That's why I put the notice about reading the release notes in the updatescripts-command: https://7dtd.illy.bz/wiki/Release%20Notes The other stuff seems to be kinda normal. bretthardin
Alloc, Thank you for everything you do. I love that you are in Germany, but had this up in no time. I really appreciate it. We'd be lost without you.
Koolio
any new permissions that need adding to the admins.xml?
Alloc
Well, there's the new buff and debuff commands, but unless you want to use a different permission level than 0 you don't have to add them
Alloc
Just uploaded a new release with a new version of the server fixes. Everyone PLEASE UPDATE ASAP as in the previous versions I made a mistake when checking what commands a player is allowed to execute.
Koolio
do we need to update an instance at all?
Alloc
On the instances you only have to remove the ShowAllPlayersOnMap config value (or rename it to ShowFriendPlayerOnMap) as the engine does not allow the config to have unknown options set. Koolio
http://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?12837-Improvements-for-the-dedicated-server/ is that stuff included in this yet? the commands for it don't seem to work if it is also "ShowFriendPlayerOnMap" was already set in config, though "ShowAllPlayersOnMap " would be nice if you have admin permission. btw when you ban someone where are the bans kept? or do they only get saved on shutdown?
Alloc
Yup, the fixes are included. Try running "version" by telnet or control panel to see if it does anything. Bans are saved in admins.xml but only on shutdown.

Alloc
So the fixes are running fine What exactly is the problem? Are the commands not recognized, do you get permission denied or what is happening?

Alloc
Admin with level 0? /EDIT: Ah, the problem is "getgameprefs". It was originally meant to retrieve a single option only so it is called "getgamepref" (or "gg") Edited August 17, 2014 by Alloc (see edit history)

FoundFootage
How to update my server? My game says server version 8.8. Do I have to run the bootstrapper again after an "updateengine"? What engine is updated with this command? Yesterday I ran the updateengine command and something was updating, but still the 8.8 message.
