mods to reset back to the A20 damage model, but i would much prefer a middle ground.

A21 has perk/magazine crossovers that need to be sorted out for A22. with the cooking magazines the master chef perks are redundant and a waste of points.  Its the same with grease monkey i havent put any points into it and i am only 10 magazines away from building a gyro.  the amount of points to max strength and then grease monkey are better spent elsewhere. I suppose it gives the player a choice . is there any overhaul of the magazine /perk duplications in A22?

There is no duplication. Those perks don´t unlock recipes. They let you craft faster with less ressources.

  10. Get your PR done right please. There is people that do not use social media.

Doesn´t matter what we are talking about. If there is an announcment, do it on all your portals and platforms. It´s not like it´s hard work, you can basically copy/paste. If i am generous we are talking about 30mins of work and that´s beeing very generous. Propably about 10mins. If even.

  11. Well there we have it, it´s not about water. Or the need for a new crafting skill system. It´s about using POI´s and the trader. Wich they could do all day long with the old system aswell. It´s not about their personal preference but forcing a playstyle onto everyone imo.  Still need to search for that jar thing though.

If you have quests and a trader, you need to balance that. It´s not the players job to balance the game with their playstyle and avoid quests and traders to not outpace the need of crafting.  You can´t just go and say, well it´s your fault that you do quests everyday and mess up balance by doing so.

If a system is easily abusable by min/maxing it´s not a good system and needs to be reconsidered. It´s not the players fault. It´s the devs that make it possible.

  12. Haven´t we already been at the point where roland said he just assumed that they are removing the jars for that reason? I really need to take screenshots. Well in this case it isn´t too far back to search, like when someone from the team claimed the spawn slider is only temporarily removed for balancing reasons. And now we get crossplay and i am 100% sure that slider will never come back due to console hardware limitations.

Definitely much better.  I never understood the point of most DDOS attacks.  I mean, if it's against some competitor business, then I suppose.... but against a game developer?  That's just stupid.

I have been on the steam forums for quite a while now. I have seen people hating on TFP with a shocking intensity. I wouldn´t be surprised if this isn´t just a hater who has too much time on his hands. I mean i have seen people arguing over the development time for several months, with huge walls of text, who haven´t touched the game in years for example.

  14. @meganoth Getting rid of the jars is just a minor thing. One that makes it possible to tell people "Hey you don´t need to deal with those empty jars in loot anymore, it´s  good for you" But that could be entirely solved by making the jars a craftable only item that dissappears if you drink something. There is still so many things you throw out right away after looting. And for the problems with having too many items in the game due to Engine limitations, the new method has introduced one more item. Jars are gone, collector and filter were added.

There is nothing wrong with having the filters at the trader to make sure people have an easy way to get them. The problem is that they are exclusive to the trader.

And if madmole deceides to speak up about the reasons, why would he tell us some reasons and hold back others? That makes absolutly no sense. Unless he wants to hide that they are trying to force people into the trader/quest/looting cycle.

  15. @meganoth Well the forge isn´t as easy for new players aswell then. So why even bother if it´s targeted to the new players who struggle with looting water but for sure struggle more with a forge? Making the anvil necessary for jars  and cap the anvil at book 20 (or whatever makes sense) would have been more than enough to give a new player a struggle for early game and would have an effect on anyone no matter how experienced.

I mean let´s be honest here. the fact that you can´t craft and basically can´t loot water filters (yes there is a chance, but so small we can neglect it for this discussion)  tells us all we need to know. There is no incentive about water.

Hi there. My name is Syphirioth and I am an advanced engineer with the highest levels of intellect possible. But I still do not know how to count trap kills with all that intelligence going. Any help would be appreciated!!

You want XP from trap kills? That would be taking points in advanced engineering. That´s only for electrical traps though. There is no XP for spike kills.

Or do you mean the actual zombie killing count? I am not even sure if they count as your kill or not.

  17. But it isn´t even for new players. As you get directed right to the trader and get quests there when starting the game. And if there are quests new players will do them and hence realize pretty fast that water is plenty if you do quests/POI looting. Also the vending machines can hardly be overseen. So realizing that you can get water by questing and buying isn´t hard at all.

It´s a shame if they only care about new players tbh. I have seen that argument a lot for many things. If you deceide to take that long in development you should at least consider also doing things for veterans. (and i don´t care about the development time at all) And seeing that new player argument a lot over the years it  teaches me one thing: Not to buy any TFP early access anymore. There is surely solutions that will make it at least a very early game challenge for all of us.

Most importnant is the fact that you need to use traders and POI´s no matter what. That´s is the bad thing about this.

Any solution that doesn´t need a trader would be already a good start. I don´t care if it´s harder or easier, has jars or not.

  18. There is water everywhere in conan exiles. You have to actually forget your waterskin to get in any trouble and go to specific areas where there is no water near you that you can drink directly from the source, you can even drink the water from the sulfur sea where you need a mask to breathe. You need a waterskin and you need to remember filling it up. That´s it. There is no need for anything else. Water is nearly everywhere, even in some dungeons. You simply need to fill up your waterskin. That´s literally it. There is a well but i am not quite sure if it´s vanilla. But that´s just a QoL update for builders to stay at home. Players who go out don´t need that at all. And to top it off, there is big chance you can simply go to the next water in time at many spots on the map.

Subsistence is the same. Make a canteen and you can fill it up everywhere. Even up in the hills when there is no river or pond. Simply fill it with snow and wait till it is melted.

In Raft there is the ocean. It´s literally unlimited. Sure you need to process the water before, but that´s not a deep mechanic either.

At this point that´s literally just semantics you are discussing here. You can compare and specify for years here if you want. I think the current system sucks. Big time. Nothing anyone says can change that. It makes no sense, it only makes MP harder and only stops MP from crafting whatever you want early game. It doesn´t reduce the number of items in the game, infact it´s one more item now (that´s a thing in unity, you can only have so much items in your game before inventory lag happens)

Having to constantly empty 30 dew collectors in MP isn´t a deep mechanic or anything challenging, it´s simply annoying and thx to the OP trader getting filters isn´t either after a few days. Neither is building them. And if a party of 5 goes questing seperatly (wich isn´t the point of coop just saying that people could) unlimited water is reached as fast as with jars. So the new system actually achvied nothing from what the reasons where besides removing jars. Wich is actually really minor.

Along with the magazines this is simply trying to force us to use POI´s as much as they can. And to make the deal sweeter the quest rewards are OP af.
